  1. Check this out. https://vectorplexus.com/topic/912-bodytalk-v2-and-aaf-no-erect-problem/
  2. While my list of mods was not that extensive (I had around 400 mods) I made the decision to eliminate certain mods so that my game performance would increase. I am an ardent settlement builder and want to share my blueprints, so I have a huge number of settlement mods that I will not get rid of, but some of the mods that I did for textures, I bundled those up with the basic game assets as per a guide I found that has increased FPS and decreased CTDs. I normally do not have CTDs but FPS issues. So now, if I am going to build settlements, I set the graphics level to low and when I am not, I set it back to high so my FPS remains consistent. Bottom-line, you need to make adjustments with this game engine and one of the best ones would be to reduce the number of mods. The more mods you have, the more likely you will have CTDs or performance issues unless you have one heck of a PC and even then, you may still have issues. You can put a Yugo engine into a Ford 4x4 pickup and it will run, but when going uphill, it will run backwards!
  3. In the interim, just use the console to set the scale to a size that fits the area. The item will still take up the same amount of space, but it would look right. Just put it up against a wall or something.
  4. Yeah. It's a drag getting old and losing your mind. I think that is NotePAD++
  5. Was cleaning out my game directory and found the above file. I cannot figure out which mod installed this and whether I need it as I have two other mods to help with stability and FPS and I do not want this to mess those mods up. I suppose I can just move it and see what happens, but I am curious.
  6. Not vanilla as far as I remember. It may be due to a mod or mods that have broken previs. If these have been broken and you disable your mods and load a game that had those mods, I believe that data may still be in there, or, your copy of Fallout may have been messed up.
  7. AAF has an ini file. Open the ini file with Notebook ++ look for the following line: ; Adjust wizard hotkeys using DirectX Scan Codes ; See here for list of codes: https://www.creationkit.com/fallout4/index.php?title=DirectX_Scan_Codes toggle_key_1 = 36 ; Home Just look up the code and replace the 36 for home to another key of your liking.
  8. I don't know if you just don't post a lot or are new to the game. Also, you have not stated what exactly happening in your game. Is it just never loading up, or does it crash at certain times. This is crucial info to include in your request. If you are new to modding, your list is huge. You have to start small and build up. By starting small and then adding mods, you can see if that newly added mod is causing a conflict. You can check conflicts using xEdit but that takes knowledge, knowledge that is readily available on YouTube is you have the time and patience. Before installing a mod, see where the mod author want you to place the mod in the load order. I noticed that you have AAF. I believe AAF needs to be low in your mod order and animations need to be placed in a certain way in your load order. Also, I did not notice that you have installed Zaz extended Skeleton. If you are adult mods, that mod needs to be installed, again in a certain order. With each mod you are adding figure out what that mod is going to do and install those mods together and decide which mod will come after which, the mod that loads last wins the conflict fight which is not always bad as long as you prefer the changes made by the conflict winner. There are several guides to help with load order and optimization. Here are just a few: https://themidnightride.github.io/index.html https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/23556 (there is an updated version on Discord) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2242115007 (another great guide) An alternative to doing it with xEdit is to simply cut out 1/2 of your mods (make sure that the mods you disable are not dependent on other mods in your load order) then start the game. Run with it a bit to see if it CTDs or runs fine. If it CTD's then the troubled mod is still in your load order, if not, then you have a list of potential candidates. This is not by far foolproof because it could be that non of your mods are really breaking your game, but your load order is. I would not rely solely on Vortex and I would not run Loot's sorting as that is part of Vortex. When you know you have a stable load order, definitely do not sort it with Loot. Loot can tell you if a file is dirty etc., but I think Vortex will now do that also. My advice, check out the three sites/guides above as well as the updated guide on Discord. If these are not to your liking, just add a few mods at a time and when Vortex give you a message that there is a conflict, figure out which mod you want to be loaded after the other mod based on what the mod author stated you need to do, or based on what you know the mod is changing in your game. If you are an experienced modder, then my apologies for this lengthy response. When I started modding Skyrim SE, I would just add whatever mod I wanted without thinking, I would just allow Vortex to decide what went where in the load order (unless it would not give me any suggestions and then I just guessed). I have learned to mod by making a ton of mistakes and I still make them. Good luck.
