I'm curious what all the chinese in his sig means

Anti CCP rant.

Removed, since it's just there to cause more trouble.

His comment in the notice looks off because it's missing the non-engllish part, he was posting between two for some reason.

Full thing:

Quote

If you are patriotic, don't use foreign websites. If you really like china, don't use English.

Don't use foreign computers. Don't use english and computer. Go back to your country. Don't embarrass yourself here. go back to you country.

I've been seeing a lot of users who were banned for having a compromised account. What exactly does that mean?

Basically that they've either been hacked or compromised somehow and used to spread more malware. This is why piracy is bad, mmkay?

Seeing how many accounts are banned for that, it's pretty concerning. 😕

Unfortunately, there's been a repeated creation of a certain file page (FPS booster) that's the cause of this. It contains a link to download the disguised malware from an off-site source and people keep falling for it.

We remove the page and ban the uploader, but as with most annoyances they keep returning with new accounts (newly created, or using a stolen one) to repeat their attempts to spread this trash.

If people would be a bit more careful about what they download this wouldn't be as big an issue as it is, but not everyone's as cautious as they should be or know what signs to look for.

That's why I always wait for a mod to have been around for a certain amount of time before downloading it. Whenever I see a new mod that I think is interesting, I'll bookmark it and wait, say, a week before downloading it to ensure it's safe. Also, I have the best security software I can afford.

I know that may seem extreme, but that's how I do it.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Some people need a hobby that involves going outside once in a while.

That mod's comment section is going to generate a lot of bans/warnings from the looks of things.  Already a few more there that are just waiting for the moderators to pass by again.

It's probably better people like that don't encounter others directly.

It wouldn't be good for their health, or the blood pressure of anyone that ends up dealing with them.
