  1. You have to change a line in "GECKCustom.ini" In Vista & Win 7 it can be found at C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Fallout3 the line to change is bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=0 to bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1
  2. the checkbox label is "Is Chargen Face Preset"
  3. I'd recommend trying >The Groovatron< it makes using pose mods easier
  4. I don't know if this is up your alley but it does have fem version included >Raider Power Armor<
  5. transferring the player face to NPC can be done, though not with GECK It takes >FO3Edit< & >FaceGen Exchange for FO3Edit< If you need a good manual for FO3Edit this is one >Web-enized by csb< Hope this helps
  6. Another good general companion mod is >Groovy Followers<
  7. I second this, batch files are very handy, I use them myself make a text file in Fallout3 folder, put in console commands & save Start game & when you would type all the codes just type bat "file" (without quotes) for example, one I use alot bat mysettings
  8. what might almost be what you want is to give the NPC a custom class that is skewed heavily towards "unarmed" skill
  9. Sounds like the animation files (.kf) weren't removed I'd recommend reactivating in Fomm's "Package manager" & try deactivating again to clear out the files
  10. Mandatory Patching, not a good thing IMO As a Dial-upper I can empathize with your plight Retribution
  11. If someone could make a mod which automatically switches between first and third depending on the situation (i.e, switching from the not attacked/hidden state to under attack/caution-danger state), I would explode with joy. Reposting this from the 1st Person vs. 3rd Person thread in FO3 Discussions. If this is possible it needs to be done! Even if it needs FOSE, I would start using it for this alone. haha, When I said that, I had no idea it'd be the basis for a mod request. I'm curious if this is even possible.
  12. blindly messing with loadorder can lead to trouble quickly but FOMM is very good tool to have for any wanting to use Fallout3 mods. But like any tool one needs to learn how to use it effectively. this is true, to a point. but FOMM now has a feature that let's one export/import their loadorder so one needs only to adjust the order once even for one using more than one character (unless more mods are added) & the more mods added the more useful control over loadorder becomes
  13. Aren't the ears in FO3 part of the Head mesh, where in Ob they weren't because of the differing types needed (Human, elf, khajiit)
  14. cerberos008's >Warhammer 40k Space Marine armor< is made so the pipboy is hidden by adding armor over it that the player looks in when needed but if no pipboy is wanted I'd recommend >Pipboy Readius< which gives you a PDA instead of a pipboy mounted on arm
  15. >Enhanced Children Project< is what I use for my playable/killable child fix
  16. And I can see that it would be easy to die if you happen to take the drug at a bad time
  17. I bet someone will change that just like any other part of the game that's able to be modded
  18. That's what I've heard as well TES 5 is being made in-house & is supposed to released this year & FO4 (not to be confused with FNG) might come out in 2011-12 IMO Bethesda game (it's not just Elder scrolls anymore) modders need not worry about running out of games to mod

    RANDOMNESS!

Oh mighty thunder god I hope your hand gets better
  20. I just checked out the "Cat_Outfis_Fanged_R2-7649.7z" file & it's a bit messy. In the "kaw" folders there are no subfolders to differentiate the separate outfits & I wouldn't be surprised if there was an alternative body hidden in there too. I might check it out later with GECK or FO3Edit later. on the Texture issue it might help to toggle Archive invalidation off & back on. Is your Character supposed to be a child or should it be an adult? (the "can not use as child" issue) Sorry I'm not much help ATM
  21. metalman21, by any chance are you using either Vista or Win 7 & have installed Fallout3 to the "Program files"?
  22. I don't think I can honestly vote for either since I use both so much First: for accurate aiming Third: for walking around Clothing: Companions can look good without putting me at a disadvantage
  23. A couple of good ones are.. >Sharing and Caring Companions< & >Groovy Followers<
