  1. $1500 is only overkill if you personnally think its overkill. To the OP Buy the best you can get for the budget you allow yourself.
  2. You'll think your getting a garden shed when it gets delivered, the box is huge. I thoroughly enjoyed doing a build with this case, brilliant cable management, large cooling fans cleverly placed and so much space, enjoy.
  3. Thats a very good point, my old Antec (same case as above) is languishing in the loft as I had to have the hard drive bays sticking half an in inch out of the front of the case so that I could get a 5970 in there. Bought one of these instead, can't fault it but hell, its big. http://www.corsair.com/cases/obsidian-series/obsidian-series-700d.html As for Skyim, bring it on, ordered one of these, should arrive in the morning, can't wait to get my paws on it. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-257-SP&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1752
  4. No, I had to tone the lighting down a bit, think it was the way that they implimented HDR. Thoroughly enjoyed DKS though and as Jim said, they proved that gamebryo could be put to good use when implemented correc - - - Ooh shiney
  5. I am a music lover, but not of the mainstream so called pop music etc, as for TV my housemates will vegitate their heads in front of the telly for hours watching god knows what twaddle, can't understand what they see in the rubbish they watch. I live 5 mins from the coast and 20 mins from the North York Moors so if I'm not on my PC I'm up the moors or down the beach with the dogs.
  6. Nothings wrong with it, Jim and I both rate it highly, and as for the Village People, sorry I mean Power Rangers inference, they were a hoot. Ooh, shiney.
  7. Absolutely agree, note to Beth, a soundtrack CD please.
  8. Oddly enough, I'm really looking forward to the soundtrack for Skyrim, dust off your speakers and wind up the volume.
  9. Oh god those guys, more like The Village People than The Power Rangers, I really was waiting for a dance routine when I came out of that crypt. The EULA

Pretty much agree with all of that Crimsonedge. What doesn't appear to have yet dawned on the bright sparks that come up with these measures is that the way things are going, the damn pirates are having an easier time of things than the legitimate purchasers of the games. These companies are crapping on the people who support them by handing over their hard earned cash. Don't they realise (or don't they care) that they're alienating their customers left right and centre ? What a damn silly impasse to be at. I think another of the biggest problems is that they don't have to face their customers face to face. "Email of complaint ? click, deleted". "Upset and angry customer in your face demanding a refund ?" Can't delete that.
  11. What gives us the right to piddle on other peoples strawberries, besides, it wouldn't stop people wanting it. I'm pretty certain that it would never happen, but I still want it to. Philosophical mode on: If wishes were horses then everybody could ride, but that doesn't stop people wishing. Philosophical mode off.
  12. You asked "why do people keep requesting etc" My answer remains the same. As for being realistic about it I know as well as you do that Bethesda remaking Morrowind is 99.9999% certain to never happen, but that wasn't what you asked was it ?

    The EULA

Has anybody ever bought a game (or any software) and been asked to review and agree to the EULA before you've handed over your cash ? We all know the answer to that one. So, when I buy a game and have handed over my cash and the sellers and developers and publishers of said game have accepted my payment, they have agreed to abide by the rules of my "PURCHASERS AGREEMENT". That agreement means that I will abide by the consumer LAWS of my country and so will they. Enough of this making up of in house rules and saying you will obey, its time the consumer had some power back in their pockets. And as for ticking the "agreement" box on the game instal, bullsfizzledipshwicks, I ticked it so I could play the game, not because I agree to your inhouse made up nonsense thats most likely illegal in more countries than I can remember the names of.
  14. Short answer ? Some people would like it. Long answer ? The depth and involvement of Morrowind somewhat blows most new releases away. Morrowind with the latest graphic capabilities would blow most new releases clean out of the water. Also, if people keep asking for it, maybe theres something in it, now if Bethesda announced that they were releasing a totally reworked Morrowind, I know for a fact that I'd buy it, and I think a lot of the Nexus would be stood in the queue with me.
  15. What Jim said ^^^^ I'm frequently amazed at the fact that some folk are incensed by the things that others do with their games. Or is it that they pretend to be incensed ???
  16. Got to a section of the game last night where all of a sudden, those arm gestures got faster, think it was done to show that the characters were vexed about something, but it looked like an old movie speeded up. Story line is getting better the further in I get though. Edited to add: Just completed the main quest tonight, not going to let any spoilers out just now, but lets see if you or Ginny think the same as me when you finish it. Though the good news is that you can play on after the main quest completes.

