Any Hope For Frostbite Game Engine Games (like Dragon Age Inquistion) In Vortex?

But the situation around Frostbite isn't great. For one thing afaik none of us have any existing experience with modding for that engine, but from what I heard the engine is fairly difficult to mod.

The existing tools (or tool? Frosty Tool Suite) is closed source and I haven't seen any documentation regarding how it works under the hood.

Plus, to my knowledge, it's a UI-only application with no command line interface.

 

So our options are to either replicate a lot of reverse-engineering work or do an awkward integration where we basically just set up certain things and then tell the user to do the rest inside Frosty. Not sure how useful that second option would be.

What Vortex does do, is make it easy for game enthusiasts to write their own extension.

All you need is a Frostbite expert modder who is motivated to do the extension. Free snacks might help.

I believe the Star Wars Battlefront 2 extension dabbles with Frosty, but I could be mis-remembering

Oh, I also have a deep hope for it :ermm: During the last few days, I have been researching this issue using additional resources and understood that all we have is a hope)) So, have learned many essay examples both for hope and for gaming, also found articles and announcement, so it looks pessimistic( But we will never say never!
