2 things you might try - one is a ini setting. Under terrainmanager you have the settings fblockLoddistance 0, 1 and 2. Now these setting have dramatic effects on LOD quality, 0 is the closest to thep layer and 2 being the furthest level. You can safely have 2 at 250000 without degrading performance. Idk what kinda computer you have but you might try upping level 0 and 1, usually you make level 1 double that of 0. You might find upping level 1 brings the water back but maybe you need level 0 to increase. This could reduce your fps outdoors in Skyrim by a bit and also bring about infinite load screens or out of memory crashes if your game is not setup properly with enb etc Long reply i know, figured id address it once and for all. I personally play with these setting at 70000, 140000 and 250000 respectively. If that doesnt work, maybe try a water mod or even the skyfalls and skymills mod.

Need a reliable Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini and settings info
SMB92 replied to zyg0tic's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Lol thats were i read that post, on the previous page XD. CDcooley mentioned both the mannequins and weapon rack examples. Now a thought looking back, when you lock the frame rate i imagine what you are doing is hardcapping the time the game has to produce the frame. Which means you are giving the cpu more time and how that could affect the script is beyond me, if anything you could increase it safely. However, if the theory that the renderer goes first is true, and it takes that long for your game to produce the frame, if there is something wrong with the framecap/hardcap method that makes it so it HAS to spit the frame out in that time frame, but cant and then the gpu drops the frame, then it would be obvious that the script had no time to run. This is a rather obtuse situation/theory however. Furthermore, if the scripts are always running on the loading screens preparing for the next scenes, well then to me this indicates that papyrus does indeed run first. I think i will just upload my own INIs soon. Anyway carry on ppl :) -
Well thats mostly clean, however Warmaidens.esp seems to have a lot of broken records. These records will crash the game when encountered. I would recommend you remove it and contact the author. Also NightsWatchArmorLight.esp has a few error but they might be okay. You can also ignore the error from kyptopyrs sneak skills overhaul. Try removing warmaidens and see if the game works.

I just turned it on to see what it said about me starting a new game... good laughs. One thing though, ive never had a problem starting a new game with Helgen Reborn. I had forgotten all about it and well, i guess it just works. Also did anyone mention multithreaded navmesh tweak yet? Edit - what cdcooley is saying makes no sense. Unless the script budget is given after some other resource is completed its task. I thought papyrus had priority and the rest of the time was given to the renderer. That said, i thought i just seen a post about walking into a cell and weapons etc being on the floor and then getting relocated to thier weapon racks etc, which would mean the renderer goes first. As per smkVipers post it would seem this doesnt matter either way as any extra time added to fupdatebudget can take away from frame time for the renderer, if it uses the whole budget. If you are already struggling to hit 60, then you will have no hope of getting it by upping this setting if your game is overloaded with scripts. Hence why i say there is no single core fast enough to get the absolute best from all settings in Skyrim, it has to be balanced. Having said that i am enjoying a disgustingly high level of graphics and scripts in my game, albeit with some frame dives in intense areas, but smoothly at that 90% of the time. If any remembers trying to get Oblivion to stop lagging after 1.5million polies on scene + 6000 draw calls, they would somewhat appreciate Skyrim at least a little bit more. -
Papyrus log is nothing out of the ordinary, sounds to me if your crashing in the particular areaxall the time you have an orphaned record or bad navmesh problems. What you wanna do is a check for errors in all your mods in tesvedit. Just press ctrl+a to select all mods in tesvedit and right click chexk for errors. Ignore errors in skyrim, the dlc or uskps, and when itsxdone checking for errors, copy the tezt from tesvedit into a spoiler tag here.

Mine runs better, i upgraded from 7 via the microsoft site (MCT). Worked clean out of the box which i didnt expect. However in recent times, surrounding the CK, I am starting to beleive there is a gjost in the machine that is haunting the CK. Weird things i cannot explain or fix via any known method or trick to man. Other than that my memory is running about 3-5% higher data rate so im happy there.

