Ground Textures Missing Inside Diamond City
Crosstieger replied to adamito's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
You can always try: Remove all of your textures mods one by one and check the game after every uninstallationLet Steam verify your game filesIssues like this most of the time mean one of two things: Missing mesh file Invisible / Fully transparent textures -
Do you have any power armor or animation mods installed? I would guess that you don't find many people reporting this issue, because it's normal... The game is very buggy when it comes to animation. Or how would you explain this? https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/397803847507163066/9887EB9AE77B13C5FCEC1443EABCD263AE61E812/?interpolation=lanczos-none&output-format=jpeg&output-quality=95&fit=inside|1024%3A576&composite-to=*,*|1024%3A576&background-color=black

Does Fallout 4 VR support 8 core CPU?
Crosstieger replied to sdsd8452's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
The game does use multiple threads but not as effective as it could be. Quick walk outside of diamon city while shooting things. -
I'm messing around with dialogues for the first time. I am using a talking activator (voice interface) as npc. My problem is that every time my activator finishes a response the dialogue menu won't reappear. I am stuck in the dialogue camera and only see the cursor. Now, I can get the menu to appear by walking backwards until the camera snaps back and then move the mouse to a side to get out of the dialogue. Second problem: Sometimes the phases end too quickly and the NPC starts his next text while still talking to me. Plus the subtitles don't match the voice (they disappear to fast or to slow). I'm switching phases by using the "start screne" option.

Which browser? Firefox: Go to settings, scroll down to Application, scroll further down until you find the "application" "NXM". Set the action to open with NMM. If that's already set, remove it, restart your browser and set it again

MASS EFFECT 3 BLOOD DRAGON ARMOR MOD REQUEST

It Shouldn't. But it's best to have a separate first person mesh with just the hands and arms. -
MASS EFFECT 3 BLOOD DRAGON ARMOR MOD REQUEST
Crosstieger replied to XxSHOTGUNxX's topic in Fallout 4's Mod Ideas
If you already have it for Skyrim you can always use Outfit Studio to convert it to FO4. BUT: You have a hard time releasing this armor since ea basically holds all copyright of it. You, more or less, are not even allowed to extract it from Mass Effect in the first place... Be careful as copyright is a [deleted]. -
Add a ton of memes? Sorry. I don't know. Do you want your conversion still to be a Fallout themed game or something completely else? If it should still be a Fallout game, add the things that we all missed from previous titles. A good quest dialogue with decisions that will actually impact the game. But most important: add the things that will work with your quests and the way you want your mod to be laid out. Have multiple factions? A karma-like system is kind of a must (imo). And with actor values that's super easy to do. Rely on rebuilding things? Use some settlement assets, like Sim settlement.

Preston Garvey - broken dialog "when freedom calls"
Crosstieger replied to TurtleTy's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
You can always try to advance the quest via the console. setstage 001a001c 1000 http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/When_Freedom_Calls -
Fallout 4 for me is running like an absolute charm. I never had a ctd that I didn't cause by myself (messing with nif files, scripts and so on) for the last 500 hours. Never lost a safe game. It survived mod updates and removing. Whenever I installed a "bad" mod I could always uninstall it, revert to a safe before the initial installation and I'm good to go. My game even survived transferring to a new system. ... Knocks so heavily on wood that fist hurts  I always fall back to some ground rules: Never be the first guy to download a mod that isn't pure textures. Always test out most of the functions of a mod using the console. If no errors occur, load you initial safe and play. Always keep a backup of you safes. My backups come in the form of a bull load of hard safes. I don't rely on quick- or exitsafes. Why only safe you game once if you could do it twice :ninja:

NMM should use whatever is set to your default browser. So if you set chrome as your default browser, NMM should use it. If you run win 10, check Setting / Apps / Default-Apps / Webbrowser If you already have chrome set to default, use the button "reset" at the bottom of the page to restore the default values and set chrome as your default browser again. Restart NMM and it should take effect.

