How do I know the files are downloading?

I paid for a membership to download some mods. Installed the FO Mod manager. Went to the files of the mod I wanted and clicked on the Mod manager download. I assume this is the mod due to the 11.5mb file size

Problem is. I see nothing to say anything is downloading. Usually there's a box with a timer and how much of the file is currently being loaded and I got nothing

Got a message to say the download would start in a few seconds, but nothing showing

Any suggestions or is this how the site works?

Thanks

The "MOD MANAGER DOWNLOAD" only works with Nexus Mod Manager (NMM) or Vortex(and maybe Mod Organizer). If you are not using one of these, you have to use "MANUAL DOWNLOAD", which I did/do for all the mods I use.

FYI, you don't need a paid membership to interact with this site. You can post, use the chat or download mods for free. You just need to be a member.

I managed to download something, but turns out I need a game package from Steam to play it.

Thanks for your help

Get what?

Mod Manager? I did a Google search that said I needed that to add mods. If something else. Let me know

I need dead money game to play the download, but I really don't feel like paying $7.00 for a game I really don't want. I downloaded the World of Pain mod for New Vegas

I have some mods for Fallout 4. Maybe some new ones here

I'm old school. If it starts getting to complicated to download. I just don't bother. Creating folders, drag and drop etc. I just want to download, have the game recognise it and play.

Thanks

Fallout New Vegas is a Game of the Year edition, that you can get from GOG on sale for $9.99, most of the Mods you find will require ALL the DLC

You're talking about Manually installing which is going to be a real problem

I downloaded something for FO4 with the Nexus Mod Manager, but couldn't figure out how to add the second part of the main game (first was needed to play second). Deleted it all, but somehow the first game was added and working

Just couldn't figure out the second part. Tried adding, Drag and drop and nothing did anything

Got one new game mod to play and so far OK.

Maybe will try the second part after this game is done.

Appreciate all the help

Some games here I've seen on the FO4 game mods and it's just click and download. Not sure why others are not doing it that way, but I guess its about getting a little money for their work and guessing you don't get anything if loaded directly off the game?

All the mods available here are free. The mod authors do not get any compensation at all, unless someone voluntarily donates something. This is a completely free site. You only need to sign-up and be a member.

FO4 is a newer game and was published after Nexus added the "MOD MANAGER DOWNLOAD". Those mods added before the change in the download process were not changed by the mod authors. Some will work with the mod manager download, but most of the older mods won't work with the mod manager download.

Are talking about the DLC?

Because I have no idea what you're talking about.

There's no way to download the DLC for FO4 with a mod manager, and that's what it sounds like you're talking about.

Are you trying to Drag and Drop the Mod ARCHIVE into the Game Data folder?

I did manage to download "Outcasts and Remnants" for FO4 This was required to play Project Valkyrie, but couldn't get PV to load.

Both recently updated

Will try again later on. Not sure of any other way. This was complicated enough. I prefer the simple download and play

Thanks
