  1. It's always easier to view the pool, four corners and all when you're standing outside of it than when you're in it and see only half. Nevertheless, idealism in any government is unrealistic, everyone has flaws, human flaws. If a legislator has power to control finances then they are in all probability going to be pursued by money to prop up said money's interest. Having said this, laws etc. will be passed to favour them at the expense of the man in the street so then they are running the show ... the elites and not the citizen.
  2. @ Aurielius ... so what are you saying that America doesn't belong to the Americans but to the elite ?
  3. Forgive me if I'm wrong but doesn't Harbinge say that this movement bypasses all those fatcats ?
  4. I've tried pm'ing flokii but the message never went through, I will try again.
  5. I've looked but cannot seem to find a mod whereby you can assign a bed for your follower. So I've a request, how about creating a mod with added dialogue to UFO whereby you can assign a specific bed for your follower like the mod "My home is your home". In this mod you would be able to; 1) Assign a specific bed to a specific follower. 2) Share a bed with your a marriage partner or follower of your choice. 3) Be able to change bed ownership around at will. Thanks for the consideration.

  7. Not everyone has this negative outlook on life ... because we fill it with things called - relationships, friends, family, some fill it with sport, hobbies, religion, and yes, even work is sometimes a pleasure. Your outlook on life, your perspective play a large role in your "daily grind". Perhaps you need to get out more and also start to appreciate the small things that life has to offer.
  8. Well Kvn after trying to make sense of what you're saying, I've reached the following conclusion; Justice is far preferable than revenge ... take for instance the following scenario. Two men were found to be guilty of rape and then murdering the victim, an enraged mob found their whereabouts and hauled them into the street and their clothes were removed. The first man was beaten to a pulp and his genitals are sawn off with a blunt instrument. The second man was then also beaten and was about to be emasculated at which point the police arrived and rescued him just in time. At first I began to clap my hands when I heard this - as it is a true story - "Yay the bastards got there just reward, what the hell do they think we are ? That will teach them a lesson, I hope they catch more of them and treat them the same". All my friends began jumping and saying the same thing ... and most people would feel this way as well because the so-called justice system sometimes gives criminals a slap on the wrist and let's them go. Because all the criminal needs is a good lawyer to sow "reasonable doubt" in many cases and away you go. However, if people are free to take matters into their own hands and mete out their brand of justice/revenge then civil society would crumble into ruin. As much as I hate to say it, whether it be flawed or not, in the interests of maintaining order in society, WE HAVE TO submit to the legal justice system. What if you're falsely accused by a neighbour for something you didn't do or perhaps you drove into her postbox or your dog messed on her lawn and you had an argument and now she wanted revenge ... in the mob scenario you could be falsely accused of a multitude of heinous crimes which could result in your death. Would anyone want to live in a society like that if that was legal ? Obviously not. So I choose justice, legal court authorised justice, flawed or not, because the revenge of the offended will always carry an emotional, irrational sense of hurt and mete out an emotional justice and who knows what "penalty" that will carry.
  9. Both words mean pretty much the same thing. Except that revenge has an undertone of being more aggressive in it's approach in making right the wrong. In Afrikaans for instance there is the phrase, "Hy was dors vir wraak" ... "He was thirsty for revenge". This phrase carries a heavy undertone of determination to extract vengeance and make the transgressor pay. Justice on the other hand is more legal in it's approach and dispenses with the vulgarity that the word revenge carries. Even though the outcome of both might be the same.
  10. I know you state that you only use CBBE mods but the possibility exists that you are using a UNP clothing or armour mod. This problem you have is a mesh problem. Some modders release their armours exclusively for one body type, while others do it for more. If you're using a CBBE clothing/armour mod then I'm at a loss as to why this happens.
