Professional Sports Leagues...Responsible for player behavior?
HeyYou replied to edgeburner's topic in Debates
Second chances shouldn't be based on your net worth. Which is how it stands now. A young man, that was underage, without a drivers license, got drunk, drove a car, and killed four people. Did he get prison time for that? Nope, he got PROBATION. Another young man, got drunk, wrecked his car, killed two people (in his car) and got ten years. He actually had a legal drivers license. Guess which one was rich. -
Do you have a bashed patch? Or some other variety of merged patch? If so, did you rebuild it after removing RND? (else, it would still be dependent on it, and you get the missing master crash you are seeing.)

What is the best way to move Skyrim to a new computer?
HeyYou replied to bobham's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Install the base game, then copy over the ENTIRE skyrim folder. That way, you get skse, and whatever other utilities as well. -
Kill real time scanning on your virus/anti-malware scanner before playing....

NMM Crashes Upon Selecting Skyrim for Modding
HeyYou replied to whatorthat's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Apparently it isn't finding the registry entry for 'install path' for skyrim. I think........ -
Thought you improved weapons at the grinding wheel? Or did your mods alter that behavior? Might want to post in the mods section.

Nah, it's the whole "I am a celebrity, therefore I can do what I want." thing. Not only are they 'famous', but, they also have large piles of money...... Just look at some of the scandals of late, doping, PEDs, dog fighting, wife/child beating, etc. If that was ANYONE else, they would be sitting in a cell, not getting paid millions per yer to play a damn game. Sarah Palin has even jumped on the "I'm a celebrity" bandwagon..... her latest drunken escaped found her screaming "Don't you know who I am?" Yep, and I still think they should throw your drunk ass into the jail cell. -
Right. Windmills, and solar, are NOT clean. have a close look at the materials required, and the process for obtaining, and processing them. Makes a vintage 1900's coal plant look positively clean. Of course the government is touting this as a 'disaster'. Gotta remember the old adage: Never let a crisis go to waste. If there isn't one convenient, create one. Thus, we have "Global Warming", or, climate change, whichever you prefer.
-
Both, we are a product of our environment, and our genetic make up.
-
Global warming IS a political issue. And that's about it. So far, no one has come up with convincing evidence, (that wasn't fabricated/manipulated) or, a climate model that actually works. This is simply a cash cow for researchers, and another method of potential control for the politicians.
-
I would be tempted to move it out of program files as well...... One would think that software developers would have figured that one out by now.
-
Nice machine. Windows 8? Where is the game/steam installed to?
-
What else is running on your machine? Have any scheduled tasks that coincide with the crashes?

Crysis was a game that pushed current gen hardware (for when it was released) pretty hard. They made money on it, but, it probably didn't make as much as it would have, had it not been quite so hardware demanding. But then, it may not have been quite as good a game either...... A pretty good selection of folks are still running on 32bit operating systems. They are unable to utilize more than 4gb of ram, and even if you have 20 installed, it will only 'see' about 3.2gb..... It's a limitation of the O/S, and there is no getting around it. When everyone has a 64bit O/S, then games that require large amounts of RAM will actually be viable.

Folks have been announcing the death of console/pc gaming, and consoles/pc's, since the first generation of gamers. So far, both platforms seem to be doing rather well. At this point, we have reached a plateau in PC development, they are about as fast/powerful as they are going to get. Sure, there will be incremental increases, but, nothing like what we have seen in just the last five years. At least, not until the next major hurdle is passed. (heat generation, and a way to dissipate it.) Now, the software developers need to actually take advantage of some of those advances. We STILL do not have games that TRULY utilize multi-core processors, and multiple video cards. Most games run on a single core, or at most, partially utilize a second.

