achilliad123
Now I'm not saying that there are any problems with the actual mod loader function-wise, It's just I think the design is worse than the original nexus mod manager. I don't bother using it because it just looks way too cluttered for me and cramped. I think the much more simpler design from nexus mod manager is much more effective than vortex. Now I do know that I can easily access the old mod manager, but if you're releasing something new that design wise is just way more complex than it needs to be. I think you should back up a little. I do think it is a bit confusing going through the mod manager but all of the features are there and they do work fine, it just looks pretty bad. I do think it is a good start however there is just no need for multiple tabs, a bunch of minuscule features that aren't needed and a "knowledge base". If you really need tutorials to effectively use the mod manager, then clearly it's not a very good ui. But hey you can call me a nay sayer if you want but just personally, the vortex needs some improvements.
Dark0ne
Thanks for your feedback. There's definitely some areas we plan to improve on and, at some point, we'll do a complete redesign. But right now, our focus is elsewhere. If it's not working for you, then maybe keep your eyes on the site news over the next year and see if any UI/UX changes we make along the way work for you. rmm200
Under Settings / Interface you can pretty much turn off any elements you don't like.I worked professionally with usability teams for many years (Symantec, Veritas) - and nothing jumps out at me as needing to be changed. It does what I need in the fewest possible keystrokes. Changes I have requested - like profile name on the game button - went in.Most of my use case is with Bethesda games. They have a plugins tab - which is definitely needed. If you prefer NMM by all means keep using it. You will find a download link on the Vortex download page.
HadToRegister
Also, you can go to SETTINGS----->THEMEAnd use a Compact Theme, or the Regular theme and CLONE it, which will allow you to change the Margins (How much the ui is squished up), the fonts, and colors of the interface. So there are some options, if that helps, until, like Dark0ne said, they do a UI overhaul.
