  1. LOL, I honestly believe it is easier to raise a child (they come with skins and textures  ) than it is to learn all this stuff to do indepth modding.
  2. I checked it out, it definitely has depth http://http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/43277
  3. Not plugging in a mod but for a quick reference. Do a mod search "GSRLP", its a small player home, down load it and load it into GECK, the interior cell is GSRLPWildQuonsetInt. There is a note on a table that the player picks up, it displays on the HUD (not Pipboy) then removes it from the players inventory. You can use this to see the parts that are linked and way it is set up. Best teaching aid in the world, is to go in and get your hands dirty :) EDIT: refer to Llama's post for the set stage, easy enough.
  4. Thanks, I'll track that utility for later references. EDIT: Appears any support for NVPlugin is pretty much dead in the water. I am assuming this is the only app for merging esp's, for ANY of Beth's moddable games ??? If so, this is a definite sore spot for the mod community ..such a useful tool.
  5. Each weapon has an associated ammo list ...get in GECK and play around with it.
  6. Yes, they are a good bunch, they enjoy what they do, kinda, love-hate, mostly hate ? j/k ...about the love-hate, they still a good bunch
  7. 1) Any item in a player owned house is protected. 2) As far as using in-game console to do what you want to do, I dont know how it will work out. 3) Get the CK, load Hearthfire.esm and probably Skyrim.esm, find the interior cell you want to modify, find the object (book shelf) you want to place and drag-drop into interior cell and adjust position, save that setup to a esp file name of your choosing, load Skyrim to where you have "Data File" option and check your mod file as a load ...then its Boogie time, check out your work  The CK is actually awesome once you learn to use it a bit. EDIT: that esp file you create then will be available for other games you start ..not just your current.
  8. Try either moving him to your toon "or" your toon moving to him. Console command: player.moveto 1A683 or prid 1A683 moveto player See what your results are.
  9. PC Dragonborn actually worked great for me, only had one glitch ...uhmm, even forgot what that was. EDIT: Oh, oh, I recall the glitch, I couldnt ride the Dragons ...it was a mod that placed Skeleton.nif in the Dragon mesh folder ...one simple little item shut the MQ down for me, as you see, it doesnt take much. EDIT: I played Dragonborn with a level 81.5 toon (maxed out), so I had 70 Dragon Souls to start. But then BOSS only counts 46 mods I've loaded ...so I'm more likely to have a stable load. ** I know me stating that I am having no issues doesnt help you, may in fact grate on you (either help or dont post) but letting you know that HIGHLY likely that you have either a mod interfereing or a corrupted game.
  10. I haven't looked into it yet, someone can save me some time if they were to steer me in the right direction  The esp's are mine, I am looking to consolidate ..thank you for any guidance.
  11. Nekkid with yeller spots ? ...ohhooo, kinky.
  12. Not at all, you script would work only the other script reduces overhead, possible wasted cpu cycles.
  13. Playing Master Mode, I dont care what skills you start with, you MUST keep you main combat skills leveling (perk wise), no enchanting, no smithing etc. ...and Health Health Health. (going Magic at start and "Master Mode", NEEDING magicka will hurt your NEED for health, Starting out as pure Magic user is "Master Mode PLUS", IMO) I'd highly suggest going melee at first because melee weapons far outshine Magic and you need that initial "umph". You very likely may not move into other skills until level 20 or past, whatever you do, do not let NPC's level "outlevel" your combat skills. Edit: One last item, get a Companion QUICKLY, should be your first objective.
  14. Update Skyrim Unoffical path, try the Dragonborn Unoffical patch ..also, if you have a Skeleton.nif file in the directory "Meshes/Actors/Dragon/Charater Assets/", delete or move it. The above should fix the "stuck on the ground with flying animation", your dialog part is bound for sure to be a mod interference.
  15. Definitely no shortage in Player home mods, but there are basic considerations. Do you want to maintain the game as barren, life is hard senario ? ..then you want something simple. Do you want it big, multi room, lots of storage, lots of clutter, state of the art feel ? Do you want to start using it immediately ? ...some mods have associated quest which would delay your access to it. Do you want it near the game start position, ie, Goodsprings ? The game is object intensive, being tons of pickup items, you would want a storage system that doesnt make you dizzy yet meets your needs in being "organized". Once you start storing items, its a pain in the butt to "replace" the mod because you have to retrieve ALL your stored items, hold it somewhere else while you swap out mods then restore items to thier new home ..so, before storing items, make sure the mod is the one you will be happy with.
  16. Just the way it was implemented, the drivers/interface. One big reason why it is such a headache to develop graphics (and sound too) for PC's, to many variables in the way graphics/sound is implemented, bunch years ago, the standard was "there is no standard" ...that has changed somewhat but it still exist in a "standards" interpretation ...ie, same book but you read it as going left, I see it as going right. Anyway, millions of transistors, whats the odds a computer can survive a year when alls it takes is one transistor going bad ? ...lucky this stuff works at all
  17. Uuhhmm, the vendors has cards to buy ..is that so you can build decks ? And Xan is drawing us pictures because we dont have our AI packages installed :teehee:
  18. Assuming you have all the DLC's Nexus mod manager (even if you manualy download, still use Nexus mod manager) to handle your ArchiveInvalidate. BOSS for load order. Mikotos beauty pak. Hi-Rez BOG skins, "Cali" pak be compatable with most peoples taste. Player Home, number versions from "plain jane" to "extravagant palaces". Willow companion probably best companion mod out there, there are others that are good too. Project Nevada Someguy mods (Bounty Hunter, The Inheritance etc) A World of Pain Armor mods I myself dont play with a lot of mods, pick what Id like to enhance but dont push your luck with game stability. It may well take you a full day to mod out your game and even then you will look somemore. OHHH, one good piece of advice, even it you are experienced, a reminder ...load the mods just a couple or one at a time, if you have problem with game crashing, mush easier for you to determine which mod is the culprit.
  19. Bingo ( I havent looked but you are probably right) I have Project Nevada loaded, dont recall if its "rebalance" tho. Let me get in it and see "whats what". Thanks Xaranth EDIT: that was the issue, set it to vanilla normal ...was playing Very Hard mode with a toon at level 33 and 150 health ...eeek!!
  20. Hey guys, issue here, does anyone know for a fact what health a toon should have ? Wiki states "95 + (Endurance x 20) + (Lvl x 5)", ie, level one toon with 8 endurance should have 260 health (95+160+5). Toon I have plus new one I created, they are only getting +10 per endurance AND thier health is not leveling (+5 per wiki) when they level. Have a toon with endurance of 5, its at level 33 and only has 150 health. Level 1 toon (game) I started with endurance of 8 has 180 health. I have all the DLC's loaded.
  21. By golly, your right, and I didnt realize it was a SE function, I probably dont realize just how heavly we rely on SE ...friggin Beth dev's sure are lazy.
  22. That GBO command to retrieve the "baseID", does Skyrim SKSE also have that function ? Never knew the SE's had that function, very handy.
  23. Bump, the ol "hat on the shoulder" trick ...Beth, you lazy bums. And I just happened across this myself but I figured I'd just let my toons wander the world with a chip ..err, hat on thier shoulder :) Thanks guys, usually it plays hell finding a solution (10 mins for solution, WOW!!) and I am not a serious modder so I dont bug ya with my petty stuff. You all are a good bunch, no matter what others say ;) Edit: BTW, I just duplicated a form within GECK and this problem popped up, besides ID and name change, form was exact.
  24. Dam you good TrickyVein ...Im coming to you for all my problems !! OP, Tricky pretty much said it, dont use it.
