  1. Very clear, let's see what i can do about it :) One thing i dislike, though, is post-shot edition. Like modifying things with photoshop. I like to see what people can do with what they have in game only, and sometimes the most simple modded game can provide a quality content in the screenshot. But it is only my opinion of course and i respect those who like to adjust and add things. That's fine. I really like this kind of event, not for the prize, but for participating and getting involved. Thanks for the opportunity. Good luck everyone and don't be ashamed to participate, what makes a screenshot good is not how it looks like, its lighting or textures, but what one is able to interpret from it, the feelings the image can bring to the viewer :)
  2. This is a very interesting event for the site! Everywhere in TES/Fallout communities we have screenshot events, this will be a great addition to Nexus :) I'm excited to see what is going to come out from this, i will certaintly participate with FO4. Oh, we even have prizes! Running an event like thiis only for the event itself is already very nice!
  3. Not only a great modder but a good person too, had a few conversations with him but saw a lot of his posts on the facebook group i was admin. Not playing Skyrim right now but, as always, my thanks! I didn't forget you, maybe we can talk about those pictures another time... If you still remember me... :') Luis aqui <3
  4. CBBE is a very simple mod that shouldn't cause any crash on it's own. I don't know about the config tool, i think i only looked at it once. Let's do this by steps. You dowloaded Nexus Mod Manager (new people should start trying MO 2 or Vortex by now, for me, NMM was not that realiable back then already), installed and it won't work. Have you tried uninstalling the mod and trying the game again without it? If the game works fine without the mod, that's fine. Delete your download, download the mod again, and install again. Try again. I would recommend you cleaning your ini files though. Delete them (fallout4 and fallout4prefs) from My docs/My games folder, then open the game launcher to create new ones. Install BethIni and run it. You can adjust everything inside it without much trouble. This way you'll be sure that your game can handle mods the proper way and your inis are fine. After doing it, then you could try installing the mod again, checking that it's esp is activated in the plugin list and you can even check inside your Data folder if the files are there. (easy way: unmodded game doesn't have Meshes folder. If after installing CBBE you now have a meshes folder, that's all good). *****Why: Bad ini can make your game behave in improper ways, and corrupt mod installation can make game crash or mod not work at all. NMM is known to sometimes make bad install or even bad downloads, hence why i recommended you to download again. Hope this can help. Installing mods is easy, making they play together nicely is where it becomes a bit difficult. But take your time, watch some videos, understand how the Mod Manager works, how mod files and plugins works, and you'll slowly get how to do it properly. I don't know if Nexus gives any notification about replies to the forum as i never had any, so if you want to ask anything, feel free to send a message, i will try to help as best as i can.
  5. Wow, you do use Loot? Sorry for saying this, but your load order is really all strange haha Looking at esp names won't tell me much and i never played SE, but when the game closes before entering the menu, one of the main reasons for it is missing masters. I know, you said that you removed the new mods, but i've been modding for a long time now and we do things that we forget later (I still remember when my game was lagging like hell and after 3 days trying solutions i remembered that i installed a new xml for HDT... good times). But well, after running LOOT, or if you use a Mod Manager, there is no error/warning? Are you sure you are not missing any esps? If you do not have any missing masters, then something broke the game and it probably does have nothing to do with the new mods. Maybe verify game archives with steam? Make a backup of your inis and open the launcher then, to make game files again. Do you use SKSE64? Have you tried to load the game without some esps?
  6. Oh faq2, i see you said you are using MO 2 2.0.7. It was updated to 2.1.3 already, and it is not recent. ALL Mod Organizer mod data is stored in Fallout 4 folder, including your profile and etc (i guess it is in your appdata folder), so it is completely safe to install a new version. (i did it ) Try doing it, download the newest version and install over your old one, or just delete the old one and install the new version in a clean folder, just be SURE to NOT delete the Fallout 4 folder from MO 2. Falout 4 MO folder can be anywhere, just pay attention to this: https://i.imgur.com/iuNAVQB.jpg. Here you can change where the folder is if you want to move it aywhere else. Then, test with the new version and see if everything is working. Also, after installing the new version try changing to a new profile, then going back to your usual, and also you can test other aplications like FO4Edit to see if the virtual file system is working. Also check if MO2, F4SE, game exe and all apps that will run through MO2 are all set to run as admin. This CAN make some difference. Maybe this is just a bug with new windows version or just old MO 2 bad behavior, but who knows, maybe the vfs is really broken now. I hope updating will fix this for you. Also be sure that everything that should be checked IS checked, both plugins and mods. Just be aware that the game received an update today and this will break F4SE. Revert back to the old Fallout4.exe if you have it. Or wait for new F4SE and mods to be updated to it, everything will probably be out in a few days. *edit: sorry about the "if you use F4SE", you do use it.
  7. Since there are new mods around here, a mod from this month with less than 100 endorsements that can definetely be a file of the month... PIRAD is an excelent mod to manage radiation. payl0ad and BabyBearington surely do an amazing work! https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/25075
  8. Oh well, from your description, i thought you were doing that hehe So, well, if you are actually creating the mod from Overwrite, it won't work as the other mods do. But instead of creating a mod every time, just open Overwrite folder and your mod's folder and manual copy directly from overwrite to it. Maybe i just didn't understand your description very well. That's what you are doing, i guess. There is a function, though, that might help you (now that i understood what you're doing). In the MO executables settings, where you add the path to the programs you want to run, there is an option to select where you want the output of the program to go (like Bodyslide going to a Bodyslide mod folder) instead of going to Overwrite (this: https://s14.postimg.cc/l6v0b1qcf/asas.jpg). This may be what you are looking for. Everytime you use CK to edit the mod, it will throw the output just in your mod folder. If not, maybe i can't help anymore, since it is usually copy/paste anyway.
