yohoyohoapirateslifeforme
fallout 3 and new vegas were running fine, but i wanted to try some mods, so i downloaded vortex and and a couple of mods for each. when i tried to open them again they crashed before i got to the main screen. i have tried disabling all the mods, uninstalling them, and finally removing the mods altogether. any help would be appreciated. at this point i would be glad just to be able to play them again even without mods.(if at all relevant, i only downloaded mods with a vortex download option to start with)
HadToRegister
So they crash when you run them through steam too?

rmm200
Frontier has an extensive description of what mods you must install. Follow it - exactly.

Lordgoldmane
I do not know the specific steps to undertake, perhaps someone else can tell you more about that, but a few months ago a friend of mine had issues with a few games too (F:NV and L4D2). For him it turned out to be a DirectX related issue. I think he had to reinstall or repair the drivers. Again, I do not know the precise steps, but perhaps now someone can help you further! Zanderat
If it is crashing before you even reach the main screen, then most likely it is a missing master problem.
