You don't even need to rescue Preston and crew for Codsworth to ask to join you. All I used to do is talk to Codsworth, then go to Concord. Just get the mapmarker then go back to Sanctuary and talk to Codsworth again. Not sure if he asks to join you if you haven't spoken to him at all before going to Concord. These days I skip both him and Concord and do my own thing.

How to prevent ghould from respawning at Croup Manor?
StarMystyk replied to Stargazer09's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
That's what I do with persistant corpses at settlements. Disable and markfordelete. They're then permanently gone. -
Skyrim wasn't too bad for me. Oblivion, though, that was CTD's a lot of the time, not to mention stuttering and lag. For me, that was pretty unstable. Even using utilities to counter it (Streamline, for example) it was still unpredictable. Fallout 3 wasn't much better. New Vegas wasn't too bad. Once I got a (then) better card it was fine. Fallout 4, though, that has been absolutely stable for me. Like the second poster, the only time it CTD'ed was as a patch was coming in (I've since disabled Steam's background downloads). I don't get a constant 60fps but that's normal for my card. In Skyrim it's 60fps most of the time, except when it's dark and raining in Solitude then it drops to 40-50ish. But, I hardly notice unless I've got the fps counter onscreen. In FO4 I also suffer from long loading times when going from an interior to exterior, most especially in the middle of the city. I use ENBoost and that has helped somewhat. Where I used to sit on a loading screen for up to 5 minutes now it's only up to a minute. Not as fast as the pre-patched game but good enough for now, IMO. If I suspect an issue with any mods I'll load them all up in FO4Edit and see what's going on, but my load order is just as stable as the game itself. I'm still a serial F5er, though. That's Oblivion's fault, lol. With mods I have 67 (those with esps or esms) and a handful of texture replacers. Where possible I always grab 1K versions. I have a 2K card but if I'm using multiple replacers at that size my card would probably choke. I do need another and will get one when the price of the one I want (GTX 960) comes down  I have a newer PC than the one I had for Skyrim, in the early days, and Oblivion. I didn't build it for any game inparticular, just went with what I could afford at the time. My only regret is I wish I had got a better card. I only got it because someone I knew had one and I didn't know what was good and what wasn't. I know better now  The R7 260X is a piece of crap, imo.

I've been having the same problem for a while, now. I thought it was just me. I can completely remove my avatar, and the filler image shows just fine, everywhere. But, as soon as I pop a picture in it reverts to my old one, but only on mod comment pages.

You don't even need a mod for that. There's a console command for it - set RailroadClothingArmorModAvailable to 1 That's how I do it if I never join the Railroad :)

Companion Overhaul (I wish I knew how to do this)
StarMystyk replied to WHITELION1284's topic in Fallout 4's Mod Ideas
I don't know if you've got signatures visible but I did my own mod to shut them up regarding looting junk. There's only so many times I could stand, "Hoarding now, are we?" "Why do you bother with that junk?" and pretty much everything Deacon said (which made me hate him). There is another version out there, made last year, but I only just found it. It mutes them differently. Thankfully. Otherwise I'd have not uploaded mine. I painstakingly removed all junk items from a form list. The other mod looks like it replaces all the junk comment audio files with silent ones. I guess it depends what you prefer - an esp for the load order or not :) I've not had a follower push me out of cover before but, I did have Nick push me from a chair I was sitting in. Why did he do that? So he could sit there  Like they're not lazy enough as it is. -
Companion Overhaul (I wish I knew how to do this)
StarMystyk replied to WHITELION1284's topic in Fallout 4's Mod Ideas
I picked up a command at some stage, that allows you to have your personal space. I activate it via a bat file, as it needs to be done whenever I load my game, it won't stick with the save. That command is set iFollower_dist_Near to 1.5 I don't wear power armor much and was tired of Danse almost standing on my head when I wasn't moving, or running into the back of me when I stopped. That line prevents both. He stays back. I've never had issues with followers not moving out of my way, start to walk and they will move with you, away from you. But there's a mod that makes them move out of the way further and quicker and, sometimes it looks as if they bounce off of you in their hurry to get out of the way, lol. Your 3rd point, in theory it sounds easy to implement, just add some additional conditions to their Wait Package, but I'm not sure how much info we can edit/see with those in FO4Edit. (If only the CK was here, we're all hanging out for that...:) ) -
How long did you last before your first death?
StarMystyk replied to jpm22112's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
My newest guy is level 20, dabbling in a bit of each faction, so no particular skillset in mind. Just a bit of everything, and not good at anything. My first and only death was self-inflicted, due to not paying attention to where I was. I'm exploring the Fallen Skybridge, then managed to get onto the balcony of Mass Medical (I think that's its name. Where a couple of Gunners usually are), without killing myself. As I like to walk on top of railings, walk on railroad tracks, and splash in puddles, I'm walking along the edge of the building. I see a ledge below me and drop down onto it fairly easily. Then realise I'm stuck. It's a good 4 storeys to the ground. Sure, I could TGM, TCL or fast travel elsewhere but no, that's cheating, and I wasn't cheating today :P Instead I popped some pills (Buffout, Med-X, and some beer). I'm sure it all helped in previous games. This one, nope. Despite having a good set of armor with good DR and other resistances, it didn't help when I hit the ground. The only thing that would've prevented me from dying would have been my power armor that I left on display at the Drive-In. Oops. http://s26.postimg.org/jdv3xk31x/2016_02_25_00007.jpg -
Trying to search for something like that is impossible, lol. I don't really know what to input to come up with anything that resembles what I'm after. Basically I'm wondering if there's a mod, or one could be made, that stops the player from making idiotic faces when I'm trying to edit/sculpt their face? It's hard to pick the right eyebrows, for example, if they're screwing up their face all the time, not to mention the smirking when I'm trying to edit their mouth. Has anything like that been done? If not, does anyone know what it would involve to do it? I could always try and do it myself :)

