  1. @Fatalmasterpiece: Just because everyone plays the game, does not mean it is the exact same game. For every game, there are different versions (even international versions are quite different, especially in terms of the language packs and certain game executables versioning), mods, official/unofficial patches, standalone DLCs, GOTY editions, Collecter's Gold editions, etc. So, what works for you is just your own copy of the game on your own PC. Even your copy may fail if you try it on some other PC, maybe because of OS and environmental issues. Welcome to the world of Windows! :wallbash: @Malachi: It looks like the game DVD doesn't have all the installer files, or maybe some of the files are corrupted (scratched DVD can be "repaired" with clean water, toothpaste and soft frayed-fiber-free linen cloth). And if your OS is stable, except for this game, then it is most likely not an OS issue. Do not waste your time reinstalling the OS unless you have some other stability issues. Did you try reinstalling DirectX, the graphics card display drivers and audio drivers? See if your graphics card is supported for this game and install/run the game after disabling the antivirus and all other unnecessary background processes. To debug where and when the game is failing, run the game while monitoring it with a tool like SysInternals' ProcessMonitor. It will monitor the file/registry changes when the game is running, so you know what dependency is failing when the game errors out. Do a clean game install and uninstall, using an install-monitor application, such as Revo Uninstaller or Total Uninstaller. Also, give WhatChanged a shot. Give us more details about your system, we can try to help diagnose the problem.
  2. Wolfie, okay, okay, I will take your word for it.

Now if you prove that you are a true wolf, and get me 8 sheepskins, the quest award will be exciting (better than apple pie and cheese cookies)!

  3. You have a cute avatar!
  4. *Saunters in, raises a Jedurai greeting to the King Sheep, and vanishes*

*Cheesey stares in amazement, but all he can see now is a cute little basket containing butter cookies, cheese pizza and bourtbon*

Did you read my Ship in a Tree story? It is very sweet story (I wrote it like a fable). You might like it!

      Nadin

I have now. It was well-written, very fable-like. I must compliment you on your correct usage of the word "Enamored". :)

I thank you for your kind words. Writing lore-based stories takes a lot of effort (at least for me), since it involves prior research, authentic-feeling and contextual storylines, juxtapositioning of characters without displacement of lore-history, and the fear of being ridiculed by the fan community (who have been into that lore much longer than me).

Like I said, not easy. But, quite a lot of fun! I am enamored of lore... LOL..

  15. My graphic novella episode 2 will be up soon... till then, take a peek at part 1: http://www.tesnexus.com/imageshare/image.php?id=82920

I was working on the action climax sequence for the story, but I am facing some technical difficulties in executing the scene the exact way I envision it.

For now, I will elaborate on the interesting flashback aspects in episode 2 to build the suspense, and release it soon.

Can you tell me how to easily place an NPC in mid-air (at great height) on a chosen pose, even if there is no object (no havoc physics) on which he can be placed ?

I am thinking I would need to situate some tile/object in the CS, and place the NPC on it and erase it graphically later (or is there a way to add invisible objects?). I don't really want to add a faked NPC mask/layer over an original image.

  16. Hey visitors. Thanks for dropping by.

Grab yourself to some toffees and warm cocoa, and give thanks to Wolfie (WolfsAngelEyes)!

Have a great day, my friends! Yeah, I meant you too, my dear sheep!

  17. Wow, a crateful of tofees!! That's heavy lifting, even for a werewolf.

Being the nice guy that I am, let me distribute to my friends.

    Thanks wolfie! *Hugs*

  18. We need new distractions....
  19. Salutations from a Samurai!
  20. Hello! You have a sweet smile!
  21. I have played all the original Wolfenstein/Doom/DukeNukem/Hexen/Descent/Quake/Unreal, the first FPS games that defined their respective genre.

If you liked Wolf, try the free "Return to Castle Wolfenstein", a 3D FPS, which you can play online (after downloading nd installling its client), against other players.

  22. Cute and funny avatar!
  23. Oooo... interesting stuff here...

    *Beats a hasty retreat*