AFT is Amazing Follower Tweaks. It actually uses the player owned vanilla horses, any follower within the vicinity of a spare player horse will mount it when the player mounts one also. This works for me with as many horses and followers as i can keep around me, so far i have had 4 followers on horses, the problem with it is as soon as they dismount the extra horses will start walking back home and wont fast travel with you. Ive been meaning to look at AFTs code myself, but im not actually a follower kind of person, although i would like this feature to work. Regarding the game balance, you clearly havent seen the Sands of Time mod, not so much poor old villian now but more like poor old dragonborn XD. I can appreciate that you designed this to your own specs so no problem, i was just hoping this was the quick solution to that problem in my own game.

Thats nice to know, i had previously made loose comments to authors about paying them to do something, such as "id consider offering you dollars to implement this to your system" etc. Havent been pulled up about it, mind you i was never insistent, but given the stringent adherence to rules policy or be banned policy, im glad to know that the level of moderation is still reasonable. Having said that i will definitely refrain from making such comments.

Restore to NMM version before Virtual Folders and Profiles
SMB92 replied to saibashi's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
You might have better luck posting in the NMM thread than putting this post in every games technical support thread. -
Yes very much so. This is why i make my own installer folders in Wrye Bash. If i were in front of the pc id send you a screen of how mine looks. Edit - Im not in front if the pc because im in bed, and the pc is just aitting there on pause in Candlehearth Hall XD The air con is too fold to get up now.

Could have been, the universe does that to me and cant say i tested it twice either. I know about the delay that can occur but its only happened to me 3 or 4 times. Ideally if the cpu is fast enough, we want to reduce this value and give more time to frames. But no single core i know of on the commercial market is capable of this XD. My favorite thing to look at is the carnage my papyrus log is after starting a new game. Everything goes smoothly in game, but lololol that log. Random thought of the moment. -
Crashes to desktop whenever I press the quick map bind
SMB92 replied to Berkwild's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Curious issue this one. Have you tried disabling the quality map esp and seeing if that might resolve it? -
I'm about to go back to my new game with the SoT setup. Now that i've made my dungeons and night times perilously dark, i think this is going to be a seriously paranoid playthrough. From my current tests, ive finally made Alchemy and Enchanting a full on must for my character ^^ Now to find a decent enchanting mod for the perks. TTRSO is a little boring for enchanting.

Actually, i dont like Ulfric one bit really. I would have preferred to become king myself ;) I do feel that Skyrim should be controlled by the Nords, the Empire has drifted too far away from their heritage, inevitably i'd agree, but i dont think they need to own everything. I dont like the racism that comes with the Stormcloaks either, thats the only reason i would have supported the Imperials. However i always feel hypocritical about that because of the Forsworn. I usually let them go in the end. I guess i feel this way given i'm Australian and you look at what happened to our indigenous people. But then i dont support their demonic/daedric customs either, but ultimately i feel they have the right. But God do i enjoy slaughtering the Thalmor. Smartass b******s
-
Well you were always gonna get issues when you decided to join with the great farce that is the Imperial Empire ;). Its probably the Thalmor playing tricks on you. You know, i came to prefer 2 or 3 reasonably leveled dragons attacking me over one World-Eating-End-of-Time-and-Space frost dragon that came with Deadly Dragons while i was level 10 or so. Alrhough i prefer that to happen when im travelling with multiple followers cause otherwise it is a bit of a day ruiner.

My game went kinda funny with fupdatebudget over 1.2, 1.6 seemed alright but at one point i waited 15 minutes for an MCM to appear. When i went back to 1.2 the MCM menu appeared instantly. That was my observation with that. I at least thought a tenth of a frame couldnt hurt but meh. -
Yes its easy to skip over sometimes, I have just learnt to become thorough. Only took 8 years of modding XD Breezehome is one of my favorite homes, I'm a sucker for quaint little cottages and the like. I cannot recall the last time I crashed there. There is a mod that I was going to look for that I see people talk about, "Breezehome fully upgradeable" or something like that, I seen a couple shots and it looked nice. Maybe look for that? Anyhow in the case of those deleted records, when we do "mod cleaning" we remove deleted records and instead change them to "disabled". Unless a mod author has stated otherwise (and is a credible author), we should never "delete" anything, just disable it. That stops the game generating errors because of this. And lastly on the Apollodown mods, I was meaning to make a note of that, that mod is fine. My hardcore setup contains most of his works, except Fire and Ice.

