  1. If you are using an out dated mod that edits map.swf it can cause that, I was using Map HUD Enhanced and after 1.8 patch (maybe before) the player marker and custom marker no longer shows up. "tam" stands for toggle actor movement (not entirely sure what it does), entering "help tam 0" in console will show it just page up all the way to the top (assuming this is the first console command entered).
  2. For a 2gb card a 6970 or maybe a 6950, for 3gb a 7950 or 7970. Seeing that you have a 6670 I would be more inclined to go with a 7970 if you can afford it. Also the 89XX series have been announced to be out around February.
  3. Definitely a video card, depending on what you want to achieve performance wise. Any decent 2gb (ATI) card should be able to run Skyrim on Ultra, but if you want all the bells and whistles with high- res. textures and tons of mods you may want to look for a 3gb (ATI) card, not only for the extra vram but better GPU as well.
  4. Some have said that just downloading the Creation Kit can sometimes fix the WETriggerScript error, if not just search the forums for that there's a ton of threads on it. Steam gave you the moded version because you made a backup (in Steam) of your modded game.
  5. Dawnguard relies on Update.esm along with Skyrim.esm I believe Hearthfire is dependant on Skyrim.esm alone.
  6. Most combat mage NPC usually have a dagger for a secondary weapon in case they run low on magic or you get too close AFAIK. The mod Amazing Follower Tweeks allow you to teach followers spells for use, here's a link: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/15524

    Eyes

You will have to rename the textures and place those in Textures\Actor\character\eyes folder the names of the wood elf eyes are: eyewoodelf.dds eyewoodelfdeepviolet.dds eyewoodelflightbrown.dds that are obviously woodelf eye textures, they could possibly use other eyes also, the ones that are not obviously race named are: eyeamber.dds eyeblind.dds eyeblue.dds eyebluebloodshot.dds eyebrown.dds eyebrownbloodshot.dds eyegreen.dds eyegrey.dds eyehazel.dds eyehazelbrown.dds eyelightgrey.dds eyesdarkblue.dds eyesiceblue.dds eyeyellow.dds The .dds is the texture file name and should not be included in the rename.
  8. As for the CPU tweeks, I use them on a 6 core CPU and can tell no difference but here's a link to a guide for it: http://itcprosolutions.com/skyrimguides/tweak_guide.htm As for the memory tweeks you want, they are impossible because Skyrim is a 32 bit exe and at absolute max can use 4gb of virtual mem. this includes OS and page file. Around the 1.4 patch the 4gb LAA was added by default as long as you have enough installed memory so no need to mess with it as it's already at max of what can be done. However this may help to free up some memory possibly http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/27959 Lastly the enb's look amazing but can have a hefty impact on fps, I have found with a little playing around with the Imaginator tool can produce almost as good of results with very little if any fps hit, here's a link:http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13049 Enjoy.
  9. You should check the hidden txt files in Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Skyrim, there are 3 files SteamModList.txt, plugins.txt, and DLCList.txt (I believe it's in plugins.txt) for a double listing of Skyrim.esm and if it's double listed manually remove the duplicate. This is known to cause this and can sometimes happen with an update.
  10. Idk if it will correct this but you should definitely try the Unofficial Skyrim Patch, here's a link: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19 And if you have Dawnguard or Hearthfire you should try those Unofficial Patches.
  11. 1.8.151.0 is the ver. I have with Steam in online atm, if you have 1.8.151.7 then you must have the beta patch and AFAIK SKSE does not usually have a ver. ready until a few days after the patch gets released to all.
  12. The red screen is part of one of the fixes for Ugrids, I don't remember how now but there's a fix somewhere in the forums, you will have to search or try one of those dreaded alternatives. Sorry
  13. In your SkyrimPrefs.ini in your My documents\My Games\Skyrim folder under [Display] you will need to make sure you have this: bShadowsOnGrass=1
  14. I don't think that will work if your just waiting the time away, because if you wait 30 days with a different time scale it's still 30 in game days (your doing this probably for the respawn times being 30 days). Another thing is to look into Wrye Bash even if you don't want to use it to install your mods (it's a lot easier when your Skyrim folder is NOT in Program Files folder), you can use the Bashed Patch and when you build the patch it will allow you to apply tweeks such as faster arrows, more summoned creatures max, etc. etc., but the one that will be a godsend to you for this is to set the interior and exterior respawn times to drastically lower amounts all with one .esp. So instead of having to wait 30 in game days, just the amount you have set for your respawn times. Edit: There's also a mod for waiting long periods of time without having to do it one day at the time, I can't think of the name, but I saw it today on Skyrim Nexus.
  15. Idk if this will be what your looking for, but probably an improvement: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/28170/
  16. That will work, but it's a lot easier to just delete or move the Unofficial .bsa, .bsl, and .esp files (the Unofficial patch for Skyrim patched to 1.8 anyways, Idk if the UOP's for earlier versions have loose files or not.) BEFORE you do though make sure to deactivate the .esp or you may have to manually fix the .txt files in C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Skyrim that the game relies on for sorting and managing mods.
  17. You do know that if the download with manager button doesn't work properly (for whatever reason), that you can still download the mods manually and place them in the folder you set up for that upon installing NMM, then have NMM install it that way, right? The 3 hr wait is to endorse, not to download...
  18. Look through the top 100 categories, there's really good mods there and it's not any specific category except for being the most endorsed mods on the Nexus.
  19. It will work fine AFAIK, but don't deactivate it just activate it and run Wrye Bash like it was normal. Idk why it's highlighted red, the only other thing I've seen do that was a plugin of COBL (for Oblivion) that should be merged into the Bashed Patch and ran specifically that way.
  20. You can use console commands to add items, equip items, and see all items in their inventory. For console commands, how to use them and id's go to UESP Wiki Skyrim page (towards the bottom there will be a link for the console page). However I do not believe this will help you with your problem (it also can, I'm not absolutely sure), I have tried to remove items (armor from followers) before, it will allow you remove the items and add new ones to their inventories, but the old ones (that you've removed) will still be displayed. Unless you are willing to use either an NPC editor or the CK, bottom line is it takes an esp. file to get the appropriate result AFAIK.
  21. Go to Steam Library, in the game column on the left find The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, right- click it go to properties, click it and go to the Local Files tab, and it should be the bottom button.
  22. Idk for sure, but it could be in update.bsa
  23. It has been that way since before I joined as far as I can remember anyways. It was not done to rob anyone of anything, merely to free up server resources AFAIK. You have to keep in mind that you don't have to pay anything to use any of the Nexus sites. I can't imagine the costs of keeping all the sites and forums up and running as good as they are, especially given the mind blowing amount of traffic they receive. AFAIK the only things the premium members receive for their support are the complete download history, their own supporters image share, and the ability to not have to see adds on pages.
  24. If your not already using it Game Booster can help tremendously, I know there's (or was) a free version and a paid for premium version (used to be about $20). Both versions will stop most nonessential services and background stuff from running with just a click of a button. Idk if the free version has this or if it was just the premium, but I believe it would also allow you to use a thumb drive to boost your available ram for playing games. I used it a few years back on an older single core PC and it helped. Sorry I don't have a link, just google it or IObit. EDIT: 512mb of vram may not be spectacular but I think that's what the Xbox360 has to work with, so it should be just good enough.
  25. Most likely Skyrim is having to use a lot of page file just to run. Having only 2gb of ram, your OS is probably using 1gb- 1.5gb of ram alone leaving very little to work with. And just guessing I would think a few of those mods aren't helping that at all.
