Importing Mods to uninstall everything

I just downgraded to Vortex and tried to import all of my mods. i was quite impressed by the option to just import them but.. yea..

after a while i noticed that vortex just looped the installation of some mods and completly destroyed my Skyrim. After Vortex was finished i had to delete my "completly normal" 100gb skyrim folder.

i really dont want to deal with this launcher and i still dont understand why they had to kill of a perfectly fine launcher. If the problem was "that they could not propperly update it anymore", i dont understand them. The launcher worked. there was nothing to update. And now my Skyrim-Mods are gone and i dont want to mod anymore. good job launcher.

Why couldnt they just update the api on nmm? Because it had to look fancy?

Vortex was supposed to make modding easyer but even choosing the loading order is a pain.

I dont want to sound all negative but i really didnt notice anything positive to talk about.

If you're willing to provide some more info, we'd love to investigate the issue you had.

The information needed is explained here: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/7332636-how-to-post-request-support-for-vortex/

In your Vortex folder in AppData there is also a log file that would be useful for you to include if you're saying the NMM import failed. I must stress, however, most problems with this import are the result of a corrupted NMM configuration.

@Pickysaurus @Augusta Calidia - I'm pretty sure he came in, just to say goodbye and why he was leaving. Modding, really is a pain. I will be posting a thread about Mod Packs that I hope you will sticky and keep as a place to update the community about the situation around Mod Packs. TY!!!

I used the newest version of Vortex aviable on 19. August.
First I tried to mod skyrim.
I tried to import my old mods from NMM. Arround 100. Shouldn't be "a very large amount of mods".
I used it on my Main-PC:
- i5-4690
- Windows 10 Pro x64
- I'm pretty sure every driver and my Windows were up to date. I update everything once a month.
- Samsung Evo 860 with arround 600gb free space

- 16GB 2400mhz RAM
-- The rest of the PC-Specs should be very boring. I dont think that my Graphics card has anything to do with broken mods and a loop of reinstalls.
I cant provide any Log-Data due to uninstalling Vortex.

Description of error:
Mods kept installing over and over again even tho they were allready installed.
The old files were not deleted so the size of my skirim folder increased over time to more than 100gb.

I was pretty pissed that day and i kinda want to apologize for my rude comment. I still stay behind my core opinion tho.

Did you uninstall the mods with NMM after you finished importing?