I get that occasionally. Not that extreme, though. I've an R7 260X. It doesn't bother me much as it doesn't happen very often. When it starts happening the game's been running all day. So I quit for a little while and play again later, and try to not play for really long periods of time. (Google image search pointed me to this thread :) ).

Nice! After looking at some others (prior to your upload) there wasn't really anything that I liked. Until now :) Thanks for releasing it :)

Share Funny Moments, friendly fire incidents ect.
StarMystyk replied to robhartman9's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Trudging through the Glowing Sea with Strong was so funny. He's good with whatever I give him. I use a flamer and he usually uses a mini gun. This time he was using a missile launcher...against flying critters (blood bugs, bloat fly's). It was hilarious! He missed them all. I just got them with my flamer, no big deal. I didn't have to worry about deathclaws or radscorpions, though. By the time I spotted them they were dead. I didn't care that he went through missiles rapidly as I had oodles, anyway. -
I use that, that's awesome and funny :) http://s26.postimg.org/z0i1ueuet/2016_01_11_00003.jpg Yes, I found that one but, at the time, it was only T-45, so I just took the core and left. Oddly I haven't found any T-51 in this playthrough, whereas the last game it popped up a few times. But, that's okay I don't like that one, either :D At this stage, for me, it's X-01 or it's nothing. I'll go have a look for some mods that change the X-01. I haven't looked for any PA mods, really. The only one I did get was Hotter Flames. I like that one. Though I think it's only for T-60. I didn't try it on the X-01 from my last game, so could be wrong.

I found a full set just sitting on the side of the road, well, next to one of those crate things they come in. I'd come from the South Boston military checkpoint (the one with that awful loud voice that I can't find where to turn off), straight ahead from that is the junkyard with the muties, then I headed left along that road. Somewhere along that road was a full set of X-01 Mk II. As I was already wearing some PA I just took the pieces to paint up later. It was my first time ever finding X-01. What level do they start appearing? That game was mid level 30's when I came across it. I doubt I'd wear it, as I think it looks ugly. I preferred the look of the Enclave PA's in Fallout 3. I'm almost level 40 in my newer game and have yet to find any. Mostly just finding T-45 (I wear T-60). I've deliberately avoided going to the places I know there are power armor, if that makes any difference.

I'd just crawled out of the memory lounger, trying to get my bearings, thinking of everything that just happened, reliving that moment in the vault. A mess, pretty much (I'd assume my character wouldn't be "all there" straight away). Amari has a quick chat to help. Immediately afterwards Danse says, "This may sound like a strange question..." And I just groan and say, "What?! Now?! Can't you see I'm really not in the mood for a D&M." Unfortunately I couldn't sidestep or escape as he was right next to my character and the screen just sucked me over that direction...with Amari right there as well. Awkward, lol. I could've been a cow and just walked away but I didn't. Another time I was walking from A to B with Piper, in the rain. Nothing going on, no incidents, no combat. An ordinary walk. Next thing, "Piper disliked that." Huh? Then a second time. I looked around, nothing. Nothing at all to trigger that. What the hell? I even reloaded my last quicksave, which was like 2 minutes prior and it happened again. Maybe Piper doesn't like walking in the rain? My current character I'm playing a bit different. The companion who best suits her style is Strong, so I'm having a lot of fun with him. I don't need to be too much of a do-gooder or watch what I say. Then I switch to Danse, and everything he says grates on my nerves. My favourite weapon is a fully modded flamer. If I hold the button down 2 seconds too long I get reprimanded for wasting ammo. If I shoot at a feral he hasn't seen yet I get reprimanded yet again because I "might hit something I care about." I got so annoyed in the end that I set him on fire. No complaints, unfortunately. Then there's the junk collecting. Strong has some funny lines, and really doesn't care what I loot (as long as it's not stolen). Most humanoids, though, have a loud opinion about it. So, when they are giving me that unwanted opinion I hoover up the remaining junk items in my reach just to spite them

