My thoughts on Vortex

I downloaded vortex a few weeks ago since NMM isn't really supported anymore. I mainly mod for Witcher 3. I am not a pro but not a rookie either. Anyways I had nothing but problems with using Vortex as a mod manager, specifically with Witcher 3 modding. The load order was TERRIBLE. It would display multiples of the same mod, sometimes not display the mods that were installed/reinstalled, and the worst problem was when it would no longer allow me to change the order of the loaded mods at all. I literally deleted the mods folder for the game, then deleted the vortex mod folder, deleted vortex, reinstalled and still had error messages. I sent a message to the support team, but after I deleted vortex I don't have the ability to even see the message anymore. It also appeared that when you switch/disable the hardlink so that you can have deployment of mods directly, that somehow it doesn't clean up the old links. Anyways, I am using W3 mod manager now with 0 issues and I feel like it's much much easier. Hopefully there are updates come as using Vortex seemed like it was going to be great until I actually started using it. Just my 2 cents.

I'm trying to figure out what you mean by "Change the load order of the mods at all", because I'm using Vortex to mod The Witcher 3, and I've never been notified, or had the need to sort the load order?

The most important part is to make sure that the mods are physically written so when you use the script merger it will actually merge the scripts.
