  1. And then there are us edge-case folks, who have no HDDs. I got tired of disks failing every three years, so all my storage now is SDDs. One 500GB © and four 1TB work drives. All of my temporary storage is on SDDs - and I really don't worry about it.

  3. You need more details about what you are doing. If the game is some version of Skyrim, an incorrectly installed and deployed SKSE or FNIS could cause this.
  4. Really well written response; I hope some version of this winds up in the WIKI. Does not really answer the OP's question though. Let me try a rephrase: Do mod level conflict rules (unrelated to plugin order) wind up in Appdata?
  5. If an extension has not been written for Atomic Heart - you could do the community a service by writing one. Full directions are on this site. Some games are really easy to write an extension for, some are really hard. Games that require Frostbite are typically not supported.
  6. For Skyrim SE make sure you are using XPMSE. And make sure you run FNIS. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1988
  7. Well this is what Google tells me. I have never tried it personally: 1. Convert FAT32 to NTFS without Losing Data Using CMD Step 1: You can start the command prompt by right-clicking on the "Windows" icon and choose "Search". ... Step 2: Type "help convert" and hit on the "Enter" key. ... Step 3: Type the command "convert G: /ntfs:and press the "Enter" key.
  8. Note: Nexusmods is not a Pirate site. It hosts no downloadable games. Only mods.
  9. That is a Windows requirement, not a Vortex requirement. Nothing Vortex can do to fix it. You may be able to reformat the drive NTFS (losing all your files in the process).
  10. One the dashboard look at the entry called Fallout 4 Script Extender. Click the three dots. Select Edit. The target path is shown. Make sure it is correct. Mine is: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\f4se_loader.exe
  11. Pro tip: Click that column header to sort by installation time. Want to see the last ten mods you installed? There they are, all together at the end of the list.
  12. Opened in error. Sorry about that...
  13. Thanks for taking the effort to clean it up and let us know.
  14. This topic is marked "Answered", but it is still a real bug that needs to be fixed. I hope it does not get lost.
  15. If F4SE says it can't find the executable - believe it. Check your F4SE shortcut on the dashboard. Make sure the path is correct - and you select Primary.
  16. This is the place to come! I got bitten with the same irritating error. And now - all quiet on the Western front. Thanks!
  17. For some of us, the goal is simplicity. Make a mod manager that does one thing well - manage mods. For me, Collections was a bridge to far - although that seems quite popular.
  18. Comments are not always accurate - but they do say "Trying to run Fallout4".
  19. You are missing my post just above yours. Don't use Vortex to launch your game. You don't need it, and it chews up memory and resources.
  20. If you bundle multiple complaints into the same topic - you are likely to have some ignored. To set what executes when you click the game, choose the one you want in the Dashboard Tools section, for example SKSE 64. Click the three dots and select Make Primary. Done. If your executable choice is not there, click Add Tool and the bottom of that window.
  21. Since this was not mentioned before: Your Mod Staging folder must be on the same drive as it's game. It can be internal, it can be external. Network drive not recommended for performance reasons. And it has to be formatted correctly. If not, you will get a message that no deployment methods are available.
  22. Picky you never disappoint. That is absolutely perfect. Can I ask you to add a link to it to "Vortex Help Center, FAQ, Documentation". That would help others. If there is already a link there - just means I am blind. Thanks again!
  23. Surprisingly, I can't find this covered in the help documentation. I just wanted to upgrade my GPU. One thing led to another, and now I am building a whole new computer. Even new Windows license. Games I can copy over and validate. Save games I can copy over. I would like to preserve my 100 or so Vortex profiles and mod staging folders. I am looking for tips on how to do this. Nothing is at risk - since my old computer will remain intact. Thanks!
  24. Also - check how your hard drive is formatted. Not all formats are supported. Just NTFS - if I recall correctly.
  25. Your save games are located in Documents/My Games/Fallout4. As long as your Documents are not on the ill-fated Drive D, you can't lose your lvl 147 character.