Reasons why you reloaded a save?
StarMystyk replied to GringoLoco91's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Had an oddity while fighting a sentry bot not far from Hangman's Alley. Instead of hitting Q for VATS I somehow selected my companion (Danse) who was right next to it. Somewhere in all that I managed to dismiss him, I tabbed out...as you don't, lol, then got the notification that he hated that. I thought WTF? and just reloaded my last quicksave. Walked several steps down the road and encountered that same Sentry Bot. That second time I paid a bit more attention to where we all were and what buttons I was pressing :) -
It's loading for me just now, pretty much immediately. Edit: Hmmm. Maybe that was just a one-off. It's not working now.

I've got the same issue with mod pages timing out, not loading most of the time. But, I'm on ordinary wireless. It's not school holidays here, it's not a peak time, so I don't know. It's only this site, though. I can get to, and around, the forums just fine. I thought it may've been my browser cache (It was almost at the allocated limit) but even after clearing that and cookies, clearing out temp files and running MBAM scans, the problem persists. It's only been happening this week for me. Often putting the URL into Down For Everyone it comes back and says it's just me. Maybe it's my ISP, I don't know. Edit: After another round of Googling I found a different site that, again, told me it's just me, lol. But, it also had some troubleshooting instructions that worked. Surprisingly. But, I would've tried anything at this point, lol. Basically, it said to flush the DNS cache in a command prompt. So, I'm all good, now  Edit 2: Hmmm. Works for a little while, then goes back to not loading again.

Could I get some help?
StarMystyk replied to manintights2's topic in State of Decay's State of Decay
It's one of Phacops' All his mods are hosted elsewhere, now. But, his threads are all on the UL forums. He hangs out there more than anywhere else. Here's the link to the mod thread for the mod you're looking for. Not sure if it's working with YOSE just yet. You might want to read the last couple of pages to see where it's at. -
No, children, I can't turn you invisible!
StarMystyk replied to enderes's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
I've been hunting around for a mod, or anything really, that does the same thing. It's my #1 annoyance at the moment, lol. Most of my characters are Mages and, for a change I'd like to walk through Riverwood in peace, without being force-greeted by Frodnar or whatever that boy's name is. The only thing I do now is disable him while I'm there, then re-enable him when I'm leaving. There's the No Force Greet mod but that doesn't cover much, certainly not kids. I also poked around a bit in the CS but having never really used it before (my old PC used to almost choke trying to open it, let alone do anything, lol) I didn't know what I was looking for. I much prefer using TES5Edit, I know what I'm doing in there. I couldn't see where to edit that, though. -
A Matter of Time has an option in it to choose real time instead of game time. I haven't used that part of it myself so don't know how detailed it is.

Namora, Imperial. She originally had blue skin but eventually she looked better with normal colour skin, so I left it. She's a mash of two characters. I first created her from random in the chargen, then using Skyrim Face Transfer (I think it's called) I copied from my old Lara Croft save (I'd done my own rendition). So I ended up with this one. I'm still not happy with her nose, at certain angles she looks like a long-time cocaine user, lol. http://s26.postimg.org/4l0flmi2d/namora.jpg Currently level 30 and has barely started the MQ (still need to talk to the Jarl of Whiterun...eventually, or never). She doesn't really have a backstory. She started in the Abandoned Prison and, rather than choose a background, I opted to just break out of the cell. I'd sort of had a bit of an outline that she (with her blue skin and odd choice of clothing - Zip Suit) wasn't from this planet. An alien of sorts. But, after I changed her skintone she ended up like many of my past characters, with no story, no anything, really. One day I'll do it properly, once I have a definite load order. I'm always trying out a new mod or seven  Edit: That looks weird, I'll re-upload the image. Should be better now.
