  1. If you tell her you don't know the spell, she will offer to sell it to you. Otherwise, you can try reloading a save from before you first asked entry. She will ask you for a different spell every time you reload it.
  2. you buy spell tomes that you later read. You get these spell tomes from either the Jarl's wizards or from the npcs in the collage of winterhold. What kind of spell tomes they have available however, depends on what destruction/conjuration/etc level you have.
  3. weird, when they attacked me when I didn't want to say my opinion about talos I had to kill them in self-defence, and i still got a bounty... What hold were you in? If it was occupied by Empire territory, that could be why. Stormcloaks likely wouldn't give a damn. True, I was right outside the walls of solitude. Also.. if they started the fight u can kill them and still dont get any bounty, like.. self defense assasination xDD and as far as i know them.. they always do that... <___< i feel like re-starting with a high elf and see if they threat me better.. :[ I did kill them in self-defence and still got a bounty, like I said. The imperials side with the thalmor regardless, apparently  Another reason for me to join the stormcloaks...
  4. Already exists: http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1649
  5. Someone is already working on making unique unenchanted items. Here: http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1234 So far the nightingale armor, as well as the dragon priest masks has been added.
  6. Unenchanted nightingale armor? MY HERO!
  7. he wrote that he is already using that, but it doesn't change the larger spiders.
  8. try to wait 24h in-game time before looking again. They usually move a lot slower than you fast travel.
  9. I've never had problems with fighting them all at once. I assume that we are talking about the groups that usually consists of 2 shield and sword users, and one mage? Just go for the mage first, and then the others. I play on the adept difficulty though...
  10. they aren't simply passed off as bandit loot as far as I know. Which is better in my opinion, it always felt weird when all bandits suddenly had daedric armor in oblivion. I would however still suggest that you invest in the smithing perks. Its actually a really overpowered tree since you can improve all your items stats considerably.
  11. I don't think that the spider is questrelated in any more sense than that the darkelf is reacting to whether its alive or dead. and I think that he should still act as intended even if you remove the coprse through the console. Even if he doesn't, he should still wear that certain item you need to continue. So, just make sure to kill and loot the darkelf and you should be ready to continue.
  12. I dunno if using the console will break anything, but otherwise you can easily kill it from a distance if you have a bow or magic. You know the passage you go through right before the spider comes? Run back there as soon as the spider shows up. He will follow you, but he is too big for the passage, so you can safely hit him with arrows from there. EDIT: Otherwise, the only thing I can think of that could break the game in this case is if that trapped dark elf doesn't react to the spider being dead afterwards. But in that case you should find out pretty quickly. If he acts like intended afterwards, you shouldn't need to worry.
  13. Personally I think this is the best example/suggestion I have seen so far (not made by me, found in earlier posted threads): http://i.imgur.com/LvUlP.jpg Also, please make the world map and local map separate. I can live with the few seconds extra time it takes to zoom out when I want the world map, but the same timedelay of zooming out to the world map when you just want to see the local map? No thank you.
  14. like micalov said, just ask any innkeeper for rumors until you hear about a kid trying to contact the dark brotherhood in windhelm.
  15. This might not be a question about porting resources from one game or another, but it's still a question about using other people's resources outside this site and put it into a game. I know that like always you need proper permission from the original creator to use it, but assuming that one does get permission, what kind of proof is needed if questions later arise? I ask this because of this thread: http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/474929-armor-from-3ds-max-into-oblivion/page__gopid__3893586#entry3893586 Thought it was better to ask the moderators here than me just writing what I assume would be enough as proof.
  16. I know that you didn't try to "steal" the credit of the project, but the original author might perceive it differently if they ever find their resources uploaded here. As for proving that you have indeed received permission, that is actually a very good question that I can't answer with 100% certainty. So I will take the liberation of asking the moderators here so you get a proper answer. I'm just a user just like you who has just read most of the threads in "forum rules and strikes" In the meantime, you can ask the guy on deviantart you linked to where exactly he got the original.
  17. All mods on the nexus are free to download, but that doesn't mean that you are allowed to change and reupload it as your own project without permission, so I would say no. That's not enough to make it ok to use it. If you really want this specific mesh to be used, you need to find out the original author, and receive permission from him. The guy in the link you posted states that he merely removed some stuff from the original work, whatever that is, so you might not need permission from him though. Another alternative though, that would be legal, is to just use this mesh to make reference pics from the front, side, top and back, and then use those to create a new mesh of the same object from scratch. Good reference pictures are invaluable to a 3d modeller, which you in this case can get rather easily.
  18. you should probably state where you got this finished mesh. If you don't have proper permission it's illegal to just use them as you wish
  19. why create a new topic on the subject if you have already found a very much alive one?
  20. get the mod "thieves arsenal" and "Attack and Hide" for oblivion and you will have more fun playing a stealthy character in oblivion than in skyrim. I actually think bethesda included a few things from those mods to skyrim, but not all. Hopefully someone will make something similar to skyrim once the toolset is released though. Here is a vid on "thieves arsenal" in action (skip to the second part of the video): In case you can't tell, it was my personal favorite mod for oblivion
  21. The story missions in the dark brotherhood was definetely better this time around, but the "extra" or "side" missions you got where a bit dissapointing. Like the first couple of missions. No special requirements to cash in a bonus, no real planning needed. Maybe it's just me, but it felt shorter than it did in oblivion. On the other hand the thieves guild questline was a real positive surprise, and is currently my favorite guild. This even though my initial impression was pretty bad since they seemed so different from their counterparts in oblivion.
  22. sounds good to me, just a suggestion for another way to do the hotkeys: make it so that 1-5 will change the weapons on your left hand, while 6-0(oh, you get what I mean...) changes the weapon in your right hand.
  23. True... and now let me correct you by adding that no oblivion VANILLA content can be carried over, or it would be an illegal port. Even the mods ported needs the permission from respective mod authors. :P
  24. That would pretty much be the same thing that the project morroblivion tried to do. only with skyrim and oblivion instad of morrowind and oblivion. Considering that Bethesda was against that project, I doubt this would be ok with them.
  25. You should be able to turn any NPC to being marryable by simply using the console. Just open the console, select the NPC, and write in the following: "addtofaction 19809 1" And then: "setrelationshiprank player 4" And you are done. Of course, I havn't tested it for female khajits yet, and considering that they aren't in the vanilla game it's possible that they will be missing voice files.
