Downloads are still slow and nothing has been done...

Hello, my name is Vinicius and I am from Brazil.

And first, I'm sorry for my English that is not fully fluent.

Some time ago I went back to playing Skyrim and it was very problematic to download here from the Nexus website,

besides noticing a dozen posts mostly complaining about the speed of downloaded files

and I don't see much of a difference between premium / non-premium (if the price in euros wasn't so expensive in reais, I would like to help), I see that even those who bought premium are complaining that their downloads come at rates of 30 to 40 kbps. And honestly, I don't see administrators working an inch to fix it,

because even with so many posts created, there was no response from administrators.

I say this because I like the site. It's basically the most important thing for those who like Skyrim and his mods, just like me, and I also know how over the years these managers themselves have adjusted so that even paid mods are free. I ask administrators to solve this problem as soon as possible, I know there are expenses, but this lack of response makes us totally frustrated. And surely for Modders is not so different.

There is a saying here in Brazil that says, "We're being left flies."

A little commitment to the community is just what I ask.

I have noticed that the whole NexusMods side of the site has been significantly slower of late...... I though maybe it was due to the holiday season, and there were just more people online, but, it hasn't improved with the passing of the holidays. Wonder if we are getting on toward time for another step up the hardware food chain on the server side.......

Agreed, I don't think this is a "holiday" issue either as the problems I see are a disconnect in receiving information from the static cloud to the, as the error stated, "origin server". Too many times I've been offered to see a "snap shot" until the live data is available.

This creates long delays in page loads for the various tabs on a mod page. Generally, the description tab loads ok, sometimes I get to watch the spinning cog. More often it is the files tab in which the spinning cog takes over. Additionally, when trying to view screenshots for a mod, you get the lovely black screen and have to wait until the data decides to load in to see a screenshot. Couple this with the fact that this impacts NMM and Vortex and you end up with multiple failed downloads. This also impacts Vortex when trying to endorse a mod. You get a nice red banner notification stating that endorsement failed "please try again later".

Fortunately, as a premium user, I have no issues with download speeds, that is to say once I can get the download started. But therein lies the rub....getting to the file and getting it started. I've been having this issue for the last several weeks. I'm on a broadband connection 300 up and 300 down, gigabit network, hard-wired (c'mon, I'm a gamer everything is hard-lined). I've pinged the Nexus mods IP with varying degrees of success. I have no issues with other web pages, downloads, or streaming. It's only Nexus which has decided that "slow and steady wins the race".

Premium user for years and of late this has been the worst. Continual failed downloads, tried changing sites, worked for one or two then went back to failed, failed failed :/ It is not only the downloads, response time overall is real sluggish from the website. Very experienced user with a decent rig and so I know it isn't me.

This can't be blamed on the holidays, and it's not the first time Nexus has experienced year end rushes either. No, something else is wrong.

And still the admins report back as this being a "holiday traffic problem"

At first, I really thought there might be a problem with my ping, but here everything is normal.

This seems to me more like an excuse of "Maybe they believe ..."

That's like saying all of them are on Nexus every second of the day and they are the reason the site breaks down, I'm not buying that. Nexus has been around for a while now, I'm pretty sure this doesn't happen every time school is out.
