  1. ...you'd think I would know about that by now. Thank you!
  2. I just want to sort of vent a little here. So far, Bethesda is the only company I have seen who has not released licensed merchandise for their games. Blizzard has all kinds of Warcraft and Starcraft merchandise, including things like clothing, coffee mugs, props, novels, and comics. I haven't really seen this with The Elder Scrolls, despite its massive fanbase and intense popularity. Not counting the limited "These aren't the dragons you're looking for" t-shirt, I've only seen one company licensed to release Elder Scrolls-based merchandise - Volpin Props. I know that there are a couple of Elder Scrolls novels, but I'd like to see more. Something along the lines of Warcraft Archives, or the World of Warcraft manga series. I also know about the Alduin figurine that was released briefly. What I'm basically saying here is that I see a lot of money Bethesda is missing out on...I mean, would YOU wear a Khajiit-inspired hoodie with ears? Drink from a coffee mug with Alduin's face on it? Slap Elder Scrolls decals all over your car? I would. In any case, thank you for letting me vent here. Maybe one day they'll realise they should be doing this.
  3. This may conflict with "Real Cities - Whiterun", which has become my favourite Whiterun mod. I'll look into it though, because I love Whiterun, but Breezehome was...a let-down...and I'd love to live in Whiterun without setting dragons loose on Tamriel.
  4. Downloaded and tested the two above. Castle Mendoza is AMAZING, minus the little "surprise" the first time you walk up. Thank you! [and I know I could search...I just don't have the patience to sort through a long list. When I go to mod, I'm looking to get in, get my stuff, and get out...I shop like a guy]
  5. So, I recently downloaded Real Cities - Solitude and Real Cities - Whiterun. The changes they make to these two cities are...stunning. Immersive as all get-out. I was in awe the first time I set foot in Whiterun after installing these mods. But I noticed something... It adds new generic NPCs (sailors, beggars, hunters, etc)...but it doesn't really give them a schedule. They just kind of gravitate around a little sector of the city, and they're always there. I recalled Morrowind Comes Alive, where the added generic NPCs would come and go, and I thought, "can this be done in Skyrim?" I don't see why not. There's chances of randomly encountering Revelers, random hostile NPCs, etc... I know nothing of working with the CK, after peeking in I realised that it's just beyond my abilites to mod Skyrim. So, here's the basis of my idea: -New, generic NPCs with schedules, who wandered from one town to the next, each with generic voice packages befitting their type (hunters say "Been huntin' and fishin', yadda yadda, etc., etc.) -Chances to encounter these new NPCs on the road, in dungeons (wouldn't it be nice to have a little help here and there instead of soloing these haunted ruins?) -More dogs in cities and villages -Generic NPCs in all villages, rather than just the two I mentioned -Compatibility for the "Real Cities" mods How's it sound? I'm going to contact the author of the Real Cities mods and ask if they intend to add more Hold Capital cities in the future. In the mean time, I'd love to see this idea blossom into reality! [EDIT: Checked in on author's Workshop, they do intend to follow up these two with more. May end up making this idea obsolete, if they do villages too. Otherwise, let's start with the little outdoor hamlets.]
  6. Huh, you're right. Well, basically, OP in that thread said "there should be mod that lets you take all the Final Fantasy mods and shove 'em up yer..." You get it. 1st Amendment what?
  7. Cigarettes themselves wouldn't be quite so lore-friendly, but...maybe cigars? Pipes are a definite must, would like to see that...I could probably even work cigars into lore!
  8. Just as a word of caution, read this thread: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/923155-final-fastasy-proctology/ Expect a fair bit of this while the mod develops. Personally, I fully support the idea. Why should Cloud and Lightning be the only ones whose weapons get put in Skyrim?
  9. This does kinda bother me. I mean, if I shoot someone in the face with a crossbow, the bolt should get embedded in their brain, right?
  10. This, or: -80s hair metal "YEEEAHHHHHHHHHH" (think Axl Rose or CC DeVille) -Death Metal "RRRAAAHHHHHHHHH" (M. Shadows in "Bat Country", perhaps?) - Maybe even replace words altogether with a sick guitar lick?
  11. Something I haven't seen discussed yet...if you're going to remove magic, undead, vampires, and werewolves...what about Khajiit, Elves, and Argonians? Visually changing the races to human is doable, but what about the audio files referring to "cats", "lizards", and "elves"?
  12. Hmm, all do-able, just a question of how to go about it. Frostfire shouldn't be a big deal, it's the shadow magic that bothers me a bit. There's no "shadow" element in Skyrim...
  13. So, I'm sick of the vanilla chargen process, as it's time-consuming and, after my last re-install, I intend to have several different characters for different play styles. However...any time I use an alternate start mod, I get an instant CTD the moment I try to switch to a female character. Any idea why?
  14. Well, we did get Solstheim! ...although I hear it's rather buggy, even for TES content...haven't purchased it yet. I'd like to see more children of different races, and have HF compatibility so that they can be adopted. I'd also like to see more beastfolk! Sure, Skyrim isn't the most Argonian-friendly place...but neither was Bruma, and there they were! And c'mon, Khajiit have fur coats, they can't be THAT cold...unless it's a particularly wet cold. Maybe a DLC that adds on to the Civil War? Seriously, I'd like to see it fleshed out a bit more... And last but not least...DEATH TO THE THALMOR!
  15. Lydia actually proves useful once you're high enough level to outfit her in Daedric or Dragonplate armour...if you can stand looking at her that long! :hurr:
  16. Heavy. Usually a completely custom modded armour, but I also use Daedric a lot.
  17. You, my friend, just won all my internets for this post!
  18. Here's your Soul Reaver: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/29168
  19. Does anyone know of a player home built like a castle? I was always very fond of the castle homes in Morrowind and Oblivion, but so far I haven't been able to find one for Skyrim. Even if it's just an empty clone of Castle Volkihar, that would be awesome too.
  20. Going to follow this thread, as it looks like it's gonna be absolutely epic once it's done. Can't wait!
  21. I'm far too young to know the game as far as gameplay goes, but I have indeed seen the cover (my parents made sure I knew about all the cool stuff!) and I think that it would indeed be awesome to make (though I'm no mesh designer)
  22. That was the video that made me think about spellweaving. Dual-wielding spells is pretty fun, fire and frost make a great anti-warrior/archer combination, and frost/shock does awesomely against mages, but still, I would like to see, in addition to the combinations showed in the video, perhaps something like, "fire + frost = paralysis with a slow burn" or something.
  23. So, back when I first heard about Skyrim, I had heard we would be able to "spellweave", by combining different spells together to create new ones. When I finally got my hands on it...well, I was a bit disappointed. I'm normally a melee-class player, but I had been excited about the thought of being able to combine spells instead of having to stick with a specific set. Is there a mod out there that allows this (preferably without SKSE, as it seems to dislike my computer)?
  24. I could do a little voice acting, race would depend on what was needed, as I have a fair range of voices and accents that I've worked on over the years (I have a knack for storytelling)...I'd just have to get a better mic EDIT: I posted in another thread that VA -may- be a problem due to my having parrots, but I think I could work around it.
