Fvortexnexuswasbetter
Hi ! It seems there is a little unforseen defect in the new update ; one now has to manually decide wich readme file as priority over the other, a useless and time consumming thing to determine, especially having 500+ mods. Aso there is now a conflict between two mods that had nothing to do with each other, a certain "meta.ini" I read somewhere it was a mod organize file but I never had to deal with this before, and hope I won't heve to from now one. My paranoïa about updating this program has risen 100%. Thank you ! P-S : Don't mind my name, I am a control freak an I remember a time when I could not control my load order with vortex, so when I had to change my username I just listened to my soul speak :p
hellsteel
I just updated Vortex and got also these file conflicts between mods that have nothing to do with each other than being installed with Vortex, not just readme.txt and meta.ini files but also info.xml file in subfolder Fomod in Data folder of Fallout 4.The conflict warnings appeared the moment Vortex restarted after updating. Dark0ne
The Vortex devs are aware of this issue, I believe, and hope to fix it soon. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Reinhardsson
Just gonna leave this here: The last time i updated the Vortex Mod Manager (2 weeks ago, or so), it somehow deleted it's own links to all installed mods by itself. It then had to redeploy every single mod it found in the modded game. Is that normal? Will it happen again? If it's not normal; any idea what could have caused this? SirLorn
So, I still cannot use Vortex to launch my modded games.....is there any update!? I mean, it is seeing ReadMe.txt's and FOMOD .xml files as conflicting......

I mean, it is seeing ReadMe.txt's and FOMOD .xml files as conflicting...... The problem with that, is readme.txt gets put in the same place.Click on the MORE in the conflict dialog, and do the LOAD BEFORE or LOAD AFTER thing, (only for the README.TXT files) in order to get Vortex to stop reporting themOverwriting a readme txt doesn't matter either way

But first i am gonna lose my s***, because it f***ing did it again. It deleted the mod staging folder. And now this thing is trying to DELETE ALL INSTALLED MODS... I didn't even ask it to update in the first place...

You should be putting your Mod Staging Folder in something like D:\Mods etc Putting ANYTHING inside the Vortex folder is the worst thing you can do because the Vortex Folder gets deleted with a new updateAlso Turn off the Automatic Updates, and it'd help if you read the built in Knowledge Base. I can appreciate you trying to be helpful, but you weren't
