dizietemblesssma
I've done a search in both this and the discussion forum and didn't see a mention of this, so I thought I'd pop a brief note about makng Tales Of Two Wastelands a mod for Vortex to install in FNV. Although it' s not new that TTW can be made a mod using its installer, it hadn't occurred to me that this meant I could have TTW as an easy separate play option to NV, because Vortex has profiles! By making a new profile for Fallout New Vegas with its own savegames and ini files, then with no mods enabled you can install TTW as a mod and go from there. The TTW installer allows you to choose to install the TTW files to a directory that isn't the game folder; as long as you have FO3 and FNV installed, make sure that you have purged both games of all mods before running the TTW installer:)Then this directory can be zipped up and manually installed in your new profile as a mod! You will need to also install JIP LN NVSE Plugin from nexus, the TTW install wiki says that it modifies the FalloutNV exe to be 4gb patched and auto launch nvse, I don't know if it did that, but I have the GOG version which is already 4gb patched and my dashboard already launches NVSE directly as the primary. For some reason in my case I also had to enable MCM and DarnUI but i was going to anyway! I'm sure this is no revelation but it might help someone doing a search; people do still search don't they:) diziet
HadToRegister
people do still search don't they:) diziet Good infoBut Hell, people don't even bother reading the previous posts in a thread before they add their question to it :D Just look at all the threads where someone posts at the end "So, did anybody find an answer for this?" which shows they didn't read ANY of the previous posts. Zanderat
I actually did this with FNC, which has an installer also.
HadToRegister
This would probably be a great thread for the two of you to explain how you did the things you did to get TTW and FNC? installed
Zanderat
Simple. For FNC, simply point the installer at an empty folder. The only real wrinkle is that the FNC installer looks for falloutnv.exe. So, I simply copied it into the empty folder and then ran the installer. Once the installer was done, I deleted the copied .exe file and zipped up the remaining files into a mod manager friendly archive and installed it normally from there. rmm200
Just another datapoint... I have run TTW as a FNV profile under Vortex for at least three years. Works great. Willow is my favorite follower across both... FNC - I installed in 2018. I was never able to get satisfactory system stability out of it. Have not tried it in at least a year. And I tend to avoid major game changing mods. TTW is not exactly in that category...
Zanderat
FNC is stable for me, as is in it doesn't crash. But I do get fps dips at times.
