This has been discussed to death since we changed our password requirements in November 2019. While the feedback is appreciated, we are aware some users find the requirements too difficult and do believe that (from an account security standpoint) our password requirements are fine as they are. If you're having trouble remembering your password I recommend a password manager such as LastPass or letting your browser remember your login info.

Ok so based on your own admission, OP, you deliberately trolled a mod author which lead to a block. The whole point of this post was you venting your frustrations at being held accountable for your behaviour. A fundamental rule in this community is "If you do not like something or have nothing constructive to add, it's best to simply move along.". I see no reason for this thread to continue so I'm going to lock it.

Everything should be working again now. We were dealing with a DDoS and had to enable some countermeasures which made the images go a bit wonky as a side effect.

Hmm, that would imply the problem isn't at a browser level. So it could be anti-virus/security software or some setting on our router, or something with your ISP. Web problems are complicated :tongue: Edit: Just to be sure, are you using the latest versions of Chrome and Firefox?

As long as it appears properly on the mod page, that's what is important. I suspect there's some weirdness with IPBoard's limited character set going on, but it's not currently breaking anything.

This whole thread is starting to get a bit unpleasant. We're aware some users do not like the stricter/longer password requirements, however, we believe this is best fit for the site. If you have trouble remembering long password, I recommended a password manager such as LastPass.

I'm pretty sure we've explored peer-to-peer in the past. I could get one of the devs to chime in here about it but my main concern is the security aspect. I mean, torrenting anything opens you up to potential malware. How can we realistically offer to have at least virus scanned all files if they're not on our own servers? Some very clever people could find a way to spoof the file they sent into the P2P network and it actually contains malware.

Technically you can download any mods but it works best with the ones that have the "Vortex" button enabled on it. Otherwise you need to copy/paste the download link into Vortex, which is a bit of a faff.
