Kirkor88
Hello. The mod search used to work by typing only part of a word. For example I could type "squir" and it searched for all mods having that phrase in their name (squirrels, squirrel, squire etc.). It was extremely helpful, as some modders are not english native speakers, and they can make mistakes/typos in longer/difficult words. It also helped when you looked for certain phrase, but you didn't have to look for plural forms separately - by typing "thie" you could search for: Thief, Thieves, Thief's etc. Now it has changed and you have to put accurate word to find what you are looking for. HadToRegister
I just tried it, you can still put in partial words, you just have to wait a few seconds.I tried Thie and Fore Fore brought up Fore's Idle Animations, along with FOREST mods, and mods with the word FOREVER in them.Thie brought up the usual result of "Thief and Thieves etc... showler
It works in the quicksearch (the "wait a few seconds" approach). It doesn't work if you hit the search button to get a full list of results.
Pickysaurus
When the website is busy the quick search results (the drop down on the same page) may become a bit intermittent. Pressing enter will still allow you to full search, or as others have said, wait a few minutes and retry.
showler
Like the OP said though, "thie" in the full search will not turn up "thieves guild" and "thief skills" like it does in the quicksearch. You just get "no results".
Sebiale
I'm seeing the same behavior as OP--the quicksearch can search partials, but the main search page seems capable of only searching full words. I can't say that's a new behavior or not, I don't think I've ever tried searching a partial in the main menu before.
Pickysaurus
We are currently experimenting with a new back-end to the search so I've passed this feedback onto the web developers to take a look :)
Tenurialrope3
This issue of the mod search not accepting partial words/text is still happening as of now, I myself noticed it a couple of days ago.I don't want to sound demanding, but this inability is a very annoying and problematic one atleast to me.So can we get some words that this is something that will eventually get fixed, or will we just have to live with it? (I realise this thread was off the front/first page, but it seems better to comment here than starting a new thread on the same thing. My apologies if I did wrong in that.) There have been some higher priority issues to correct first. You can still us partial words in the "quicksearch" that pops down under the search bar.