    Race

Quite ironic really, and rather saddening. The differences between us all are given many diffrerent names, creed, colour, ethnicity, race, region of origin etc etc and people were / are persecuted every single day because of those differences. Yet we call ourselves "The Human Race".
  18. Don't worry, for all my dislikes so far the one thing I will say is that it seems pretty stable, no crashes or freezes so far and I've clocked up quite a few hours. Bet you get a giggle out of the goldfish mouth animations. Also, seeing as the scenery is nice, if you want to take screenshots without your charactor in them, hit "Enter" to open the console and type "graph.drawhero 0" (without the quotes) and hit enter again. Your charactor is still there but invisible, I tried this for a first person view while playing but your charactor is still a few feet in front of your viewpoint so it kinda doesn't work very well, but ok for screennies. To make your charactor visible again type "graph.drawhero 1" By the way, the Anistropy setting in the in game graphics settings is useless, set it to zero and set your anistropic filtering level in your graphics card settings. Also, set the ingame AA to on as whatever you set your AA to in your graphics card setting doesn't make any difference in game, for ATI ccc anyway.
  19. Apparently, our governments aren't ready for a law such as this, so its going on the shelf. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-12677534
  20. Why do people feel the need to bang on about this ? If graphics aren't important to you then thats great for you, but not everybody thinks the same way and some folks like good graphics and hey, why not ? Everybody is different and all have their own preferences. Personally I like good graphics, but if a game draws me in and is enjoyable to me then having good graphics is the icing on the cake.
  21. Was gonna wait and buy it when it was cheaper but I got bored and paid Game.co.uk a visit. The rundown so far: The storyline - aint too good but it aint too shabby, nothing we haven't seen before type thing. Graphics - pretty good but theres a but, the game didn't like my 5970 quadfire, didn't get better than 60 fps and hit as low as 28 fps, I took a 5970 out of my rig and It's now cruising at a steady 80 fps all settings maxed so I can't quite work that one out as just one 5970 still means crossfire, weird. Voice acting - AAAARRRGGHH Charactor & NPC animations - good grief, someone wants a slap, some of the fighting moves are ok but general movements leave much to be desired, wooden arms and legs, lousy character stance and when NPC's speak to your charactor the lipsync is like watching a goldfish blub blub blub away in a bowl, even in between sentences an NPC's lips keep blub blubing away, awful. Charactor control - clunky at best and fighting is a button mash, bows and spells have auto targeting which to me takes away the fun of trying to hit something, turn the auto targeting off and the yukky camera makes hitting anything a PITA, so I'm sticking with my sword. Camera control - as above, yuk. Couple all this with the ineptness of the publishers and the oh so many long delays for the actual release of this game and I'm gonna give it 4 out of 10 A couple of screens for you. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y104/M4rt/Odds/TwoWorlds2_DX10_2011_03_06_02_28_06_980.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y104/M4rt/Odds/TwoWorlds2_DX10_2011_03_06_02_47_46_805.jpg
  22. TBH I'm not to concerned about cookies, you can zap em easy enough, what I think the Europrats should be doing is passing a law that permits the public flogging, birching, tar & feathering and vehicular neck stretching of hackers, scammers and malware & virus writers. Just spent a couple of hours getting rid of a nasty piece of malware and now I'm paranoid, did I really get rid of it ? Or is it hiding somewhere, waiting to get me. I'm off to have a stomp round the garden and swear a bit.
  23. That made me chuckle Jim, you've been playing to much Dragon Knight Saga :teehee: Yup, I'm also looking forwards to The Witcher 2 and those screens look excellent.
  24. Agree with your sentiments LHammonds, especially the one below as Euro MP's seem to be really effective at creating this effect. if the law is made to be all-encompassing (meaning everyone has to make changes regardless of how they are being used), then yes, this will just be aggravation with no actual benefit as to the real reason why the law was passed. But it would seem from this statement that it will be all encompassing: From 25 May, European laws dictate that "explicit consent" must be gathered from web users who are being tracked via text files called "cookies". Which will probably mean a lot of this :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: for web site owners.
  25. Don't know if you know already but it appears that those Euro Dudes are going to impose some new laws on web site owners regarding cookies. Apparently, this could cause log in problems and mean more pop ups. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-12668552