Found some mods that touch on this issue, you might have a look at them and see if they might help. At the very least they might contain valuable info in their esp files that you could view in TesVedit for potential settings that could fix your problem. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/4020/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/746/?

Okay there are a number of bad errors here. Any error you see with < Error: Could not be resolved > is bad, they result in a crash whenever they come up in game, is in whenever the game references/uses these records. And what the hell is up with BHTFNX.esp? Seems to have deleted all of Breezehome. I suppose this could be intentional by the mod, but i don't like the look of it. Now how to resolve? Well, without a detailed learning into TesVedit, you might find this very difficult. That said, THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE MOD AUTHORS JOB. So you aren't expected to deal with these things, however you can if you like. What they mean, these errors, is that the record is trying to reference another record, either requires it or edits it, but it's pointing to thin air instead, meaning the reference is missing/corrupted/removed/forgot to be redirected by author/the formid of the record has changed etc. Thus the game just crashes 99% of the time this occurs. These are called orphaned records, most of the time. I just call them mistakes. Now some of those mods I can't speak for, you need to contact the author and ask them to fix it. This might not always be possible. HOWEVER, I see that what's immediately a problem is the dud weapon patches, they've affected your Reproccer patch because Reproccer has copied these broken records into them. Get rid of these files: WeaponsArmorFixes_ImmersiveWeapons_Patch.esp, DBM_IWIA_Patch.esp, CCOR_IA7_Patch.esp and REGENERATE your Reproccer patches. Now this will effect the outcome of the patches, as in those records the patches intended to fix will not be present in your game, they will be however the Reproccer patches them, so you might notice inconsistencies etc. You need to talk to those responsible for these patches and let em know they are broken. For all the other mods, what I suggest for now, seems that they only have a few errors in comparison to those weapon patches, leave them them there. Yes leave them. Because to start with, if you just get rid of the weapon patches and regenrate your Reproccer, that might be enough to get you in the game and you might not run into any of the broken mods' broken records for some time. So that can give you time to contact authors and also less work for you to play the game right now. Sometimes when I know there are errors, but I'm not bothered to fix them and I know they aren't catastrophic if I don't run into them, then I just play the game for a while and come back to patch it up later :) So just do that and report back if can.

Eh? "Derived from the video game Skyrim"? That's a new one.
-
Well the Payrus log is inconclusive and your memory settings are now ideal, doesn't seem like something wrong with the SK INI's really, So lets have a check for errors in TesVedit Grab TesVedit and open it, select ok to load all mods, wait for it to build all the reference info, then select any mod on the mod list, press CTRL+A to select all mods in list, then scroll to top of list and hold CTRL and click on the Skyrim esms and USKP esps to deselect them without deselecting the whole list, right click on any mod below them and select "Check for errors" from the list. Wait for this to finish. You will see on the right hand side that text will appear saying checking for errors, when it's done this will now be a list. Copy this list down from where it started checking to the end and post it in a spoiler tag here.

Still stuck in Whiterun, can't find enough materials to make fur armors, seems even with CCOR that they still require Elk Hides and Wolf Pelts rather than just fur plates etc. So now I just stare into the Sea of Ghosts in hope the storm will subside. I nearly froze to death just walking outside of the town walls from the Frozen Hearth

When you installed Skytest, did you get the update for it? I beleive there is an updated version on a separate mod page, think its SkyTEST 1.38 with integration. Curious that you lag with xpms, you talking about v1.94 right?
