Excited the site is up, can't wait to see all of the new mods that will eventually come out.

Well, it's a fan made mod based on his work, not something he's selling, so I think he should be okay. Kind of fits into the same category as people making Lord of the Rings stuff for TES games. Anyways, hope to see this come to fruition. I always love a good quest/new worldspace mod, and plus, the shows are really good. I just hope your composers will be able to keep the same feel the original music had, as that would really make the mod special imo.

Well, lv100 already explained pretty well the top ones on my list, but I'll go ahead and put em down anyways. -Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2; I recommend getting both. While number's 2 ending isn't as satisfying as what you get in KoTOR 1, KoTOR 2 has a far darker atmosphere than KoTOR 1, and overall, I personally enjoyed number 2 more (until the ending, ofc). -Mass Effect 1/2; lv100 pretty much said it all :P -Witcher 2; I've been playing the heck out of this thing. 50 hours in and I'm still only partially through Act 2 (I think there are 3 in all) -Dragon Age: Origins; Epic upon epics here. I loved DA:O. DLC stunk imo, but the original game is awesome. Dragon Age 2 is kind of subjective, I personally enjoyed the game for the most part (until the final act), but if you're looking of story continuity, I'd suggest picking it up as well. -Deus Ex: Human Revolution; Honestly, I didn't expect much from this game at all, and got it on Steam at the very last minute to pre-order. I don't regret it. At all. Ever. I. Love. This. Game. Like a lot. Lol. I wasn't satisfied with ending, however, but for the most part, this game was a lot of fun. If you like MMO's, I suggest getting Guild Wars. You buy the game once, and you never have to pay an online subscription fee.

What about Morrowind? :P I know that's while I'll be playing before hand.
-
Yes it would be unreasonable. :P "Graphics" is just a renderer+shaders. That has nothing to do with adding items to the game, unless you are attaching specific shaders to your item, which most modders don't. Plus, with the same file format, as far as just adding new stuff goes, it will essentially be the exact same as adding new stuff to Morrowind, Oblivion, or Fallout.

There was a patch released today. Hopefully it fixed most of the problems.

o_O Where? Only thing I've seen is a crapload of Iron Armor + Variations. edit: Is it that first screenshot with the blind orc with a dread/mohawk mix?
-
This armor looks pretty spiffy. Giving me serious curiosity as to what the other sets will look like. Or special unique armors there might be. I just want to know what kind of armor that is. xD From the looks/style, I'd probably say it's Orc armor And if the concept art is any give away, the top pic def. has to be Elvish Armor. As for the Azura statue, it's nice to see they're bringing back the epic scale that we saw with a lot of the major landmarks in Morrowind.

It doesn't. Apart from all the issues the game is having on PC, the added fact of the RAGE devs stating "We're shipping the game with dev tools" has really let me down. Shoot, the dev tools are really the only reason I got the game. Went in, enabled console, and then typed in 'idstudio', and of course, nothing happens. Went back to playing Witcher 2. Lesson learned? Never pre-order another Id Softworks game.

Three possible mods I'll make for Skyrim

Don't know if they're animated, but there is transportation between major cities like there was in Morrowind. -

Idea number 2 is already in the game in the form of carriages. However, I wouldn't mind a disable fast travel mod. Nehrim didn't allow fast travel, which I liked, except for the fact there was no transportation between major locations. I modded fast travel back in because of that. -
I always thought music was the easiest thing to port. Drop mp3 and done. :P
-
That one actually comes down to personal basis. I personally would find it easier (and more fun) to port scripts than have to re-rig armor. :P
-
Eh, not really. Even in between Oblivion and Fallout/NV, conversion requires re-rigging the armor to the skeleton (unless you use that oblivion/Fallout skeleton combo that some modder made....that thing was a miracle). When it comes to rigging armor/clothing, file format never matters, it's all about how the skeleton is set up. And seeing the difference between Oblivion and Skyrim, it's obvious that the skeletons are drastically different.

Is that the music from the actual game or is it edited afterwards? It sounds good. :) Edited afterwards. the song is called "Love and Loss" by Two Steps From Hell.

Help with Fallout NV EULA
jhardingame replied to FrankFamily's topic in Fallout New Vegas's GECK and Modders
Gamebanana does not allow rips, all the files in the 'models' section are actually resources created by their respective uploaders. Since the models there are pretty much a free resource, it's a pretty much a green-light process right after you download it. Just remember to always credit the creator of the assets. :D -
You can always borrow my real one! http://216.92.160.187/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/hello-kitty-samurai-sword.jpg =D (edit; NOTE: I do not actually own a Hello Kitty katana.)

Sounds like fun :D As far as the high-res stuff goes, they probably didn't include it to allow better performance on lower systems right off the bat.
-
Yeah, the main trailer theme will is the main theme for the game called "Sons of Skyrim" As for the E3 stuff, all that music should be in game as well. I just wished they would make a video using the actual in-game music system so we could see what it was like.
-
Demo wasn't using in-game music. It was using music layered over the video.