Personally I would avoid tools like steam mover and such. You never now how exactly they move the files and if they leave symbolic links or similar things behind. They can get broken by regular system updates, like in you case. I would move games the good old fashion way: Backup all you game files (basically the entire Fallout 4 folder)Backup you NMM files (folder "mods" and "install info" should be enough as long as you don't alter you NMM installation)Backup the Fallout 4 folder located at "Documents\MyGames"Backup the following folder C:\Users\<your account>\AppData\Local\Fallout4 Let steam uninstall the gameRemove anything thats left behind inside the Fallout 4 folder located inside /steamapps/... If you have a fast internet connection (or have the time to wait) let steam download and install vanilla Fallout to the new locationIf you don't wanna wait, move the original Fallout files from you backup to the new location and then let steam start the downloadStam should analyze the existing files and only download the missing ones (shouldn't take long)Once finished, start the game without any mods! Steam will now set up the game As soon as you are in the menu, close the game and move all you backups the the new locationMake sure to alter the NMM config to match your new location Done. I have moved my installation across multiple systems quite some time now using this method...

With a budget of 100 - 150$ you would be looking at the following: (Fastest to slowest for amd and nvidia) GTX 780 3GB (If you are lucky)GTX 770 4GBGTX 680 2GBGTX 960 4GB R9 290 (If you are lucky)R9 280 / 380 (280 might be easier to find, basically identical to RX 380)HD 7870 Of course you might always come across a very nice deal and get something faster for you money... if you can negotiate. The list above if more of a - should be very possible to get type - . Just browse all the sides you know (ebay, craiglist and what not) for them deal! My recommendation: R280 or GTX770 (for max. 120$) . I for myself managed to get a hand on a gtx 780TI for 150€ -> ~178$. (As fast as a GTX 970 / RX 570)

Well theoretically it's possible. Would require someone to create an external tool that could automatically create such a mod and combine all the requirements, but it's very much possible. But, and there is a big butt: You would need to add every single mesh, texture, script, esp files and what not, from every single mod that's required for this specific settlement to EVERY SINGLE blueprint you create. Let's say you don't want to create settlements on your own and always download a blueprint; could you imagine having to download the same chair model and its textures 20 times, for each blueprint? Your hard drive would cry for mercy. You most likely would override that chair model 20 times (by each settlement blueprint) or have 20 different chairs that all look and act exactly the same. That would be such a waste of storage and resources. On a more realistic note: Most of the blueprints require the same mods to be installed. And if you are into settlement building you probably already have those mods installed. The way the system is right now is most likely the most optimal way of transferring blueprints.

ImageSpace Modifiers And Python
Crosstieger replied to Crosstieger's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
yea sorry, getting confused lately  With those function I can only switch between ISM and turn them on or off. It doesn't really look like as if I could change a setting of a defined ISM. -
Can you manipulate the properties of an Image Space Modifier with a python papyrus script? For example: use a script to change the tint from green to red.

You installed a bunch of mods on the 13. Did you boot up the game every time you installed a mod? Simple advice: Install a mod, boot up the game, test it, if success install next mod. I would recommend uninstalling all the mods since the 13. November, test your game and if success install them one after another.

A caouple of questions about 1st person models
Crosstieger replied to Macrophobic's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
That's not quit correct. You can - theoretically - "see" everything that’s present in the 1st person model. It just doesn't make a lot of sense having certain meshes present and, like I said, it could cause clipping with the camera or other items like the pip-boy. For example cross's cybernetics: If you would use the 3rd person model as 1st person, then the mesh would cover up the pip-boy making it very hard to use. I think that's not the point. That has more something to do with the male body being totally different from the female one. Clothing / armor just wouldn't look "right" and, of course, personal preferences. If that's how you want to do backup, fine. I don't see a problem with that. -

A caouple of questions about 1st person models
Crosstieger replied to Macrophobic's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
I think it's because of clipping. Having a full body visible in first person could look funny. Also there's basically no point in having your whole body present in 1st person since you can't even see them, or can you see your head irl? I can't :) No there's no real need for a special first person model. I think if non is specified the game will fall back to the naked hand model. (not sure about that) But it's better to just use the for arm and hand mesh for a custom first person model. Nope. 1st person model is more or less just a cut-down version of the 3rd person model. That of course always depends on the mod author.
