HadToRegister
When I try to deploy the mods it tells me to select a deployment method but there are no methods to chose from. What to do? Your mod staging folder needs to be set, (In Vortex) to be on the same Drive as Oblivion is. Then you can pick HARDLINK Deployment. Also, note, that not all Oblivion mods are zipped up properly for a mod manager to install them, so you'll have to extract them, and rezip them up properly I wrote a lengthy article on this Vortex and Oblivion, an experiment
rexxarfj
Both the staging folder and oblivion is on the same drive (H) but I can't chose deployment method. What gives? Does it matter that the game is on an external drive?

Pickysaurus
If the game and staging folders are on an HDD with a FAT or ExFat file system you won't be able to deploy properly. If possible reformat your HDD to use NTFS
paris149
I have fixed this so far with no issues on a separate drive from my original.1. install OBSE properly. SERIOUSLY. 2. uninstall all your vortex mods.3 delete your folder titled oblivion in the Vortex Mods section, this is called a staging folder.4 create a new empty folder of the same name. no caps5. deploy with no installed mods and tell vortex where the new folder is, the exact same place but doing this will confuse it. now you will be able to deploy mods 1 by 1 with no hassle. but i only use graphics mods, also MAKE CERTAIN you have installed OBSE correctly with the 2.41 hotfix and followed the tutorials because oblivion is touch asf and will literally find any reason it can to not co-operate with you. worth noting I only use graphic mods too so I have very little knowledge on how heavy scripting based will play into this but as for deployment this will solve the initial challenge of it not letting select folders and methods
