Bassmonk15
I've recently (4 or 5 years ago) made the switch to PC gaming and when it comes to modding I'll be honest I'm a little in over my head here. I set up a new gaming PC a few weeks ago, downloaded Steam and Skyrim and got to work downloading all my mods from my old PC directly from the in-game Mods section (which I guess is bethesda.net mods?) and one of my all-time favourites isn't supported by Bethesda anymore (Amazing Follwer Tweaks). I found it and all my other mods on Nexus so I thought I'd give that a go and downloaded Vortex as my mod manager. Downloaded all the mods I wanted, installed and enabled them and checked my in-game load order and they're all there (minus pictures or descriptions). But when I go to start a game in which they're all needed the game tells me they're all missing. This PC has about a 1.5TB drive in D:\, which is where I've stored all of my mod and game files, but now I'm worried that there's a compatability issue between C:\ and D:\ that I've somehow missed. Is it just bad in general to run games and mods off of a D:\? I feel like such a noob asking questions like this but I've done hours of Googling and I just don't get it! Help please! DoctorKaizeld
Personally I recommend not using the in game mod menu and generally avoiding Bethnet mods and just get em from here. That said no there should be no issue. My skyrim is on my F drive and my Vortex is on my C drive. They run fine. Have you tried redeploying them? Are you launching the game via vortex and not steam? The MOD STAGING folder for the game needs to be on the same drive as the game is WHERE do you have SKyrim Installed, and which Skyrim is it? Is it Skyrim Special Edition? SETTINGS------>MODS what is the path to your Mod Staging Folder?Below that, what is the Deployment Method? DO NOT open the In Game Mod Manager