The solution to that is to deal with it when we become directly threatened. Otherwise, becoming involved too soon will drag us into conflicts that we could of avoided altogether. Sometimes, getting involved from the get-go isn't the best idea. That solution was tried before in Munich in 1938 by Chamberlain and Deladier when they hoped if they ignored a difficult decision the problem it might be become manageable. When a country stalls until a problem reaches their shores / borders it's already too late. "One ought never to turn one's back on a threatened danger and try to run away from it. If you do that, you will double the danger. But if you meet it promptly and without flinching, you will reduce the danger by half. " - Churchill So what about when you meet the danger with half-measures? Or when there are so many problems to face, that you haven't the resources to meet them all? Let's toss in a government that can't decide who it hates more, the Russians, ISIS, Assad, or itself, or even the people they were elected to rule....... Quite frankly, if our government did ANYTHING promptly, and without flinching, I would probably drop over dead from a heart attack, I would be so surprised.
-
They aren't the only ones with that goal in mind. What's the solution? Kill all the muslims??
-
The palestinians are the ones that put a labeled terrorist organization in charge. Part of their goal is the destruction of Israel. So, should Israel allow them a free pass to bring in whatever they want? So that it can then be used against them? Should Israel simply ignore the attacks that DO kill folks in Israel? Got news for ya bud, if you fire weapons at me, I WILL fire back. I don't care if you are only shooting a BB gun, I will drop you where you stand, with all the force I have available. It DOESN'T MATTER that Hamas has zero hope of ever achieving their goals, they are a GOVERNMENT (albeit, not a good one) that is ATTACKING their neighbor. If they expect nothing to happen, then they are friggin' delusional. But then, what happened is EXACTLY what they EXPECTED to happen. They WANT civilians killed. They WANT awful pictures of wounded/dead/distraught civilians, because that plays well in the press, to garner sympathy for them. Why else do you think they declared "victory" after getting thoroughly trounced? And what is even stupider is, Hamas is even MORE popular now. (in Gaza at any rate....) It is SOLELY HAMAS responsibility for the dead. They were offered the EXACT same thing for a cease fire, over a month ago. They refused. More people died. Expecting Israel NOT to retaliate for ANY attack is beyond ridiculous. Doesn't matter who it is, if you start a fight where you know you are going to get your butt whooped, and start the fight anyway, how is that your opponents fault? Your logic is truly baffling. That said.... Yep, the ultimate fate of any 'palestinian' nation, is to be absorbed into greater israel. NEITHER side wants peace. BOTH sides want ALL the land. As Israel significantly out-powers the palestinians, in multiple ways, it really isn't hard to see the end result. Barring some truly unusual turn of events, it is all going to end up being Israel in any event. Israels actions RIGHT after the cease-fire was put in place show that. Personally, I thought that was one of the stupidest things Israel could have done at that point in time..... Exhibiting the very behavior that got all this brew-ha-ha started in the first place. The first mistake was the creation of Israel, without the consent of those that were currently living there..... It has been a comedy of errors since then, with no end in site. There won't be any peace there, so long as both sides exist.
-
Israel gets about 3 billion per year in military aid, which, by treaty, they are REQUIRED to spend on armaments.... which they purchase from US companies...... Basically, it's corporate welfare for the defense industry. Given that their economy is doing better than ours..... I should think that we would stop giving money to folks that don't really need it..... That said, both sides have their issues. This particular little problem won't be resolved until one side, or the other, are completely wiped out.
-
This point always gets repeated: that Hamas et al are morally reprehensible because they launch rocket salvos from populated areas. Have any of the people who've said this ever taken a look at Gaza? Even a youtube video tour? There is nowhere you can fire a rocket out of Gaza that isn't in close proximity to civilians. The place is one of the most densely populated areas in the world. They live on-top of each other like rats and they're pissed off at the generational humiliation they receive from Israel. If I were Gazan, you bet I'd want to take revenge on Israel. Even if it means firing a roman candle across the border, or mooning my ass at a border guard; they would have to kill me before I give up. Yes, it is, I do believe it is in the top three.... However, there is still large areas that are agricultural/undeveloped. Doesn't matter how you try and paint it, Hamas is MAKING SURE civilians are casualties of their war.

HeyYou replied to williamgillam713's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Open the console, and click on one of the mobs. Look at the first two characters of it's ID, that will tell you which mod they are from. -

No, pressure from the world community who sides with the Palestinians, as a matter of course. The media played it's part in setting up the narrative, which it has from the beginning. It seems the person who is wrong is always the bigger of the two, because the imagery is there to be exploted by those who wish to promote this narretive. It sells more papers and turns more heads, which is what these news services are after. This will soon pass and the media will quickly flash over to someone else they can depict as victims, so they can capitalize on some other blood bath they can pick their davids and their Goliath's. Rinse and repeat. Your aren't seriously defending the Israelis stealing yet more land are you? I'm not defending anything, but the making of hostilities bring a price if you don't win. The Palestinians knew what they were getting into and yet did so willing and with gusto. I don't defend steeling and I don't defend foolhardiness either. But, looking over the past history of the region, is it foolhardiness, or desperation? Seems nothing they have tried has changed the situation overmuch, aside from them losing yet more land. (either via settlements, or war....) I can understand where they are coming from, but, I do not agree with their methods. Not like they have a lot of folks on their side though, that can actually exert any influence on events..... They are stuck between a rock, and a hard place. Maybe they would be better off if they just let Israel annex the entirety of Gaza, and became Israeli citizens.......
