Well, based on existing information the PS4 is not going to be a hardcore's weapon of choice. The controllers are a joke, a bad joke; the stick placement is laughable, even with my hands they'd be uncomfortable. if I wanted to play by holding an I-phone and using horribly inaccurate virtual joysticks at the very furthest top corners, I'd buy an actual I-phone. The system's looking more and more like the sort of "mass market" rubbishb that's pushed me further and further away from consoles, and forged me into a member of the glorious PC gaming master race.

from what ive seen, they look alright. not too different from previous controllers, except a little wider to hold the biometric touch screen in the middle. but the stick placement is the same as before. which personally ive never had a problem with. and prefer it to an xbox controller. nothing ive seen, has placed the joy sticks anywhere besides where theyve always been. not sure what you are talking about " virtual" or "very furthest top corners" and the paddle looks nothing like an iphone nor handles like one.

 

as far as the touchscreen goes though i hate it. i dont want to have to touch a screen while playing a game. i just want to use a controller.

 

but i guess we will just have to wait and see on the 20th what everything is going to look like.

Here is another update on the ps4, they say its going to cost around 400$ which at launch cost 200$ less then the ps3 first gen models. not to mention the 1000$ price tag on Ebay lol.

And the controller pretty much the same, except some additional features maybe ???

The way I see it its a 50/50 chance it'll be the ps4 or some useless junk (I recall some other big company did that a bit ago.). However, I don't believe it'll be the ps3 as from what I've heard they were in a stand off with microsoft, not to mention there current state of decline.

They've been getting things wrong for years now, those who thought devaluing the Yen would fix things didn't do their homework. It's used to be the case that you knew what you'd get if you bought Sony, you paid more but you knew you had bought a quality product, these days you don't know what you're getting, some of their stuff is very good but some of it is quite clearly budget, their audio systems are the worst culprit. Their product lines are confusing, again you have no idea what is quality and what isn't and in a lot of cases they release several models of something that are damn near identical and thus they end up competing with themselves. They lost a chunk of the TV market share by being late with flat panels, the same goes for computer monitors. Then there's the elephant in the room, Smartphones. Smartphones are eating away at handheld console sales, digital compact cameras, MP3 players and video cameras, these are all things Sony make. They let Samsung, Apple and others take the lead there and have don't precious little to fight back. The Sony Xperia Z looks pretty impressive but it's expensive, the screen is dodgy and will no doubt be overshadowed by the Samsungs S4 when that hits the shelves. :confused:

I doubt they would have always on drm on the ps4, because psn is free and they have Ps+ and so on, i doubt anything would change much in regards to drm like the kind thats being rumoured for the new xbox. except for no used games, which sounds allot like steam and cd keys for pc. http://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/teehee.gif

I saw that on IGN a few days ago, lol its seems like that the only real big source for ps4 news, as most of everything i come across comes from there.