  9. I could not take a close up shot without the content being too revealing given the puritanical nature of the site. You can decapitate, mutilate, and simply annihilate a person and that can be posted without blurring, but heaven help you if you show something of an "adult nature" i.e., nakedness. One might go blind I guess.
  10. You may have too many settlement mods, or there is a conflict that the engine is trying to correct. Disable each settlement/workshop mod one at a time (include any mods that are dependent on that settlement/workshop mod), play the game and see what happens until you find the culprit and then try to change the load order with the mod, or better yet load all the settlement/workshop mods and check them out in xEdit for conflicts.
  11. You may have to do it the old fashioned way, disable 1/2 and see if it CTDs and keep going until you narrow in the culprit. It sounds as if it could be some sort of settlement related mod, but I could not tell from your load order. You could check your mods using xEdit if you know how to do that as it will check to see if there are mod conflicts that Loot or Vortex do not catch.
  12. I have a habit of making my ini files read only, especially if I have made a modification to them. Nevertheless, whenever I look at them when I reboot my PC, the read only tick mark has been removed. Has this happened to anyone here before and if so, how did you come up with a fix?
  13. have you tried starting the game with no mods? If you have, there has to be a conflict between mods that the game cannot handle. If you can properly use xEdit (you really need to know how to use it if yu plan on modding) you can check for mod conflicts, if you can't, there are two options: 1. There are tutorials on line showing how to use the cleaning issue and conflict feature in xEdit; 2. Since you do not have that many mods, and assuming that the mods you have installed also have all the requirements listed by the mod authors, I would disable any mod that you had not used before your hard drive gave up the ghost. Galac-Tac Retribution has 3 other mods that must be downloaded for the game to work, and since this is a new mod, I would start with that one as well as the mods that it requires you install. If it does not CTD, then you have your culprit. If it still results in a CTD, then I would disable 1/2 of your mods and see if it still crashes. If not, then somewhere in the 1/2 that you disabled you will have your culprit. I say 1/2 in that I usually run a lot of mods, but if you don't, disable them one at a time until you find the problem. This method, while not foolproof, will help whittle down the culprit. I say that it is not foolproof in that sometimes it could be the combination of two different mods that are causing the CTD (this is where knowing how to use xEdit really helps). Alternatively, load the base game, plus maybe two or three of the mods and see if that works, and keep doing it. BTW, have you properly set up your ENB? Sometimes mods have difficulty with ENB,not as often as with ReShade, but sometimes. Sometimes, it is not a good idea to enable your mods right from the get go as they may impact the beginning of the game. Check out the mod author's requirements for each mod to see if they have a warning about that. Good luck.
  14. I have to disagree with the comment that Chaotic Sun is unstable. I played it with a heavily modded game and had no problems at all. It is an amazing mod!
  15. As I tend to build very large and elaborate bars in my settlements, I have been searching for such a mod for a long time. There is an excellent pole dancing mod that you can download on the site whose name must not be uttered. It is fully assignable to any NPC, even a companion. You can even assign the NPC to stay in the area of the pole and dance/climb/twirl 24/7. I have uploaded a pic of an NPC on it on Nexus, just check my "about me" and look at the images I've uploaded. It's entitled Greygarden pole dancing.
  16. Check out FallUI - Map https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/49920
  17. I've been down that rabbit hole. Recently, before I start a game, I go into the task manager and disable every unnecessary program. In addition, once I start the game, I go to the task manager and I change the priority of the Fallout exe above average so that it is given preferential treatment by my hardware. Today, when I was playing Overwatch for old times sake, I noticed substantial lagging and low frame rates. I never had that before so I checked my graphics settings in Nvidia. It appears that when I uploaded an update, the setting for power management was changed to a setting preferring battery life versus performance. No other setting had been changed and I know this as a fact in that I have been experimenting with the Nvidia setting for quite some time now and I know all the changes I have made by heart. I only realized this when I looked for a solution to issues with Overwatch and someone suggested certain changes to the graphics settings in Nvidia, that's when i noticed the setting had been changed for Fallout 4 in the Nvidia Control panel. Just finished a 3 hour play through tonight and my frame-rate remained right around 60 and my stutter was 99.9% gone and only showed up that .1% when I was in the heat of battle while beta testing a mod that included a huge battle between gunners and raiders. The stutter I saw was almost non-existent and I probably would not have noticed it if I did not have an overlay showing me statistics and the like. Of course, now that I have uttered out loud that my stutter problem may have been solved, I have jinxed myself. Damn!
