  1. Interesting npcs, inconsequetial npcs and lively taverns and inns. I highly recommend interesting npcs, haven't tried inconsequential and I persoanlly didn't like LIAT.
  2. Then ace, asis and ballanced spells seems like the thing you are looking for. You don't have to take all the modules for ace, read up on them and maybe take a few perk trees from sperg, but make sure they don't conflict with the ace modules you are using. You can always add duel combat to these mods, if you want a faster paced game. I haven't tried duel combat, but I really liked ace and I'm gonna use it again when I'm done with my SkyRe playthrough. SkyRe is also great but not as compatible (but there are patches for most of the popular mods), but it changes the combat to be faster and harder, so you'll definitively get another playstyle, if you choose that one. You could also check out erso erkeil, which is a pretty large overhaul with a lot of single modules which makes it compatible with other mods. The author of SkyRe actually recommends ersos dragons priest module. What about morrowloot or some encounter zones module like the one in asis or erso to make the world more static? They make it so that creatures and items don't level up with you but have a cap specific to an area.
  3. I can't find the installers directory when using Wrye Mash. Both Wrye bash and Wrye Flash are working fine, but not Mash. It is not in the Morrowind folder as the readme states. And it is not in the Morrowind mods folder as with bash or flash. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
  4. When using NMM you have to install texture mods in the correct order. If you have mod A and B and think that A looks best, but still want some of the other textures from B that A doesn't have. You should install A last. In WB there is a big list of all your mods and you change the install order by moving mods up and down the list. With NMM you have to uninstall/reinstall.
  5. You really don't need NMM, cause it's not always a good idea to update your mods on a current save. Info from the old version can be written into your save and make your game unstable over time. You should only update if their is a fix or feature you really really need. I think you can move either your NMM downloads or your wrye bash install folder to one or the other. Search for guides on youtube for tes5edit gopher has a good one as some mentioned earlier. With regards to wrye bash i just installed it and every time there was something i didn't understand I checked the readme. It is pretty simple and you be up and running in no time. Just start installing 5 mods and start playing the game. Keep a backup save of the stable game and run as long as you think you wouldn't mind a CTD. If you don't have a CTD install 5 more mods and run again. When you run into problems you just uninstall and start from the working save without those mods installed. If your file doesn't have a esp/esm file it will never be written into your save, so you don't have to worry about texture mods. You can install/uninstall them at any time without reverting to an earlier save. Just to make it clear you can install mods to a save, but not uninstall it. Start by installing the mods that changes most first. I get the feeling that you like me want to install a ton of mods and have the complete experience, but you might end up modding for 50 hour and then find out that your game crashes after an hour of play. Enjoy the game and try to enjoy adding mods as you progress. If you don't wanna do that and still want a 100 mods. Bite the bullet and follow the STEP guide.
  6. You won't hit the 3.5 gb limit with 2k textures. Vram his how much ram is used by the card at the moment. Not how big your data folder is  If you want to take the graphics to the limit with a fully tested list of mods. It's a guide to the best graphics mods and bug fixes etc. They have some minor gameplay mods, that enhances the game, but doesn't change the feel of it. For instance by making npcs flee from dragons instead of fighting them. Check out what mods they use or follow the whole step guide http://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:2.2.6 Just a personal tip. Use Wrye Bash instead of Nexus Mod Manager. You'll have much more control of which textures overrides which when you install multiple texture mods. You'll also be able to make a bashed patch, which makes your game much more stable. Don't write of all ENBs of. There are many different styles to the ENBs and with that card you should be able to get a nice frame rate too. I use enhanced shaders & fx preview 4 with Climates of Tamriel and the saturation turned a bit down on my tv. Doesn't look like WoW  Get TES5Edit and learn how to make a merged patch together with the bashed patch. You won't need this until you have a lot of plugins (most texture mods don't have plugins, esp/esm) Oh, and IMO LIAT is very immersion breaking. It's just a pile of npcs cluttered randomly into the taverns. I had trouble getting around in there and it didn't look realistic because the AI wasn't made to have that many together in a room.
  7. Looks awesome, even though it isn't completely lore friendly!!
  8. Yeah I've looked at the page, but couldn't find a precise answer. AFK seems cool and it sounds like it's more stable which is pretty important. I just liked the idea of going into an inn with my band of 15 warriors shouting at them to relax and se how they tear up the place by, dancing, sweeping the floor or drinking beers, like true nord barbarians ;)
  9. It's nice to hear how the mods changed your gameplay and not just what the mods do, like arteMurder, Leafynn and Rennn did. But it's cool to get your opinions anyhow:) Keep it coming!
