We see morons like that now and then. They don't get to hang around too long after they've made a noise and get noticed.

What did they expect?

They know they won't last long, idea's just to be as big a hateful disruption as possible before someone kicks their account in the head.

Then of course they go back to whatever hellhole rock they normally hide under to complain about being treated unfairly or that thay've been ganged up on by the staff here.

Pathetic really but pretty standard by all accounts, the behaviour's nothing new.

Hopefully they grow up and their lives get better, so they don't feel a need to be hatefull trolls anymore.

Slightly less interesting than formal warnings and bans but we have a new section here: https://forums.nexusmods.com/forum/9055-takedown-requests/

We'll be using it to post when we have DMCA/takedown requests from companies and we've deleted content as a result.

I noticed that.  Good to see the Nexus being more transparent about those.

Hopefully, but I wouldn’t count on it. I’ve known people like that, and they rarely learn their lesson. They thrive on being the biggest inconvenience to others as possible.

Holy craps, a certain multi-accounting scumbag needs to be investigated by the authorities.  I hope I don't have to explain why...

I don't think I want to know.

I saw this while scrolling through the bans thread.

Download abuse. 100k+ mod downloads in very short period of time.

How the heck did they do that? Actually, don't tell me. I don't want nor need to know—probably a computer program or some other malarkey.

Here's a better question. Why would you need to do that?

It's called 'scraping' and is usually from site owners who steal mods for their pay sites. I don't know much about programming, but maybe there needs to be a download limit imposed to stop this. These unscrupulous thieves are making money from our hard work and we modders get nothing.

Speaking as both a modder and a mod user, I would welcome this.