  11. Apparently there is a quest - I have not done it yet - that you can get from the Companions after you have completed all their main quests, called the "Dragon Seekers Quest". This will get you criss-crossing skyrim in your hunt for dragons to slay. This is repeatable ad nauseum ... There is also a dragon in Blackreach ... summon him by using unrelenting force on the big yellow ball. Two more dragons in the DLC Dawnguard, they can be found in Forgotten Vale and another in the Soul Cairn in the same DLC. And in the Dragonborn DLC there are a couple more. I suspect that the dragon mounds are just for show and only the first one - Main quest - has any real relevance to them although I do seem to remember - long time ago - that I saw another dragon being raised from a mound west of Whiterun though I could be mistaken. Ok, did some homework, that was no mistake, there seems to be four locations where you can find Alduin raising dragons from the mounds. But in order to see them you have to have met certain criteria, like how far into the Main Quest you have gone. Alright here's the link on the dragon burial mounds if you're interested. http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/615803-the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim/61582502
  12. If anyone else has this problem please view the following. It's a bug and the vid explains how to solve the problem. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-910Zuka0g
  13. Thank you so much, that solved my problem
  14. @ Lachdonin ... Let's throw in the Augur of Dunlain ... he or rather former he (apparently he was a mage), calls the relic in Saarthal the "Eye of Magnus", so that must have been the relics name, it must have been identified as that. The dialogue in which it is found goes like this; "You, and those aiding you, wish to know more about the Eye of Magnus. You wish to avoid the disaster of which you are not yet aware. To see through Magnus' Eye without being blinded, you require his staff. Events now spiral quickly towards the inevitable center, so you must act with haste. Take this knowledge to your Arch-Mage." Seeing that the "Eye of Magnus" does not appear anywhere else in the ES, does not mean that it was not known as such, I put the lack of any other mention down to it being a new addition to the ES lore. Yes, you are correct in saying that towers are focal points for Aetherial energy that much I have read. And yes, you are also correct in saying that the raw power of Aetherius - sunlight - burns the profane vampires. That much I discovered playing Dawnguard and their very reason for trying to obtain the Elder Scrolls and thus fulfil the prophecy - though the prophecy was only originally given to lure a daughter of Coldharbour to Arch-Curate Vyrthur. who wanted to blot out the sun and hurt his god ... because his god had turned his back on him because he was turned into a vampire. In the Saarthal incident it was a more direct "attack" at harnessing these energies where as in Dawnguard it was merely to put out the sun. Having said that, both incidents involve the sun and vampires ... coincidence ?
  15. I'm not sure if this has been done ... but turning my character sometimes feels like driving a bus. She turns in such a wide arc and I'm being beaten silly before I get my bearings. I remember in Fallout 3 there was a mod that allowed you to configure your turn radius. If it has not been done then this would be my humble request. Thank you.
  16. Thanks Tidus that helped a bit ... now about the "summoner" mystery. I tried doing some searching on the web and discovered that the city guards sometimes use the line "hail summoner, conjure me up a warm bed, would you ?" And this takes place when you get involved in the Conjuration line of magic, The Caller is a conjurer. So could it be that ALL in the school of Conjuration are also known as "summoners" ? Secondly, after digging some more I discovered that there's a lot more to the "Magnus" of this quest than meets the eye ... pardon the pun. Apparently Magnus was a god who was one of the architects of the Elder Scrolls universe when he fled to Aetherius his departure tore a hole in Mundus. Now Mundus, from what I can gather, is like our solar system made up of planets and moons and "Nirn" was one of these planets in that solar system ... the name of the planet on which the Elder Scrolls - Skyrim, takes place. Now interestingly enough this hole which Magnus tore when he left that solar system became Nirn's sun, and was also called Magnus. Magnus created the staff "The Staff of Magnus" and that big relic discovered in Saarthal was the "Eye of Magnus". Btw, that emblem/symbol of the College of Winterhold is the "Eye of Magnus" their sun, though it's hard to be sure. The book "On Artaum" - one of the three you mentioned in the Fellglow part of the quest spoke of the Psijics. The Psijics apparently outlawed conjuration for a number of reasons and so, The Caller would not have been anyone they would entertained. I've been thinking, in all probability The Caller knew about Saarthal because the one book "The Night of Tears" speaks about Saarthal. the next book "The Last King of the Ayleids" speaks of the ancient Mer, the inhabitants of the Summerset Isles. it was here that the Psijic order first began and the last book, "On Artaum" speaks of the Psijics themselves. So to tie it up The Caller must have known about the Eye of Magnus in Saarthal "the power to unmake the world", as Ancano said and also the Psijics. Now link the vampires and Magnus - the sun - which she knew the vampires hated, and possibly you might have a deal between her and the vampires in exchange for more power. Or, have the power to completely destroy all vampires.
