Brittanyba
 @BrittanybaàCan you provide links for the two mods that you're talking about?àPerhaps the problem lies with the mod themselves.I don't have access to the links right now, but one mod was to for showracemenu, and the others were beauty mods that required the showracemenu mod. When I initially enabled those mods, the game ran but I'm assuming the mod glitched because the npcs had no detail on them. Thats when i uninstalled everything and tried again. Do you think I just need to try different mods and see how they work? Or am I missing a step other than installing and enabling in vortex?   IS it Showracemenu ALTERNATIVE, or RACEMENU?Because if it's Racemenu then it also requires SKSE64 If it's SHOWRacemenu ALTERNATIVE, then it doesn'tWould that be a reason the game failed to launch? Or would that just make the mod not work properly?

SpontaneousWolf
If the game is opening, then it's probably set to the correct folder. Could you try launching via Steam or SKSE with mods installed in Vortex?i have the same problem with the other guy. i launch skyrim directly from steam and have mods installed with vortex. all mods are in the correct file location. here are the mods i have downloaded-https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/141https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1037https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2182https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30450https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/61035https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/8655https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30936 i haven't messed with any of the plugin stuff. hopefully this is enough information to help you understand both mine and the other guys problem

So, are you playing Skyrim SE or SKyrim LE?
Mikka1ah
I've been having this same problem but with skse, skyui, and brynjolf has time. Idk what the problem is specifically but there are a few things that could be the issue. I installed skse last (through vortex). I didn't think this would be an issue, but it could be causing the problem. I also already have brynjolf has time installed through steam, so the files could be clashing or something. I wanted to ask before deleting anything in case I accidentally mess it up more. Any ideas what the issues are? Sorry to post on this old thread. Pickysaurus
If the game doesn't open at all, it sounds like you've got a bunch of mods intended for Skyrim (2011) installed to Skyrim SE. This can cause an instant crash.
