Thanks god obsidian dosn't make an other fallout :)
nivea replied to 3AMt's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Discussion
Wow zetenrisiel, you really DO want something 100000% different then most Fallout series fans. I can see why you do not enjoy FNV the replay is a important part of the series since you make different choices in each play through and be a different kind of person as well. Have you tried the Metro series those might be more your style (I enjoy them to). Neither of the games are "Better" then the other, we all want different things in our games. But it is wrong to look down on Obsidian for making a proper Fallout series game or even in a different setting, its just different. Though I find it amusing when people complain about some things that are actually persistent through both games. -
Not sure where that picture of my mod came from, its a odd looking display? But you can not just place Daniels plaid shirt texture on it, because those are two totally different meshes and they have different UV mapping. You would have to load both outfits in Blender/3D Max and fit them together. You could try this tutorial on blender: http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Creating_an_armour_for_Fallout._Part_1

If no one has made somthing like this by the time I finish work on some of my other mods I will see about making one, but it will be awhile as I have more pressing WIPs right now. :)

I actually did this for my ED-E, I made him make use of the new animations to add some good personality to him. It works really well and was not hard to do, I had planned on possible releasing it but I need to remake the .esp because it was for my personal use and is unbalanced with the crafting system.

You would not see the items of a mod in NMM you can only see them in the Data folder, if your not using a mod go to the mods tab in NMM and click the "deactivates the selected mod" button it "should" remove everything the mod installed. I say should because NMM is a OPEN BETA program you have agreed to test for the Nexus devs and since its a BETA it can sometimes not work correctly, you should always double check in the data folder.

I do not know any mods famous for causing problems with 188, but I DO know that 188 is very very buggy and any mods that edit that area can cause it to crash. Save near 188 but not where you can see it yet, and then start turning mods off until you find the problem one.

Hard cap is actually 255 mod plugins, but the game becomes very unstable after about 150-200. The game also has a hard cap of how many "items" are in your data folder, this includes .esp/.esm/.bsa after a certain amount it causes the game to become unplayable as well. Texture going purple, meshes disappearing, red !, game crashes and save game corruption are all products the issues. So it might not be the esp/esm hard cap but also to many "items" in your data folder, if you have any mods your not using delete the .esp/.esm/.bsa of those mods to save space.

You do not have his permission to release the file, so you do not have permission to release the file. He actually does provide information on this: "Modification permission You must get permission from me before you are allowed to modify my files to improve it." Soooo that pretty much says no, you may not get in trouble but its best you know the etiquette for any future stuff you want to upload. To find more information on mod permissions go into the action area and hit the Perms section, it will bring up info on the modders choices.

LE The future of Skyrim Mods?
nivea replied to DashingKnight's topic in Skyrim's Creation Kit and Modders
Fallout 4, TES 6, and whatever comes along  I think Skyrim modding has been done to death, I would make more mods(than I already have lined up, picking at slowly) but most of the stuff that is needed or wanted is there for the taking so adding more of the same isn't that important...for me at least but I don't ask for much. I just want to play with some new toys now, until then might get into TESO. TES 6 ??? ... nope. they already stated that tes online will NOT be able to be modded. its because its an online game, gamers would have to run the same mods, thats simply impossible, so they said NO to MODS FOR TES ONLINE. actually they said that already several times. considering the amount of bugs in a regular tes-game... well, i dunno about you, im gonna say "thx, im gonna skip this one". TES 6 is not the online game, thats a different game not to be confused with the single player games its been stated that they are "supposedly" not impacting any of the future TES single player series. Northborn: I hear you, its been that way since Oblivion (to a lesser degree in Morrowind) and it will be that way in any future moddable games. But if there is one thing I have learned in modding its mod what you want and do not care about who is more popular, if you care about that then you should try a different series then TES (I find the FO groups to be alittle more interested in quest and lore friendly stuff it seems) its always going to be about the girl with the largest set of breast and hips with the least amount of clothing. I have come to accept this. I ignore those mods best I can and do what I feel like doing, I know I for one would use your mods because I already use your mods and have enjoyed them since the day you released your hoods. You may not get the big downloads or big numbers but those of us who like good quests or lore friendly stuff will use and appreciate your work. -
[WIP] Russell, a new companion by Someguy

You don't, I've played and completed it all while having a free account. It says "Adult-only content" and instructs me to pay for an account when I attempt to download it/view it. Why dont you turn ON adult content in your user preferences?- 183 replies

If you want a duster that is without armor that has been done, its just the meshes under the duster that would need work. http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/36154/?
-
You would have to rebuild the actual mesh because pretty much every part the duster covers is has no mesh under it, so the back/arms/butt areas are all cut missing meshes under the duster. Also the pants would need to be retextured because it has a permanent shadow made into the texture for the duster. You could try somthing like this, it gives them a better fit: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/44120/ or these: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/39625/? http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/38887/?

Leather Armor, Reinforced Bug First Person
nivea replied to lessien881's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Troubleshooting
That is how gloves where made for the game, they often do not have any wrist mesh so there is nothing for the arm to connect with. Only way to fix it is to redo the gloves in a 3D program like Blender, or open GECK and remove the gloves from the armor. -
Some people like their women shaved as a naked baby, other people like them more natural. This has some hairy variations in it including under arms, NUDITY WARNING of course: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6554

New mod author comment moderation features and updated terms of servic
nivea replied to Dark0ne's topic in Site Updates
In response to post #10253653. #10254590 is also a reply to the same post. I get a TON of "constructive criticism" but 95% of it is nothing constructive and all personal opinion on my personal choices I consciously made as a modder. I even put it on the front page first post and even have stickies on it, but people still feel they should say their "constructive criticism". -

I most likely will not use the block feature and most modders I know will not either, however I would use it for those cases I think are extreme enough to use it on... I DO however love to be able to block people from messaging me and keeping my threads nice and clean of silly arguments and issues. -
FO3 has masks like that, you will need to put them FNV yourself of course but thats easy enough for someone new to do. http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/11087/?

Just got new vegas on steam. What mods do you recommend?
nivea replied to WolfBaron's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Discussion
I do NOT suggest you get nvamp, it is EXTREMELY out of date and VERY buggy because of it. I personally suggest you play without mods for alittle while, get a feel for the base vanilla game and then you will have a better idea of what you want in your mods. To many people grab every mod they see right away and end up breaking their game or ruining the experience right out of the gate. Play it for a couple days vanilla then you will be able to know what you want to change about the game. -
What companion do you want to see in the game?
nivea replied to jplittle's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Discussion
Creatures not commonly used for companion: Giant Rat (not molerat just the rats) Ants (a miniature ant queen might be kind cute, name her princess lol) Flying bugs Very commonly used creatures: Deathclaws Geckos Roaches Matnis Dogs But really it does not matter, make something that inspires you. -
Body Mods. Requesting recommendation or reason.
nivea replied to TrueSaiko's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Discussion
No problem, most FO3 retextures and mesh replacers will work in FNV without any work. :)