  18. My first thought, and I am not an expert modder, but I can safely state that I am an expert and creating havoc when I try to mod (but without mistakes, how can we learn?) I would normally look at the mods that are similar to what you described as a CTD associated with a fire particle effect because those effects may have an impact on your graphics performance, which i turn is being impacted by broken precombines, etc. The stresses on the game engine and your graphics card may be the culprit. I do agree with the prior poster that any scrap mod should go at the bottom of your load order, but I would add that I would not be using Spring Cleaning. That mod has not been updated for 5 years. If you are going to scrap using a mod, I would recommend Scrap Everything. The problems you are having in Concord may be due to the load order of the scrapping mod you have. Good luck.
  19. I like the idea. Unfortunately, I neither have the time, and most importantly, the knowledge in making such a mod. It would be interesting though.
  20. You either forgot to save the setting first and then apply it, or, another mod is superseding the ENB.
  21. I had the exact problem with a game awhile back. I had one person respond, but they had no idea what was causing it. I also had Scrap Everything and also had the disappearing objects terrain fix and was running about 350 mods (lots of texture mods) I have more than enough of the required system needs. I am glad someone figured it out. Now I can reinstall Scrap Everything. Nevertheless, I am now having issues with massive stuttering that I have been trying to solve for the past week or so. I have removed 80 or so mods, redone the base game textures and added some of my own preferences, tried every optimization mod, and I have tried everything that Google had to throw at me. I will have a stutter free experience for 2-3 days and without adding anything or changing settings, and then out of no where, stutter. I have not seen any throttling when I benchmark my GPU and CPU, but in my in game overlay that I use for testing, it appears that the game is throttling at time. Very frustrating as I cannot come up with a fix, and if I build any settlement, the throttling will suddenly start or get worse. I must be a masochist. If you look up the definition of a Love-hate relationship, one of the definitions is playing Fallout 4. This game sometimes makes me want to drink.
  22. I use Immersive Teleportation 2 ( https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/35109 ) , but not the teleport part of that mod, but the portion of that mod that creates supply lines between any settlement that has the the Telelogistics machine installed. It works very well. Once all my settlements have one of those machines installed, I hardly carry anything with me.
  23. Depends on which Clean and Simple you use. Most of them do sane scrapping, as in not scrapping roads in Sanctuary. Some of them do that, plus make changes to existing buildings. The one I use for Sanctuary fixes all the houses to save you the trouble (you can still scrap the houses if you want them gone). Overall the Clean and Simple line is very well done, and saves you a bunch of time running around weeding a settlement. I'd go for them first instead of scrapall, then manually scrap any thing that is left that you still want gone. Scrapall is the nuclear option you use before a massive build. Save your game before using it, because you might not like the results. If you are talking about Jencave's Mods, they are very well done. I have used her mods for all my settlements. The one she has for Spectacle Island is very impressive. I also used to use Scrap everything, but not the ini that allows you to demolish the game. Still, any scrapping will mess up frame rates in the cell affected. Since I tend to create very large and elaborate settlements, my frame rate tends to drop a lot where anything has been scrapped. The Scrapall command, as someone mentioned above, is a time bomb waiting to happen and I would not suggest using it. I used it once because I was going to import a blueprint and the results of the scrapping were jarring. triangle shaped landscaping, a huge hole under the house where there was a basement, it was just not usable unless you intended to add a ton of dirt and build up the area by about 2-3 blocks. If you are going to scrap, just use Scrap Everything. If you want the least amount of performance hit, use the Clean and Simple mods. Remember, all these mods will break precombines and the like, but that only affects that particular cell and not the entirety of the Commonwealth, and if you are not planning on having a huge build, the drop in performance may not be that bad.
