Sandatharius
I'm having an issue when trying to use Vortex to download directly into Vortex using the Mod Manager Download button. It comes up with an error window saying that "the version of Vortex Is older than the one I previously ran". Well, I already have the most up-to-date version of Vortex. I only have one version. I don't understand this error.

HadToRegister
You're running 0.18.12?
HadToRegister
Well, I asked this already, but either my post was deleted, or you posted another thread asking the same thing...Which version of Vortex are you running? 0.18.12?
Tannin42
So either you actually did downgrade Vortex and "forgot" or you have multiple copies of Vortex installed with different user accounts. You might be running your web browser with a different user account than when you're starting Vortex directly and so the browser starts a different - outdated - copy of Vortex compared to the one you're starting directly. The issue happens whenever I try to use the Download With Manager button so I either then click cancel or, If I choose "yes I'm mad", it opens Vortex which then tells me that there is a large update available. I upgrade as requested back to 0.18.12 (which is what I was running before) and then it all happens the same again if I try to use the "download with Manager" button on a mod page. I don't have multiple copies of Vortex. Only the one.
Pickysaurus
Are you sure you haven't at any point installed Vortex to a custom location? It's possible that you have one version installed using the "auto" installer and another with the manual location defined. Check the location referenced by your Vortex shortcut by right clicking it and choosing "open file location".

My game and Vortex mod folder are on a separate drive that I use for games. I couldn't see any other version anywhere. EDIT: I did a search on all drives of my computer for "Vortex" and the only thing other than the folder identifier that says "folder managed by Vortex" in all my mods, was the original install file executable.
