Modding generally comes about because you want to add something to your playthough, so you should start small figure out how to manipulate something simple in the game. Don't start off with a big grand mod (like sword and shield, thats where I started too) because somethings are very hard to add into the game. Try manipulating factors that are already inside of the game, like changing the stats of the 10mm pistol for example or the color of the pipboy light and then grow from that point. Also there is a shield mod here on the nexus, but it has been abandoned and restarted numerous times (I think its been defunct for a year too now). Shields are what I wanted to add, because it just makes sense and I noticed there is a shield slot for the player still (but its unused except by clothing mods). However not being able to use assets from previous games puts a hamper on shield use because you'd have to make entirely new animations for everything I think, and manipulating the skeleton of the player is neigh impossible. Not saying your idea is stupid or not worthwhile, your just giving yourself a huge gap to cross. Start small but always hold that dream of shields in the wasteland as your eventual goal.

I think there is a settler faction? I'm not sure if thats for the randos walking around the world or for your settlers however.

Boston FPS Fix only really works if you add any mods that alter the worldspace of the game, otherwise it actually doesn't do anything (at least in my case). Its one of those mods thats necessary only in special circumstances I think, which is funny since I always considered it an essential mod but like you upon removing i found that my game ran way better.

The rad storms are in the base game. So go take it up with Bethesda.

While the above is true, there are still rad storms within fallout so in small patches there should be pretty heavy doses of it. Has the OP checked out Gas Masks of the Wasteland yet? There is also Deadly Radstorms, PIRAD and my personal favorite the Power of Atom. Should make your radiation much deadlier.

Its my personal theory that the main player is actually a Gen 4 synth created by father to enact his vengeance on the wasteland. The whole beginning part are really just implanted memories, both of Shauns parents are in fact dead (killed by Kellog) and he created you to bring down the institute (thus making the conversation on the rooftop make more sense). Why else can the main player just own a courser, something that everyone in the commonwealth fears yet you can take one down in mere minutes (despite the fact it just took out a whole platoon of gunners). However allot of that theory is really just a way to patch up the loads upon loads of plot holes and stupidities of the main story.

Wish I knew how I could help, but this seems like a problem entirely on bethesdas end. Which sadly means its never going to get fixed, what may have happened is that it tried to update your game (if it was not already updated) and found something it did not like and then tried to fix it while still trying to update it. I do not think it was anything you did on your end, its like that 0.01% chance that this error would happen and luckily you scored big. Also I'm really trying not to laugh at you as I type this, but come on really CC again lol?

Have you enabled mods via your ini files? If not type into google "how to enable mods for fallout 4."

You might get more help on the discord server, but AAF is a very complex mod and your best bet of understanding how it functions is check out the discord and read the documentation files on the mods main page. Also that "+1" comment was a very lazy and uneducated way of saying that they agree with you.

The only one I really know about is SKK50s Fallout 4-76 mod. Gives you the option of removing all human npcs or replacing them with synths/ferals, it also unlocks all the locations.

Its not just against etiquette, your facing a potential ban from the nexus for uploading an authors mod. So your going to need to try your best to get in touch with the author of the mod, or at the least (if you could not find the author) put up on your mod page how you modified anothers mod and a link to that mods page and how you will take the mod down if asked by the original author. I wish you luck in anycase.

Well first off, why would you donate money to a mod you have not got working properly? Second off this is not the Atomic Lust mod page where you should have been posting issues (how would the mod author know you had an issue, if they never check the forums), if you look on the mod page there are ways you can troubleshoot. This page is a Troubleshooting guide, and this page is a link to their discord where you can ask questions of the developers directly. How did I find these links? Well if you read the mod page you would have noticed these links under the "Troubleshoot/Questions" section. Hopefully this helps you in your fallout pron.

As far as I know the only way to do this is to add the items to a leveled list either through F04edit or the Creation Kit. This is a tutorial by MikeMoore for use with F04Edit,

In that case it may just be at the wrong point in your load order or its corrupted. I have gotten that mod to work quite well in the past.

I think true storms manipulates this glitch to make it looks like its windy, or atleast when you have a storm mod and you look up when its storming its not so noticeable. Sorry I have no idea what would be causing this, I just have snarky comments I guess.

Hey no problem, glad I was able to help. As a side note note with AFT you can have your companions build settlements, its under Tools I think when you bring up the menu. Sanctuary is free but the other ones are 2000 caps I think. AFT is really useful.

No problem, at least I found my next companion mod if I start playing F04 again lol. Also if a NPC is not hostile he can be made into a companion with AFT, so its a matter of maybe turning off AI (TAI I think in the command console) and going up to a hatchling maybe? Sorry just thought of this.

Only another companion. I think there is Synth, Ghoul and Dog.
