Katarsi
When I installed Skyrim Special Edition on my PC, I installed Vortex as the mod manager. It had its issues in the past, just like any other app or piece of software, but they were resolved. Now Vortex literally forgets what mods I have installed and their load order every time I start it up.I think this started happening since the last update (1.1.15), but I can't be sure. It forgets that I have FNIS integration activated and I have to include it in deployment manually. It also seems to be at odds with LOOT and SSEEdit because even when I organize my load order in LOOT and/or in Plugins section, when I start the game or when I start SSEEdit I see that it didn't load correctly and plugins aren't positioned according to the priorities I have set for them. Perhaps I'm wrong and Vortex isn't the culprit here. I just know that my mods aren't organized as they should be. My game is updated, and all of my mods, plugins and tools are updated accordingly. I would prefer that Vortex remembers my mods, settings and load order after I turn it off, so I wouldn't have to deploy mods and sort the load order every single time when I turn it back on. Please, please investigate this on your end before you immediately sign this off as a LOOT issue.
Zanderat
Well, all I can tell you is that for me, Vortex is in sync with Wrye BASH and SSEEdit. I see no reason to use external LOOT. More info is needed to trouble shoot your issue.

Rattledagger
So you're saying that Vortex is no longer compatible with LOOT? Since Vortex has LOOT-functionality built-in, including seeing the various LOOT messages, I've never really seen the point of running external LOOT. With Vortex you have the choice of either using Vortex + custom LOOT rules you create in Vortex to sort your plugins and never use external tools like LOOT to sort your plugins, or you should disable auto-sorting in Vortex and make sure you never manually sort plugins in Vortex but instead always use external LOOT and/or other tools like Wrye Bash to sort your plugins. More info is needed to trouble shoot your issue. So you're saying that Vortex is no longer compatible with LOOT? Vortex is compatible with LOOT because LOOT is integrated into Vortex. When you sort plugins with Vortex you are sorting with LOOT. However, Vortex does give you the ability to intervene in LOOT sorting and set your own rules, which Vortex enforces over LOOT sorting. Katarsi
I don't like how LOOT is integrated into the Vortex. LOOT itself is much clearer and simpler to use. I will research how MO2 and Wrye Bash work, perhaps I'll switch to one of them. Or both. Thank you everyone for your help.
Zanderat
You can use external LOOT with Vortex. But I would set "auto-sort" to off if you go that route.
Vlad254
Vortex is not forgetting anything for me and if you do not want Vortex to use LOOT simply turn that function off.
