Shacary
I am not sure if because my games were bought of the Origin website, is the reason vortex will not locate it even when I added the files for where it is installed. I cannot find the installer in any of my origin games? I am so not a tech person but I hoped a little lighting effect help with my disability thanks so much for help. I don't really want to purchase the trilogy off steam … if I have to I guess mb santa get for me

Ashlay39
I have a similar problem, Only My Vortex has my Sims 4 but It can't find Mass Effect 2. I look in the unmanaged tab there are 79 games shown there, none of the Mass Effect's are there. They are in ABC order I go M and all I see is Legend of Grimlock, Monster Hunter World, Morrowind, Mount blade. Basically No Mass Effect. I got mine through Origin as well. I've used the extended search options leading strait to my Mass Effect folder but It still can't find it. I've played it for two hours so it's not that I haven't activated it. I even used the search at the top thinking I'm just that blinde but after M a s s it shows nothing. Do I need to download something else before I can do this? there is nothing on the site that tells me so searches lead me to nothing. Thank you for your time. The reason you don't see Mass Effect 1, 2 or 3 is because Mass Effect isn't supported by Vortex yet.
obieephyhm
So, is it reasonable to expect Vortex to support all the games that Nexus has mods for? And at what point?
HadToRegister
So, is it reasonable to expect Vortex to support all the games that Nexus has mods for? And at what point? The community is able to write Game Extensions for Vortex, there's quite a few already that have been written by various authors. It's an ongoing project, and I imagine that some games probably will never be supported just because of they way they need to be modded
Solution Pickysaurus Posted January 30, 2020 Solution Share Posted January 30, 2020 We would love to support all the Mass Effect titles, but we would require several community members to step up and either design the extension themselves or fully document the install patterns Vortex would need to be able to follow. I do hope to see them in Vortex one day... but I know of at least 4 complex modding patterns for ME3 alone.
huber69
still no support?
AugustaCalidia
@huber69 Vortex is open source and extensible. If a game you play and mod is not currently supported, then you yourself have the opportunity to make that happen: https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Creating_a_game_extension_for_Vortex.