  9. Hello! Hey icysound, i know modding can be quite stressing to make everything work together as intended, but there are some things that are vital to modding. Load order is one of these. There are actually no 'right' load order, and even the tools to optimize it may commit errors. So, the question is, have you even used LOOT? MO comes with it bundled, i think (i use MO too, but i set my load order manually), just above the plugins list. A button above it, that is. Try it before anything. And it would be great for you to follow some guide, or even STEP, to know how to set things, what programs are good to use and etc. Run LOOT, make a bashed patch with Wrye Bash, install Crash Fixes, ENBoost... I have a guide in Portuguese just for these basic things needed for modding the game, specially LE. Also, are you sure you want to use ELFX with RLO? They are both lighting mods, and you should avoid installing mods that do the same thing if you don't know how to make patches yourself. Things can just go wrong. Really wrong. You even have patches for ETaC and both of them. And ELFX weathers with Supreme Storms. You must check if Supreme Storms is compatible with weather mods. CCO and it's pathces and addons are all scattered around lol And take SkyUI and move it just below the last esm. Some people say that it makes difference. Overall i can't see any real problem aside from the incompatibility between the lighting mods. Do be careful with SOS, if you're not going to use everything it has to offer, try the Lite version, also remember to install HDT physics Extension. The load order is just all messed up. Of course we can't know what is installed aside from the plugins, so a full report from Modwat.ch is usually the best way to send your load order to someone when asking for help. Hope this can help, consider trying to follow a good guide to set up the game before going on with modding, there is a LOT more than you might think... i spent nearly a week making patches in Tes5Edit the last time i "remodded" my game. :)
  10. Hello! I did the most simple test right now to try to help you: I created an empty folder Meshes/aaee. Used 7zip to pack it and named the pack meshes-222-1.0.7zip. Then, i created Meshes/qqeee, zipped it as meshes-222-1.2.7zip. Took the 2 files and put them in Downloads folder from mod Organizer (2). Now in MO, in the downloads tab, i installed 1.0, then 1.2. The option to replace or merge appeared, and replacing it worked as intended. In the end, the Meshes mod (as it was called when installed) has only the qqeee folder. So, if i undertood it right, you are trying to make MO recognize your mod as it does with the Nexus ones, so just name it as a nexus mod and it should be fine. When you pack your mod to add it to MO, name it something like "jacobamazingmod-1-1.0.zip". When you make an update, name it "jacobamazingmod-1-1.1zip", then "[...]-1-3.0zip" and so on. Well, i guess you are using the same name for every update, right? Like "jacobmod.zip" every time? I don't know about it throwing all the files in the same folder and it can actually be a bug, but try this and see if it works. Hope this helps
  11. I thank you for this information. I saw some people complaining about it before i could update, so i choose not to, and can't give feedbacks now, sorry. I don't know if i'll update it now, but people could understand more the two sides. The guys here are still updating NMM and trying to do the best for us, and after all these years of success, why send all the rage and hate inside you over them if you didn't even paid for it? They could just look at that "death threats" and say 'f**k you all', but no, they'll try to fix it and give a possible stable and new - BETA - version, so everyone can update without messing with everything. Thanks for everything for now, and for the guys with ruined games, i think we all are sorry for it but you can go trhough
  12. well, if the mod is causing CTD EVEN when you load previous saves, then there's still a problem, i think? If the CTD is caused by load order, the game must return to normal after you correct it. More information would be good, like the mod you installed and where/when it's crashing. I'm not expert, just trying to help, i may be wrong. Have a good day :)
  13. Hello! Did you deleted all skyrim's folders? Even the ones in "my games"? Unnistall skyrim via steam, delete all folders (my games; steamapps/skyrim), and then install the game as usual. I'm not an expert, just trying to help. Some files remain in these folders and can ruin the game. A clean install should play fine. Graphic cards, directx and all that stuff must be up to date. Have a good day and skyrim will never be waste of money lol
  14. Thanks for the reply! Err, i thought the quest was on, so i continued my gameplay and no way going back lol Well, for what i remember, it realy started, can't figure when it moved to the completed quests :/ I see... So, the only way to restart dawguard is to deactivate the esm and save? I might try if its the only and last hope, but i'll be aware when playing with my other characters. A lot of quests bugged for me, and i think one of the causes was 'set timescale to 10'. Changing it back to 20 'resolved' some bugs, or at least made the game playable (= well, if someone have something to tell about this, i'll be glad. What remains without anwer is: Why the quest finished itself (it's showing only the objective 'Find out what the vampires are seeking')? thanks!!
  15. Hello! Well, i already searched the internet for it but i can't figure how to solve. My problem is: I finished the Dawguard quest (miscobjective), but awakening didn't started. Then, i searched the internet for solutions and one of them was to use the console. What happened is that Awakening did start, but i can't remember anymore HOW it started. I tested the commands and everything but loaded the game after, so i'm not playing with the commands. As i said, i can't tell you now if Awakening started with a command or not, but i never went to Dimhollow Cript, never did the quest, never entered a command to finish it, and it is in my complete quests. I don't know how to restart awakening so i can do the quest. If i set 'resetquest dlc1vq01' (the ID of awakening), it completes awakening (which is already in the 'completed quests') and starts bloodlines... But how can i talk with Serana if i never met her? There is a way to restart the (not) finished quest or maybe erase it, so i can do it again? Maybe restart Dawnguard quest itself. I saw that you can't go back in a completed quest, so there is no hope? I run the game with a lot of dawnguard dependant mods, so deactivating it (and the mods) and saving may trash my save. I hope i made myself clear, thanks and have a good day everyone!!
