I like being a dragon, collecting item skins, building my house (I shaped it like a silly ghost), and doing the big dungeons. Yesterday I defeated the Cupcake Cenobite boss. It was a fun dungeon, I appreciated the Hellraiser reference, and at the end I got a hat that was a kitten in a cardboard box. I've tried Minecraft, and I just couldn't get into it. I could very well get bored with this in a few weeks, and I hate the PTW aspect, but for now I'm loving it. Also there is no report function in the game which is a big problem. If someone is abusive in the game you have to send a report email.

If you like being a dragon so much and want to be one in a game, and willing to spend at least 20 bucks then go to secondlife :P

I wish there was actually good dragon games out there :(

Well there's a kickstarter out for a good one that's in the works. It's simply called Dragon: The Game.

Honestly, it looks like the typical early access Greenlight stuff that will be never completed. Maybe you can be a dragon man in Dark Souls III too. Who knows.

What I can currently remember, regarding games involving being dragons:

- Spyro, obviously

- The I of the Dragon

- Um... Shyvana in League of Legends?

- Dragon Knight in Defense of the Ancients 2?

- Neverwinter's Dragonborn race, although they're deprived of tails and wings and cost an arm and a leg. Full blown pay-to-win too.

- There was an online game which actually had the balls to have a playable dragon race. Istaria I think, though it's pretty old. Haven't tried though.

It makes me sad though, that so many games can't have awesome features introduced (such as playable dragons) due to muh mechanics or muh inequality. Like centaurs and issues with mounts and gear. Because it would be such a disaster if one race couldn't ride mounts, right?

Are we counting mods too? I absolutely love Ryukaissen for Morrowind.

I can confirm Istaria (previously known as Horizons) to be a really good one, at least by my definition, and they emphasize quite a lot on the dragon aspect of the selectable races.

I had the favor to play a X weeks of free trial for a while, and I must say I can't remember any game I had as much fun playing in quite a while...

...too bad I can't afford regular payments for a game I wouldn't even get around to play more than perhaps 1 day a month now, if at all,... or I would so be subscribing it right away.

I'm still receiving like monthly newsletters with talk from the devs about new content packages being developed and or deployed to the live servers, so it may be safe to say they're still actively expanding it as we speak.

And I copy that Ryukaissen nudge, as it was like "the" mod that sparked my interest to do what I'm doing now, and I consider it actively responsible for the existence of my current Anthro-Dragon Race mod and whatever else might come of it in future, or in different games even maybe.

Time of Dragons: is free on steam though it has mixed reviews

How to Raise your Dragon: is free on Kongregate, and it's a fun pixel game that I've played several times http://www.kongregate.com/games/GregoryWeir/how-to-raise-a-dragon

Legend of Spyro: you can play Spyro or Ember, and you can fly

Neverwinter Nights: If you play a shifter, at higher levels you can use Dragon shape to become a dragon, http://nwn.wikia.com/wiki/Dragon_shape

Trove: again on Steam for free

Burning Skies - Flyable Dragon Races 3 by ElSte17 and UbuntuFreakDragon (Skyrim mod here on Nexus. I haven't tried it)

player.setrace dragonrace maybe?

Dark souls: kinda

I've played the Pre-Alpha for the game. I will tell you it has a long way to go.

FYI, the actual name of the second character is Cynder, and is a surprisingly interesting character, from my experience with the Legend of Spyro. They honestly need to do a new Spyro Game similar to Legend of Spyro, other than the incredibly sad Skylanders Series. I haven't seen Spyro in the promotional art as of late, either. Strange...

I've played Trove, as I mentioned before, and let me tell you it gets really difficult once you reach the Uber Worlds, Uber-1 being fairly difficult and Uber-3 being Trove's equivalent to Dark Souls. And it goes all the way to Uber-6. I'm not looking forward to it in the slightest.

Also be ready for a grind, because it'll take awhile to git gud at the game. *I hate you Dark Souls...*

I understand, but I tend to get bored after a couple of months on a game, and I'm not paying anything so I'm not too worried. After all I can always play the lower level worlds. Cynder! Dang! Ember is the pink dragon from the earlier games, DOW! And here I was being all proud of my list! XD
