  1. OK, what was the LAST thing you installed? You've obviously added lots of mods, and (hopefully) run things in between the vanilla status and the fully modded version we now see So - forensic work - what did you have installed before your last successful game, and what have you added? Then, remove those mods, reinstall anything THEY were listed as clashing with, and rebuild bash patch
  2. A direct sequel to "Unfriendly Competition" Thoronir has cleaned up his act. Sadly, his past activities have caught up with him. His basement now sports a resident ghost, tied to this plane of existance by his missing gravegoods - in particular a locket with a lock of his lover's hair. Meanwhile Thoronir can't access his inventory, and is beginning to struggle to survive in business. The ghost can't be killed, as it runs away if you try, only to reappear. A simple "go and find" mod - maybe. Can Thoronir's business survive with a ghost preventing him accessing his inventory? Can you play detective and find the ghost's lover? Who IS his lover? How do you follow the trail? Speechcraft to persuade people? Sneaking to read their secret documents? Infer details from random snatches of conversation? And what result do YOU want for Thoronir? Restored to good trading? Driven out of business? The reward may be fame, or infamy, or gold - but should be playable by all classes and all alignments. Anyone who wants to pick up the mod idea and run with it, feel free. This isn't a request for a mod - it's a suggestion in case someone was looking for an idea to play with.
  3. Make a turning wheel by using an animated texture maybe?
  4. ModActorValue2 (OBSE) says it does so without affecting the base value
  5. The obvious place they SHOULD be used is if you use your last arrow up, leaving you with an empty quiver in your inventory. Sadly that didn't happen it seems.
  6. Can you read the current maxhealth value and store it, ForceActorValue Health to 1, then use SetActorValue health to set the max level back to where it was, leaving the curreent health at 1?
  7. I like Elragail and Thamriel - maybe because my fertile and twisted mind has filled in a back story for that audio error, when Elragail refers to Thamriel as "He". It helps that I run TNR so the faces are younger and hotter too.
  8. If you can make this work with one of the common Max Compatibility skeletons rather than yet another custom one, it'll be useful. Deedes would be my optimum choice.
  9. I didn't vote, because my answewrs would have skewed the poll away from my preferred end result. I want a single module, with everything in it. However, on my current system, the full set of individual modules gives me a more crash resistant end result, so i *HAVE* to use that - this is NOT my preferred result. One request - just about every alternative start mod adds the SAME ship to Anvil - could you add the ability to toggle on or off a ship in that berth please?
  10. The flame atronach has an animated skin texture so an animated tattoo should be possible - no idea on frame rate hit though
  11. RGMage - do your tattoo mods have any animated tattoos? things like dragons that move a little, as if alive but trapped?
  12. Did you install the files as ONODs? if not they don't show up in OBMM. The texture replacements don't use an ESP - they just replace the textutres. You WILL need to set up Archive Invalidation using OBMM too
  13. There is a lot of graphical clutter in Better Cities. Firstly, turn off the wine barrels in the areas that have them - that (on my system) is an instant jump in frame rate. Next, use the fps patches - it declutters the area so you are not rendering so many objects Also hunt down the 3GB memory patch for Oblivion ... it's a 32 bit game so it can't use the rest, but allowing it to use an extra GB is useful.
  14. Drake's mod is well worth a look I'm sure. My scripting ability is still at the "I can't find it anyplace in the CS" stage, so can be considered non-existant for all intents and purposes. The reason I mention TNR is that it's designed to set up ALL NPCs in the vanilla / SI game, so has to assign facial settings and textures to all of them. The situation is. obviously, a little different for random characters, but for them possibly some degree of regionality may make sense. Adding them dynamically to the ini file may make sense, although if you start a new game you'll tend to get familiar-looking bandits after a hwhile. BTW - in medieval England, people were considered "well travelled" if they had even made it beyond the next village. That tends to allow local gene pools to be VERY inbred and so localised colour variations in Khajiit might be more obvious than you think.
  15. Maybe a hotkey menu - as if you had different whistles to talk to your creature companion. I'm thinking sheepdog trials here. With 8 or so commands, you could get a dog or whatever to do most "trained dog" things. If you prefer, some of those could be animated as hand signals - though a "summon from a distance" would still need to be audible I think.
  16. I've only voted for the modular approach for one reason - it crashes less on my setup. For some reason, the full Better Cities mod, with full Unique Landscaopes and all the patches applied, falls over regularly in Anvil docks. The supposedly identical setup, using modular Better Cities, only crashes about 1 in 10 visits. This may be a memory restriction thing, but it's a significant reason to have umpteen esps cluttering up my load order instead of a single one.
  17. You might prefer to make point (2) "... within a new crypt in the nearest city unless their fame is above XX" - why would they ship someone to the IC to bury unless they were VERY famous?
  18. If it's an nVidia card, on Win7, there was a recent driver update (within the last week) ... maybe that driver has affected stuff
  19. A suggestion for the BAB body. Someone suggested that people didn't percieve it as "as sexy" as the HGEC body because of the smaller chest size. So how about long, split skirts? If someone can get it right, a flash of a long elegant well-shaped leg every step can be VERY sexy - and it's something that has been neglected apart from one or two dresses. I leave that suggestion to you modders - and await the results.
  20. Lots - Try typing name contains "BBB" in the search box. The do a search in the animations section. Then redo the search in the "Oops I forgot" section. Remember you'll need BBB-enabled clothing for your chosen cup size to see anything - those should show up in the second search.
  21. I have the GOTY edition of both Morrowind and Oblivion. They are only as buggy as the same files obtained from any other source - add the unofficial patches and they are as good as you will get anyplace.
  22. Don't Nightshade flowers have five petals, not six? http://www.english-country-garden.com/a/i/flowers/woody-nightshade-3.jpg
  23. Possibly true. I guess something like TNR for the Khajiit characters could assign the subspecies textures. I suspect Drake's basic scripting is more capable than my brain is ... every time i think of a new angle, it seems that it's probably doable using that script as a basis. For random khajiit characters, assigning a texture based on their location might give an idea of "regional variation".
  24. If you have Vista or Win7, and the d3efault install path, it may nott be able to update the ini file due to UAC - that might be the problem
