  1. What I've done so far is right click on folder, properties>security> and in that list they all have Permissions 'allow' ticked
  2. hi thanks for response. They do have access on both user and admin levels. Can I remove CREATOR OWNER safely?
  3. Hi this seemed to happen all of a sudden. I'm updating a mod so I just copy paste after extracting the zip file. Something I've done countless times, however tonight it says I don't have permission to do this. So doing some searching apparently the entire steam folder is controlled by a CREATOR OWNER which hasn't existed before as my laptop usually runs under admin and user. I can't seem to change this ownership or get access as admin. This is the only folder in my system with this CREATOR OWNER so that's why I'm asking here. Thanks

  5. I play in offline mode always. There have been occasions that I was forced to update. The only time I've updated was when a mod required the latest patch. Thanks for the tip on big screen I just did that for 4 and NV even though nv is unnecessary at this point
  6. Sanctuary for me is my main settlement. I look forward to finding Spectacle Island and Coastal Cottage for the intriguing reasons given above.
  7. Definitely use chems. I always 'saddle up' going on missions or exploring areas with Buffout, Psycho, Med-x and Mentats. I use to use jet with that as well in FO3/NV but for obvious reasons less so with FO4. I love BLTC with 3 and CAM with NV for the visual highs some of them have for the color saturations it gives so I look forward to a mod that will add these extras.
  8. Not funny more so incidental. I decided to play a little on Christmas day and traveled to Diamond city. I noticed there were Christmas trees and light decorations around the city and looked up the pipboy date and sure enough it was December 25th in game as well.
  9. You can also store them in the weapons craft workbench. When you craft a weapon it will use any mods you have stored.

  11. Ah yes thanks, he's a ghoul now. Found another in vault 81 but I didn't get him apparently you have to convince his wife to leave him which I wasn't able to do.
  12. I've found info on Doc Anderson and did find her in the parking lot but didn't meet requirements to attain her for my settlement. Hopefully I can find her again at the Diner as per wiki notes. Also read on wiki that there is Ron Staples. Other than those two who else is out there and how can I find them?

  16. Second option: Alienware M17x Graphic cards:nvidia 9400 g and nvidia 240m You can use both of these graphic cards at the same time which is equal to having a nvidia 635m installed

Hi I'm shopping for a laptop to play the following games: Oblivion Fallout 3 Fallout NV Dragon Age O Skyrim I am shopping used this is option 1: msi gt683 dxr gaming laptop Specs I7 2630qm quad core processor Nvidia gtx570m GPU 12 GB 4GB*3 Ram 1TB hard drive (2*500GB raid0) LED panel 15.6 1080p full HD(glare type) Will this have issues? I plan on modding it low end not like I did for my desktop. Much thanks for any help and opinions.

Yeah I hear ya, though it's my seventh play through and this time around I'm mostly playing rts and free styling a few quests here and there the guide being one of them, and as well as doing mods I haven't done before like World of Pain etc. I'm not overly concerned if this gets missed but just checking in if this is an option. Thanks.
  19. Hi, have a quest bug. I'm certain it's likely a mod conflict but can't figure out which one. I've gotten the Mireluk quest from Moira to put the observer unit in an egg hatch however when I go to the Anchorage Memorial there is only one level and the other levels are just gone, blank doors and I fall through resetting back to the entrance with no option to go back out to the wasteland. Sucks for me, I hope this won't be a recurring issue with other places. So my question is, can I setstage the quest to complete and still get the Survival Guru perk? I've seen 2 options setstage 00014e96 50 (this completes the quest) setstage 00014e96 54 (this completes the optional no harm to Mireluks which is needed for the final perk) Do I use the latter and all will be well continuing with the SG quest? Much thanks for any help.

  21. So I've had this before from time to time with FO3 and FONV but it only happened rarely. I've started again with a new FONV game maybe 80 mods nothing too complex with the big overhaul type mods but this sound issue is happening far more frequently. What is happening is when conversing with NPCs in dialogue their text speeds by unreadable and there are no voice files playing. If I quit the game and relaunch I can speak with the npc and can read and hear the dialogue as per normal. This is now happening quite frequently as I said and I'm curious if anyone knows the issue? My sound card is based off my motherboard and I've had some sound issues over the course of playing the 2 games the past few years. Will buying a average decent sound card fix this or is this the case of something else? Any suggestions will be appreciated.
