Vortex is downloading 'something' but no clue what.

OK 1 mod is downloading, at 0-29 kb/s with occasional bumps up to 50 kb/s. This isn't a connection issue because I can pause vortex, switch to steam and start a pending download on steam and go at 5 mb/s w/o an issue. This has something to do with either vortex, or vortex's download servers. I've switched to the closest download server to me (Los Angeles) with out any improvement of speeds from Vortex. It kinda sucks because nothing else on my computer is having a speed issue in regards to the internet EXCEPT for vortex.

DID YOU CHANGE YOUR DOWNLOAD SERVER ?

(He asked for the third time)

vortex is only a mod manager, it doesnt do jack to your download speed.

you may need to futz around with other servers, or, go to the main feedback forum and post up the data the nexus staff need to help you along.

Yes. I've switched to the LA server, and the Chicago server and the same issue occurs. The download speed is measured in kb/s and this is recent behavior. I could understand it if I had made changes to my computer or to my internet provider etc, then I'd be questioning that, but Vortex is the only software I am having speed issues with. Steam, no issues. EVE online, no issues, FF14, no issues. Ookla speed test shows me at 45 mb/s down and 25 mb/s up (which is just under my capped speeds). It's not a speed issue on my end that I can see.

*edit* And just a note. Both the forums and nexus site are slow as well. It may be a down the pipe issue that is ISP related in regards to nexus and Vortex. I've a call into my ISP atm to see what is going on.

There's definitely been something wrong for quite a while now, because I actually had a 524 timeout error when going to the Skyrim Special Edition mod page with my Browser, and random 520 or 502 gateway errors no matter what time of day.

I'm on the East Coast

Try the CDN server. It is brand new and has 51 locations around the world. If the CDN download location AND all the other locations are slow for you then unfortunately there is not much we can do for you as it sounds like there's some bad connectivity somewhere along the line.

I was originally connected to the CDN servers. I switched to the LA and Chicago servers per the request above. But since vortex CTD a cpl minutes ago, my speeds have increased to a fearfully fast 130kb/s average. /s
