FNV has been out a year and a half, but I'm just responding to this thread, once I removed landscape and town textures I never crash anymore. It is what it is. My pc is pretty decent and I only run about 30 mods, which pales to what I had running for other games with nexus mods.

MacSuibne that is correct. When in Console Command click on Lydia, so in effect you would have to be in close range of her. When you click a person or object their refid will show in console then you can manipulate use commands.

Yes I had 1 to 3 crashes hourly with the HD Texture mod. I turned off towns and landscapes, kept misc and dungeons now I rarely crash. Never had issue with OB/FO3/FNV texture mods.

I use UFO as a companion mod, right now I have Lydia and The Huntress and neither will sleep if I ask them to. It is immersion breaking. Shame because I was spoiled with OB/FOV/FO3 companion mods that are exceptional but I believe it's the Skyrim vanilla game that inhibits the modders to create mods of previous games. That's the vibe of info I'm collecting here and there...

There is a mod that allows you to increase the amounts one can train per level, options from 10 to 50 times if that interests you. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=2814

So I got the quest to go to Darkshade for his journal and I believe through wiki that this quest is a random dungeon of several(?) I went there killed a few trolls but did not find a journal nor was I able to find a reference for this journal finding specific to Darkshade through a search. Anyone know if I didn't look at a particular spot or am I bugged? Thanks!

Has this been brought up in another thread? This game needs a decorator mod like the Assistant in OB and Feng Shui for FO3 FNV. Anyone heard if one is on the way? Thanks!

No you can keep that activated as that is a separate option to enable/disable.

Try downloading the zip file and then launch it from within NMM, install manually if you are familiar or comfortable with that. I always hit reset archive invalidation as well with each mod I install.

You can disable this in settings and unclick check for updates on start up. (in NMM)

Can you link the UNP mod you use?

I've tried a search on this but didn't find an answer. When I'm in tfc the movement is uncontrollably fast, meaning it is difficult for me to move around without leaving the game map entirely. Is there an ini fix to this or mod perhaps? Many thanks.

Alright for whatever reason it installed itself on my ssd drive where I have FO3 and New Vegas installed so it seems steam decided to install itself there without my consent because I certainly didn't put it there. It created it's own folder just under the New Vegas folder where I installed New Vegas on a separate hard drive. W.T.F.?

Thanks for the response but I'm saying there is no such folder under program files/steam/steam apps/common/skyrim. I've been around long enough to understand this. I've done a search for all skyrim folders and only get the executable on my desktop and the saves in my documents folder. So where did the other files go?

Oh I did look in my c/program files/steam/ etc nothing there. My saves are under documents no problem there, I go to add remove programs and it is there, but I ran a search to find steam folders and skyrim folders and nothing.

When installing Skyrim first time, Steam said cannot connect servers are busy. Outstanding, great start. Anyhow it's still downloading something that seems to be related to Skyrim so I've no idea. I never got the option to install in the directory that I want to install (which I normally do, OB, FO3, FONV, DAO) So when I run the setup.exe I get the launch menu of starting the game or uninstalling it. One I'm sort of miffed I never got the option of choosing the directory but I let it go and play a bit. Now I go to mods, and I can't find folders anywhere, only the launch.exe!?! So I'm I running this game online? Horrible, just a horrible start. I tried being cool with Steam but I just hate it. So how do I install this game onto my hd? Do I need to uninstall and reinstall? Why did this happen? Any answers will be appreciated.