  10. Hey. I've returned to Solstheim only to find that the ash pile containing the letter in the March of the Dead quest has despawned. I've tried to use the console command Player.AddItem xx01bfe5 1 to spawn the letter, but it says the object doesn't exist or something. In any case nothing happens. What can I do to finish this quest?
  11. The body replacer is CBBE: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/2666//? use this skin texture: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/32986//? and the face could be this: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/7887//? Keep the 10$ :)
  12. Does AFT have an option to make your followers hangout? UFO has an option to just make them relax, drink beer or doing whatever they like. Can AFT do that?
  13. So for my next play through I'm gonna make a nord barbarian, who's the leader of a barbarian horde. This guy is a real hardcore badass. I actually never wanted to play a barbarian, because i prefer finesse and tactics over brute force. I was inspired to play this character by these mods; UFO - to get my horde of warriors, Race Menu - to make my nord the biggest tallest badass around, Deadly Mutilation - to smash my foes to pieces. Locational Damage - to make combat more interesting. Climates of Tamriel Winter Edition - to make Skyrim feel like home, Immersive Armor - Barbarian armor. But i still need a muscular body replacer with some rough looking skin texture. I also need a brutish to-handed animation replacer. I'm gonna use mods to make my nord the only character with these skins and animations. And if you have any suggestions for gameplay overhauls that would go well for this style of play I'm all ears too.
  14. With a heavily modded Skyrim both gpu and cpu are equally important. It also depend on what types of mods you want to install. If you want alot of npcs on screen then cpu is key. If you want high-res textures and ENBs you'll need a good graphics card. You shouldn't go for a card with more than 3gb ram, because Skyrim isn't able to handle more than that (if I understand it correctly). But don't underestimate the importance of a good cpu! Check out this link, it has all you need to know: http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Hardware#tab=Introduction
  15. With this many mods your game is likely to get unstable. It might not be a specific mod, but just your game and system which is overloaded. You could try uninstalling some of the heavier mods or optimizing your textures. What texture size do you generally use? The immersive patrols and all other mods, which add npcs to the world space are quite heavy. Start by uninstalling a few of them.
  16. I know this is an old thread, but it worked! And you just saved my day!!
  17. You have to cancel the parental feature to see the mature content.
  18. Hey all. I'd like to start a discussion about game changing mods. There are alot of mods out there and the all have different purposes, but which mod has had the biggest gameplay change for your Skyrim expirience. The mod you mention should not only enhance Skyrim, but also reinvent it in some way or another. Of cause the big overhauls like SKyRe or Requiem change Skyrim in a lot of ways, so I'm not just asking which, but also why. In what way did the particular mod change the way you play Skyrim, and how did it change it into a new expierience? It is not restricted to gameplay mods, but the change the mod makes should change the way you play. For example book covers is a graphic mod, but it made me take my time to read alot of books and to start a book collection, which made the game have a whole new goal.
  19. Found the solution myself. Had to run FNIS again.
  20. Okay, I tried unpacking my BSA filse using BSAopt, I packed them with winrar and installed through Wrye Bash in correct folder structure, but ended up crashing the game. I had moved the original bsa files to a backup folder, so I moved them back and unsínstalled the unpacked files through Wrye Bash. But something is really wrong with my game now. The textures looks fine, but animations are all messed up. Most npcs are just sliding over the floor or sinking into it, some even seemed to be split into wierd parts looking like balls of garbage floating around. I used the validate game cache feature in steam, but it didn't fix nothing. Do you have any suggestion of what to do without losing my save?
  21. http://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:2.2.6 Scroll down to step two, you'll see them all.
  22. Hey. I'm looking for a mod which makes it possible to add animations to the dovakhin only. I really like the mystic knight animations, but it would be alot cooler if I were the only mage in skyrim who casted spells like a boss. Anyone know if it is possible to add new animation patterns to the player character and not the npcs?
  23. If you are using Skyrim Redone you should not install gameplay mods (like altering perk trees or other stuff) which aren't specifically made for it, check compatibility notes on the mod pages, or you might end up screwing with the balance of the game or make it crash. FYI SkyRe already has alot of gameplay changes, so there is really no need for it. You should give realistic needs and diseases a try http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/26228/? For more Frostfall awesomeness add wet and cold http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/27563/? plus a few cloaks http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13486/? and http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12092/? . This will make people wear cloaks and rain gear when bad weather comes around. For more inspiration check out http://www.skyrimgems.com/ it has it tab for realism mods of high quality.
  24. Didn't hurt to ask the question. Although unlikly the mod author might have given some information on why he took the mod down.
