Is Skyrim voice acting free?

Well, it's more than likely a yes, because skyrim 'mods' are free.

If the person making the mod isn't getting paid, then he's jot going to want to pay just to use a voice actor.

I'm so sorry... :(

Not 100% true, I just had an offer from someone who seen my reel who offered to pay me to do VA for their mod. I declined so long as the mod is meant to be free, and offered instead if when I am done they can Tip if they like the lines.

 

I also had another amazing modder tip me a decent amount for doing some lines for them without me even asking which was appreciated.

 

I'd say it depends on the individuals, but more than likely for you get paid VAing someone is going to approach you and offer to pay. If you approach then and ask to be paid it'll never go well for you.

Experience: I've made my own mod called Radacat, and I'm a drama student. Other than that I'm only just starting

 

Skills: I can use audacity and make .WAV files. I can use some of the effects in audacity for special effects. I am also very good with accents and pitch modulation (high or low).

 

About me: I love acting in general but doing the scripting and stuff for mods is a bit out of my range so i would like to help people who can do that sort of stuff.

Im just wondering if there is anyone who'd be interested to take part in very big project size of (Falskaar) which is pretty much finished but the problem is that there is very big lack of voice acting. It has over 30 unique actors completly new land, story and everything if anyone would be interested please write to me.

Hello everyone! Although I'm a noob sort of to the Nexus I have dived into character creation before and have had some minor success here at the nexus with followers. With that said I'm always trying to make my next creation better than the last so I have began experimenting with custom voices. I have an actual follower now all set with some voice however, it is limited to maybe 10 lines because my voice sounds too masculine so I used some I found on the web. Then magically I found this thread and poof here I am. Anyway enough blabbering, I'm looking for a female of course that would like to voice a witch follower. She is serious yet smart mouthed and sassy. With a nice evil witch laugh at times such as one line may be when noticing an enemy.."I see youuu! " laughs" now die!". And or a common line such as, "Would you like to do me a solid?"..." Anything for you my little pretty as long as it doesn't involve my broomstick!' (I know I suck as script writing). 'm really not looking for extensive dialog that goes to 5000 lines or anything but maybe at least past 20 maybe :tongue: Because I'm just learning the custom voice end of CK now and still have yet to learn the triggers and how to use them such as combat taunts and idle chatter. This is basically an idea I had for Halloween but would like to release sooner than that, and as you know more dialog can always be added in later. Thanks in advance and if turning into a sassy, multi personality witch is for you, then by all means PM me.

Alright folks... so I'm gonna refresh my original post with this, since back then I wrote that I wasn't available at the time (due to personal circumstances) but now times have changed and I would love to get into it again. Therefore, and because the original post is buried underneath so many old pages now, I suppose it's okay to just come up with a new one, aye? Here we go:

Active Member: Yes. Thanks to some changes in my personal life, I can be active on here again.

Playable Races: Nords, Imperials, Bretons... honestly don't know, but anything without too much of an accent will probably do. Tried a Khajiit once, it was kinda ok. ^^

Experience: About 10-12 years of experience on a non-professional basis (doing voice overs / misc recordings in my spare time).

 

Skills: As stated above, I'm not really that much into accents, but can do voices / impersonations of various kinds. According to friends, my rendition of characters like Gollum, Schwarzenegger or Liam O'Brien aka Illidan Stormrage are pretty acceptable. I don't necessarily agree, but who am I to judge? :D My native language is German, but I'm fluid in English just as well. I'm familiar with common audio and video editing software, including but not limited to Adobe Audition, Premiere, Audacity and Vegas. Will do my best to deliver the best quality possible.

 

About Me: I'm being honest with you guys - doing voice acting more often (maybe even for some publicly released project) would be an absolute joy for me, especially after returning from the long break I took. I don't wanna put you on the edge any further though, so I'll attach some samples now, which should give you a general idea of things I'm capable of. Been mostly a Nord, kajit/wood elf in VERY early playtroughs. The i thought: Dragonborn is a Nord legend, hence a Nord it shall be :)

Experience:
None in voice acting (yet). Do accasionaly sing - or at least make an attempt.

Skills:
Got some neat equipment (simple Samsing microphone but it does the trick) and can add whatever effect you want. Got some skill with editing vocals on Adobe Audition.

Been playing Skyrim for about 4 and a half years now. First ''real'' game i got addicted to. I don't pretend to be a gaming nerd, got a handfull of games that i enjoy. nothing more. Discovered nexus mods about a year or two ago. Been overloading my game with mods eversince. I REALLY respect modders who create huge worlds almost better than Bethesda can. There were mods that made my jaw drop a lot more than the actual game, and i can only say; kudos to that! Would love to be a part of that.
