I have absolutely zero confidence in TES 6.

Ubisoft just introduced a Story Creator Website for Assassin Creed Odyssey, which basically is a kit to create your own quest to the main game. Practically, via this tool, you are creating a kind of "mod" but not in the way that you can change or add some stuffs, like landscaping, etc.

Modding as we have now for Skyrim or Fallout, is what everybody is asking for but Bethesda might not be interested to allow it in the way it is now. They could come up with adding mods to their CC club and whoever would like to add those mods to the game, would have to pay a membership fee and probably pay also for the mod. These mods could be created by themselves or by only "accepted qualified" modders that might be offered to sale their mod if they would like to add it to the Club or some kind of transaction from which they will also benefit from. We have more than 7K mods combined for Skyrim and Fallout series and more than 95% of them are crappy mods. There are not more than 150-200 that are in reality worth to download IMHO.

They could also come up with something similar to what Ubisoft is doing now with Assassin Creed Odyssey, a game that on its own, is superb and does not requires to be modded but the addition of the Creator Story Mode, allows everybody that owns the game, to add your own quest ( that can be played by anybody ) and that is very interesting aspect never introduced before. The kit is easy to use and is free for those who owns the game.

Base on what is happening now, and the way Beth behaves, I do not believe they will allow free modding. They want money not to please us again with something that backfired to them when talented modders came up with some very good mods that not just enhanced those games ( Skyrim and Fallout series ) but made them more interesting and appealing. They were ashamed by the community and when they saw they could not do anything to fix their bugs, the gave us access to their CK.

Would that happen again ? Honestly, I will be very happy to be wrong about my prediction but I do not think that Beth will allow something equal to what we have now. A new horizon is ahead and the gaming industry ( Ubisoft for example ) is changing the way we will play our games from now on.

I can't count the number of times I have heard folks talking about the 'death of PC gaming', yet, here we are, and PC gaming is still going strong. With each new generation of games, and new technologies, the predictions come out. "This will be the end!"........ But, so far, it hasn't been. Nor do I expect this time to kill it off either. Still to large of a market to simply ignore it.

The morrowind CK came on the game disk. The Oblivion CK came out very shortly after the game did, Skyrim and FO4, their kits came out a couple months later. The time between game release, and ck release has been extending, and I don't really expect that to change, but, I am pretty certain that beth WILL release the CK for the next round of games as well. Its what keeps their games popular for years after release. Folks are still playing/modding morrowind..... pushing 20 years later..... They would be stupid to NOT release it. Besides, where would folks come up with a 'portfolio' to apply to CC without the CK?? Though I do notice that no one seems to claim any of the work put out on CC...... I don't recall reading even a "Yeah, I worked on that." anywhere, about any of it.... NDA?

I know the Skyrim CK came out in February of 2012, but didn't they make us wait almost a year for the Fallout 4 CK?

The AC editor does sound awesome, I really appreciate their effort, but if it will not be voiced I guess it will not be that immersive - something similar was a fan made plugin in Secret world MMO and it was strange to hear no sound. and I guess audio files are too big?

I'm still not sure if I want to play Odyssey - it doesn't have Bethesda formula of openworlds - It is still an action game without assassin kind of roleplay/story like in previous AC games with more of historic story. I was hardly playing Witcher 3 - I liked it because it was a strong character with strong roleplay of a witcher and the world felt authentic, but still I wish I could play different characters from that world, but those 2 characters in AC feel more generic - they look like they are not strong enough for me to play the game. But maybe I would change my mind after I would see their background. But I really love the idea of Watch dogs Legion - play as anyone, only I don't need a squad, I would play different playthrough.

The best service model for me is still GTA/RDR2 - a strong singleplayer game, not trying to stretch the time of playthrough by the length or repeatable without reason events, with online version of the game with different characters and not that important story.

Skyrim CK came out in Febuary 2012, after much BSing and push backs by the team, but we used SkyEdit from December until that time. Fallout 4 CK came out in the year 3034. It was sent back in the past from the future to our current time by a robotic future version of Todd Howard.

The only trouble at this moment is to save money for a very good computer in order to play TES 6. If not possible, Skyrim with mods will always be your friend.

Anything that can be bought today will likely be outdated by the time TES 6 releases(unless it's going to be a rush job with half the development length compared to Skyrim/Fallout 4). I expect it around 2024 to 2026, probably 2024 is what is the planned release year since it'll be The Elder Scrolls' 30th anniversary but wouldn't be surprising if they ended up needing longer if they're going to try to do a proper TES. I would say 2026 is the probable cutoff since by then it'll be at the end of the next generation or maybe 2027 if PS5 isn't going to release till 2021 rather than next year but that seems unlikely as it already seems like the current gen is wrapping up soon and rumors point to 2020. About 6 years seems to be the norm for console generations, with the PS3/Xbox 360 being an exception.

7 years ago the GTX 600 series were released, today the entry level GTX 1650 beats the high end GTX 680 from back then so I wouldn't be too surprised if the entry level card in 2026 beats the best stuff from today. People say Moore's Law is dead but I attribute that mainly to lack of competition and it seems like Intel is going to try to seriously compete with their GPUs. High end specs from today likely will still play TES 6 but probably at low settings and similarly to current low end specs, being a possible limiting factor as to how many mods/which mods can be installed without too much performance loss or adding to instability.

Pay close attention to when he talks about the lack of "engagement" with Skyrim and FO4 players in the video. The look of disdain for the modding scene is pretty telling.

I wonder if that might be a sign that Creation Club isn't selling spectacularly?

I am still playing TES/FO games on my machine that I built more than 8 years ago. (video, and ram upgrades though......) Given that Beth doesn't seem to do dramatic changes to their game engine, I would suspect that I will be able to run TESVI fairly well, maybe not at ultra, but, certainly "high" quality. Not that I really care about how 'pretty' it is in any event.... I am in it for the game-play. :D
