Blocked tags and authors

Hello, hope someone can help.

 

For the last three days or so, every time I search for mods on the website at least half of them have been filtered out. Whether I am searching pillars of eternity 2, fallout 4, mass effect mods etc, every game has hidden mods!

 

I get the line "Currently filtering by: blocked tags and authors." at the top of refine results.

 

Checked my content blocking and I am not blocking any authors or tags. I am allowing everything.

 

I also allow adult content.

 

No idea what is going on. It's quite frustrating.

 

I checked the forums for a solution but could not find anything that helped.

 

Help!

As a test I searched for Pillars of eternity 2 mods on my phone (not signed in to my account) and got 501 results over 26 pages.

 

Same game on my pc signed in I get 250 results with 251 filtered out.

 

As another test I had the mad idea it may be my browser so I switched, but no same results."

There is a link right at the end of the "currently filtering..." thing, for "Clear Filters". Give that a shot.

Gotta be something strange you have set in your profile then.

 

I am kinda surprised the clear filters didn't work....

I tried it and got 11 blocked mods. Not showing any files blocked by choice.

I keep getting this result "Quicksearch returned 50 of ≈65 results in 33ms". If I left click on the "Show all results" it takes me to the Search Results page that shows this: "Found 0 results. 25322 have been filtered out. Currently filtering by blocked tags and authors." Also, clear filters does nothing. There is something wrong with the search.

Just to clarify, are you checking the blocked tags for the game AND global tags.

 

The place to select for global/games tags is in the section My Nexus Account > Content Blocking in a dropdown list immediately under the heading:

 

Search for tags to block

Use game-specific filters to search for tags to block.

I would post a snapshot, but Nexus has a rather asinine protocol for adding images to posts.

Sorry for the late reply ScytheBearer.

 

Yes I am checking the blocked tags for the game(s) and global tags in my account settings.

 

Double/triple checked everything you said to look at in your post.

 

Nothing is being blocked by me. Everything is clear (unblocked) on my screen and I have toggled on "Show adult content" ( I never have toggled it off).

 

Just checked several different games (fallout 4/skyrim/witcher 3/pillars 2) and it appears that just under half the mods of every game are being blocked/hidden for me.

There is also a bug with the counts shown on the "full search" page where it will intermittently show a random number of "filtered" mods even if nothing has actually been filtered.

Hi Pickysaurus,

 

1. I am checking that page you placed in your post. No Global or individual game tags are being blocked by me. Everything is clear. Currently Blocked tags shows "none".

 

I tried blocking/unblocking tags to see if that would sort things out but nope, same problem persists.

 

2. Mods are being filtered out. Its not a visual glitch

 

For example: The mod for Pillars of eternity 2 "Play as a Fampyr and other new subclasses" does not appear at all when I do a full search for all mods for the game. There are also only 13 pages of mods. However if I am not in my account the afornetioned mod right there on page 2 and the full page count of mods is 26. If I sign on the page it disapears with quite a few others.

 

It's not just for this game, but for every game on this site. As I mentioned previously, nearly half of the mods for every game are being filtered out!

 

Also its not as if they are just the 'adult' mods being filtered out. It seems completely random as the the disapeared mods include weapon/armour/clothing reskins. new mundane items, textures, class rebalances etc.

 

The date the mods were published does not seem to matter either as mods from 2 years ago or more end up filtered out including newer ones.

 

I feel a little frustrated as I cannot work out what is causing this to happen!
