SwiftCookie Posted February 13, 2021 Posted February 13, 2021 Hey I'm new to the modding scene/Vortex and I was wondering are these sorts of download speeds normal for a free member? Not even hitting the 2MB limit. https://imgur.com/a/1SA2kIq

Also the downloads will go to about 30KB/s for a split second and then stall and then jump back to 30KB/s and then stall etc etc.

So fluctuating from 30KB/s to 0KB/s to 30KB/s to 0KB/s to 30KB/s as a free member without an Adblocker is normal then? Shouldn't I be hitting 250KB/s?
Seletus Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 Have you found a way to fix the issue? I have the exact same problem/slow download pattern.
joinEVEonline Posted September 20, 2021 Posted September 20, 2021 I have Premium and find downloads fluctuate between 500KB/s and 0, very disappointing.I get better speeds downloading manually
Tannin42 Posted September 20, 2021 Posted September 20, 2021 Vortex doesn't limit download speeds in any way (unless you use the bandwidth limiter in settings->downloads).The server enforces the download speed limits free users, not Vortex. If your downloads are slower than 1MB/s (or 2MB/s if you don't adblock) then that's caused by the server or your network connection to the download server.