  17. Anybody have any ideas why "The Caller" has vampires in her Keep ? Some are dead and laying on tables with a few still locked away. It seems to me that they are experimenting on them, what for ? Also why did she get Orthorn to steal the book on the "Eye of Magnus", what does she know, if anything, about the Orb under Saarthal ? Any ideas ?
  18. Thanks Hyac ... that was amazing ... what an incredible talent ... I reckon my hormones are going to be out of sync for the next week.
  19. I'm not sure if there is a mod for Serana's mother Valerica as a follower, but it would simply be great to have one. I like the look of her as is. Thanks so much for the consideration.
  20. .........................................................................PROBLEM SOLVED.................................................................. First of all thank you to everyone for all your advice, I appreciate your time and effort. 1) WHERE I WENT WRONG ... I loaded the disk and it began it's setup launcher, and after I followed all the prompts and choices I ended up with Steam error "1 files failed to validate and will be reacquired". I uninstalled and reinstalled Skyrim a dozen times but still no success. 2) WHAT YOU SHOULD NOT DO ... Do not uninstall Skyrim. Do not uninstall NMM. Do not uninstall your mods that you've lovingly built up over time. 3) WHAT YOU SHOULD DO ... STEPS TO A SUCCESSFUL INSTALLATION. a) Start up these two things ... Steam, NMM and then insert the disk. b) Then the autorun of the disk will begin ... CANCEL IT. c) Open Steam and go to "Games" you will find it right above STORE, LIBRARY, COMMUNITY ETC. d) Click on "Games" and choose "activate a product on Steam". e) Follow through >> "Product Activation", "Steam Subscriber Agreement", and finally "Product Key". f) It will then begin downloading the main game including the DLC's (if like me you want to install the Legendary Edition). g) Once the wait is over go to NMM and check under the "Plugins" tab you will find the DLC's unchecked somewhere on the list ... check/tick them. h) If you're using SKSE click the launcher and start the game ... ALL the DLC's will now be up and running. Lastly a big shout out of thanks to Lord Garon for his advice ... all it took was a few seconds of my time and google to show me where to go and what to do in order to get the ball rolling.
  21. @Georgiegril ... What really irks me is that yesterday I managed to track down the last remaining hard copy in our country after searching every possible avenue. I then got my best friend and travelled a couple of 100 K's with her to another province to buy the damn thing and then had to drive home. And then the miasma hit the fan when it wouldn't work. So yes, it's a bug of the most annoying kind. Btw, I did as you suggested ... still no luck. @ Lord Garon ... please I beg you kind Sir pray tell how do I do that ? Edit ... Right, so I started Steam went to the game, right clicked and went to "view downloadable content" then went to "DLC" and it was empty. Would that have been the route you were going to suggest ?
  22. Nope ... I've just opened NMM and don't see any of the DLC's listed in the plugin list.
  23. Ok so I've bought the Skyrim Legendary edition today (I already have Skyrim), so that I can play the DLC's. After inserting the disk a pop up screen appears asking me if I want to reinstall or uninstall so I choose "reinstall". Then it begins to "validate steam files" ... when it completes this task, it gives me an error message, "1 files failed to validate and will be reacquired". After this it leaves me only one option and that is to "close". Any ideas on what I should do to get the game installed ? Any help will be highly appreciated, thanks.
  24. Hi Lisn', I currently have 136 active. And thanks for the advice on the unofficial patches ... Lisn & Hyacathusarullistad. P.S I know that some of the mods I've downloaded ALSO have DLC addon's that I'd like to get my hands on.
  25. Thank you so much, that really helped.
