Cats or dogs?

I have two dogs, and two cats..... (we just buried our third cat last week..... he was only three, and some strange disease.... he had never really been very healthy.) I don't really have a preference. But, I think I have a better relationship with my dogs, than my cats.

 

Dogs have owners.

Cats have staff.

I had seven cats at once one time. Currently I own four dogs at four cats :P (two of my cats died, one I just couldn't train to go in the box over the course of 5ish years... I've had way more dogs too, but they died as well.)

 

I can honestly say I like both just as much. Cats aren't nearly as much work as dogs to take care of though. But that doesn't mean that they're instantly better. I have a pool in my backyard and my two Australian Shepherds love to swim in it when I'm in there. I taught one of them to dive underwater too (he goes about two feet under at the most to get a pool ring I'll throw in there. He's really good at catching them now :D) My cats really just kill any bugs that happen to make the horrible decision of invading my house, but they're still fun.

 

If there was the choice, I'd vote for both myself.

 

EDIT: I'd also like to add that when I was in the Air Force and we had to patrol the base, we got this awesome watchdog named Scruffy ;D He was amazing. It was pretty funny, because one time he jumped over this five foot fence to kill a squirrel and then bring it to us (which wasn't all that pleasant, because then I had to throw it back over the fence and stop him from going to get it's body again.)

I love them both, but I prefer cats over dogs. They are easier to take care of IMO.

Definitely dog, this is my miniature english bull, Bessy who makes me laugh every single day without fail because she's got such a clownish personality :teehee:

I like both cats and dogs. Can not decide between them. Could you consider adding another choice to the poll being 'both' and perhaps even 'neither'.
