Zanderat Posted February 19, 2020 Posted February 19, 2020 I am using 1.14. Testing a mod I used the "Purge Mods" function. I can see in my data directory that the mods (hard links) were removed. But both the Vortex Mods tab and the plugins tab show everything as still enabled. I am thinking they should show as either "disabled" or perhaps a new status of "purged".
Community Manager Pickysaurus Posted February 19, 2020 Community Manager Posted February 19, 2020 Purging does not change the state of the rows in the mods table. It simply removes the hard-links. Vortex should prompt you that you need to deploy after purging, this is the UI change that we use to indicate deployment state.
Zanderat Posted February 19, 2020 Author Posted February 19, 2020 Still think it should be clearer. I hit that deploy button because I thought it was needed to complete the purge function.
Tannin42 Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 Purge is the inverse of Deploy. Deploy creates the links, Purge removes the links.
Zanderat Posted February 20, 2020 Author Posted February 20, 2020 Yes, I know what purge does. It's about making Vortex more user friendly. A simple display somewhere that said "purged" would help Just a button that said deploy is not clear.
